Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the influence of leadership and management of school principals together on the performance of junior high school teachers in Air Kumbang District. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative research method. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire. Testing requirements analysis hypothesis testing. There are 3 conditions that must be met before conducting regression analysis, namely 1) normality test; 2) homogeneity test; and 3) linearity test. Based on the results of the above research, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the leadership of the principal on the performance of teachers in SMP in Air Kumbang District, which means that the better the leadership of the principal, the better the performance of SMP teachers in Air Kumbang District . Thus it can be concluded that the second hypothesis is accepted. From the results of this study the authors suggest to other researchers, to examine the performance of teachers in Air Kumbang District, to include other variables such as motivation, compensation, level of education that can affect teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of pedagogic competence and professional competence on the performance of elementary school teachers in Kisam Tinggi District. This research is a type of quantitative. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The prerequisite tests to be carried out are normality test, linearity test, and data analysis using simple regression. The results of data analysis can be explained that overall the pedagogical competence of elementary school teachers in Kisam Tinggi District is in the good category seen from the distribution of the highest data in the good category. From this explanation it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between pedagogical competence on the performance of elementary school teachers in Kisam Tinggi District. In addition, it is also seen from the results of the calculation of the product moment correlation that there is a positive influence between professional competence on the performance of elementary school teachers in Kisam Tinggi District

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the Principal's Strategy for Improving the Quality of Learning in SD Negeri 7 Air Kumbang District. The method used is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study can be concluded that the principal at SD Negeri 7 Air Kumbang has an obligation to strive so that all the potential in his institution can be utilized as well as possible in order to achieve the expected improvement in learning. The various strategies undertaken by the principal in order to improve the quality of learning at SD Negeri 7 Air Kumbang include (a). Improvement of Teacher Teaching Ability, (b). Optimizing the Use of Media and Educational Facilities, (c). Implementation of Routine Supervision, (d). Collaborating with the Community and (e). Strict Application of Discipline. All of the principal strategies above can work well because the stakeholders in SD Negeri 7 Air Kumbang work together to improve the quality of learning. Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the influence of the principal's leadership style and student learning outcomes motivation on teacher performance. With quantitative research methods. The method used is descriptive quantitative method used to process data characteristics related to the average number, look for percentages, and present interesting, easy-to-read data. Data in the form of a questionnaire is classified as quantitative data. The technique of collecting data in this research is through a questionnaire. The results showed that; (1) These findings provide evidence that an increase in the leadership style of a principal by a headmaster will have an impact on improving the performance of public elementary school teachers in Air Kumbang District. (2) there is an influence between the motivation of student learning outcomes on teacher performance. These findings provide evidence that increased motivation for learning outcomes will have an impact on improving the performance of SD Negeri teachers in Air Kumbang District. (3) there is an influence between the principal's leadership style and the motivation of student learning outcomes simultaneously on teacher performance. These findings provide evidence that increasing the principal's leadership style and motivation for learning outcomes will have an impact on improving the performance of SD Negeri teachers in Air Kumbang District.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the influence of principal leadership behavior and teacher work ethic on teacher performance in public elementary schools in Air Kumbang district. With quantitative research methods. The method used is descriptive quantitative method used to process data characteristics related to the average number, look for percentages, and present interesting, easy-to-read data. Data in the form of a questionnaire is classified as quantitative data. The technique of collecting data in this research is through a questionnaire. The results showed that; (1) there is an influence of principal leadership behavior on teacher performance (2) there is an influence between work ethic on teacher performance. (3) there is an influence between the principal's leadership behavior and work ethic together on teacher performance. These findings provide evidence that an increase in principal leadership behavior and work ethic will have an impact on improving the performance of SD Negeri Air Kumbang District teachers.

