Abstract

UAV Serindit V-1 merupakan wahana terbang tanpa awak tipe fixed wing yang didesain khusus untuk pemetaan atau monitoring wilayah terpencil seperti area perkebunan. Saat menjalankan misi pemetaan dan monitoring, wahana ini hanya mampu membawa kapasitas payload sebesar 250 gram dan terbang selama 10 menit dengan jangkauan terbang sejauh 5 kilometer. Untuk meningkatkan kapasitas payload dari wahana terbang UAV serindit V-1, perlu upaya peningkatan koefisien gaya angkat yang dihasilkan oleh sayap UAV Serindit V-1. Pada penelitian ini, upaya peningkatan koefisien gaya angkat dilakukan melalui desain perangkat Hight Lift Device (HLD). Perangkat hight lift device yang telah didesain, kemudian disimulasikan pada software XFLR5. Berdasarkan simulasi yang dilakukan, perangkat HLD dengan sudut defleksi sebesar 00 (flapless), 40, 80, 120, 160 dan 200 menghasilkan koefisien gaya angkat masing-masing sebesar 0,414; 0,484; 0,551; 0,616; 0,679 dan 0,74. Pada sudut defleksi yang sama, perangkat HLD menghasilkan koefisien gaya hambat udara masing – masing sebesar 0,017; 0,0235; 0,033; 0,045; 0,06 dan 0,076. Sedangkan untuk glide ratio, pada sudut defleksi perangkat HLD sebesar 00 (Flapless), 40, 80, 120, 160 dan 200 masing-masing menghasilkan lift drag ratio sebesar 24,296; 20,596; 16,697; 13,632; 11,363 dan 9,75.

Abstract

The process of melting basalt stone from Mataram Baru, East Lampung has been carried out over a mini shaft furnace with a temperature of 1600 ˚C. Basalt stone with the smelting process was modified with slow and fast cooling methods. Based XRD result shows the methods were significant applied to the liquid of basalt stone. By a slow cooling process, the crystal structure is unchanged from the original material but the mechanical characteristics increased. While by a fast cooling process, the amorphous crystal structure and weak mechanical properties are obtained from the original material. The results show, both products have a great potential to be used as advanced material. With a slow cooling process, it can be applied as a friction resistant material while by fast cooling method, the products can be used as ceramic materials.

Abstract

PG X in Jember is one of the agro-industries that processing sugar cane into sugar crystals. This factory works seasonally. To ensure the consumer demand for sugar, the sugar factory should operate efficiently during their production season. In fact, it was found that at the downtime at the boiler department at this factory was up to 181 hours for six months production period in the year 2018. This happened mainly in the bagasse conveyor section. This paper is focused on efforts to find out the cause of the high downtime and its possible solution. Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) analysis was employed for measuring machine effectiveness. It is found that the lowest OEE value of 68.27% was in June, while the highest one up to 98.46% was reached in September. The most affecting factor to the low OEE value is reducing speed losses. It affected by 46% to the overall six big losses factors. Based on fishbone analysis, the main cause of the high value of reducing speed losses is lack of supervision in transporting bagasse to the conveyor. The inappropriate dimension of the scrapper (a part of the conveyor) is another reason. Therefore, it is recommended to increase supervision in transporting bagasse to the conveyor. Another recommendation is to reduce the scrapper length. Analysis of the free body diagram of this element shows that reducing its length from 1.215 mm to 1.195 mm will reduce the displacement from 6.67 mm to 4.72 mm without degrading the function of this part.

Abstract

To assist the soldier in training the agility and accuracy required of technology for movement and targets, factors that need to be considered like, field conditions, target movement and personnel movement against the technology used, an understanding of firing theory and the physical and psychological condition of the personnel themselves. To realize the application the authors use the communication to move the shot will be tested using long-range radio nRF24l01 which serves to send and receive data between sensors with firing shots. By analyzing data communications that have set points and using TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) in PDM (Pulse Duration Modulation) method, it will get the result of tool testing.

Abstract

Energy is something that cannot be separated from human life because every activity carried out requires and produces energy. From some energy sources, there are activities carried out by the human body which are the potential to produce energy that can be utilized. One of the human activities that are often done is walking and running so that from this movement energy sources can be created. In this study, the calculation and design of backpacks with changes in length variations, variations in spring constants, and optimization of generators to produce electrical energy are better. This research began by designing a backpack that generates electricity by utilizing the power of human walking. Then the determination of product requirements is related to gathering information and products to be designed. Information obtained from previous research journals. Next, a study was carried out on the design of a backpack related to the calculation of the frequency of human gait needed to move a backpack and the calculation of springs. In this study, the results obtained are the voltage generated when the human condition goes by 3.863 watts, and when the human condition goes upstairs by 4.56 watts, while the running condition is 5.39 watts. So that the more movements humans make, the higher the voltage generated. And the resulting spring constant value is Ktotal = 22,612 N / m, and for the unit spring constant is 11,306 N / m. While the magnitude of the force produced by the load is 17.48 N.

Abstract

Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is an optimization that is simple and reliable to complete optimization. In this method, the distribution of particles through global search and local search is the key obtained through searching with PSO through the inertia parameter. This paper describes the method of changing the weights on PSO using fuzzy signatures. In this paper, the method used to solve the problem of optimizing the LQR control parameters on the stabilization of a double inverted pendulum. Performance evaluation is done by another weight change algorithm. Integral Time Absolute Error (ITAE) 7% compared to other algorithms. PSO signatures have resilience and are optimal in fulfilling these interests.

Abstract

Internet and industrial revolution 4.0 brought influence in society, especially in agriculture, the changes that occurred were in farming activities by applying appropriate technology. This activity is much in demand, especially the planting irrigation process. However, the process of irrigation or irrigation that has used appropriate technology still has some shortcomings such as pumping and control hardware systems that are still stand-alone using a timer, so the automation and monitoring process is still semi-manual. As done in the cultivation of janggelan (black grass jelly), which focuses more on irrigation governance, because the janggelan requires water intake and fertilizer nutrition which is always monitored. In order for the device to function optimally, it is made a miniature tool based on the internet of things to facilitate control and monitoring via a smartphone. In order for the miniature tool can be integrated and function in real-time with the Internet of things, then all devices (YL 69 sensors, Relay, Board NodeMCU esp 8266 are given C language coding commands, via the Arduino ID interface. synchronization between the user interface, the miniature devices, and Internet networks running normally. IoT devices and internet networks can run normally. Sensor data is able to give the pump selenoid command to turn on under humidity conditions of less than 65%, while the pump is off at 40% humidity. The success rate of data sent on Google