Abstract

The principal as a leader in the school environment is not only obliged to carry out administrative duties but also concerns the task of how to manage all school programs. He must be able to lead and direct both administrative aspects and the educational process in his school. This study aims to determine and describe the role of principal leadership in implementing school-based management at SD Negeri 20 Air Kumbang. The method used is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study can be concluded that the leadership of the principal at SD Negeri 20 Air Kumbang has fulfilled the characteristics as a principal by being able to lead his subordinates well, the principal is able to empower the school's resources in the school and the principal of SD Negeri 20 Air Kumbang has a very important role important in the successful implementation of SBM, especially in the areas of financial management and public relations management. The principal tries to implement SBM effectively and efficiently so that school goals can be fulfilled.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the implementation of teacher certification in improving teacher performance at SMP Negeri 1 Rambutan. With a qualitative descriptive research method, the use of qualitative descriptive research design in this study is intended to describe and analyze the implementation of teacher certification, especially to obtain an overview of the relationship between teacher certification and teacher performance. Data collection techniques in this study through interviews, observation, documentation and triangulation. The results obtained from the research Almost all teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Rambutan have an S1 diploma, it is estimated that 90% of PNS teachers in this school have been certified. Of course this affects both the school and the school environment. With education that meets the standards that teachers have in accordance with their scientific fields, it will certainly have a major influence on the learning process in this school.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe (1) the management of human resources in the SMA Negeri 2 OKU library, (2) the management of library collections at SMA Negeri 2 OKU and (3) maintenance of library collections at SMA Negeri 2 OKU. The method used is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study can be concluded that the management of human resources of the OKU Public Senior High School 2 library starts from the recruitment of library staff, library staff at SMA Negeri 2 OKU, the management of the library collections of the OKU Public High School 2 starts with conducting internal library coordination meetings, during the meeting. will discuss the planning of library material processing including inventory activities, classifying, cataloging, making library completeness, compiling catalog cards, compiling books and magazine processing. And the maintenance of the library collection of the OKU 2 Public Senior High School library is adjusted to the level of damage, namely for the level of small, medium to severe damage or those that cannot be used anymore.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis yang belum begitu ditekankan dalam proses pembelajaran Biologi dapat menyebabkan siswa tidak terlatih berpikir kritis. Hal ini terlihat dari proses pembelajaran yang kurang mengeksplor proses berpikir kritis dan analistis sehingga kemampuan siswa rendah dan siswa cenderung pasif dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk itu dibutuhkan solusi terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar dengan penggunaan model inkuiri terbimbing terintegrasi mind mapping. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan model inkuiri terbimbing terintegrasi mind mapping dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Kampar Timur.Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi-ekperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh kelas X IPA SMAN 1 Kampar Timur. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 2 kelas yang terdiri dari kelas X IPA 2 berjumlah 33 orang siswa sebagai kelas ekperimen dan kelas X IPA 3 berjumlah 33 orang siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes penguasaan konsep dan berpikir kritis berupa pretest, postest dan membuat rangkuman mind mapping. Analisis data untuk menguji penggunaan model Inkuiri terbimbing terintegrasi mind mapping untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa adalah analisis uji MANOVA, dan analisis N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh mind mapping dalam inkuiri terbimbing terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar pada kelas X IPA SMAN 1 Kampar Timur dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000<0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terintegrasi mind mapping dapat meningkatkan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa SMAN 1 Kampar Timur.

Abstract

Salah satu program pembangunan yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah yaitu transmigrasi. Program tersebut bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan transmigran, peningkatan dan pemerataan pembangunan serta memperkukuh kesatuan dan persatuan bangsa. Salah satu wilayah yang dijadikan lokasi transmigrasi pada tahun 1953 ialah Kampung 2 Jorong Mahakarya Kecamatan Luhak Nan Duo Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. Masyarakat yang mengikuti program transmigrasi berhak mendapatkan lahan usaha seluas 2 hektar  dan lahan pekarangan seluas ½ hektar dari pemerintah. Pada tahun 1980-an banyak dari transmigrasi yang menjual lahan yang didapatkan dari pemerintah sehingga menyebabkan anak generasi pertama transmigrasi tidak memiliki lahan. Akibat tidak memiliki lahan maka sebagian anak generasi pertama dari tranmigrasi tahun 1953 bekerja sebagai buruh kelapa sawit. Upah dari bekerja sebagai buruh kelapa sawit dalam setiap bulannya kurang untuk mencukupi berbagai kebutuhan keluarga sehingga para buruh kelapa sawit harus melakukan berbagai strategi adaptasi supaya dapat bertahan hidup
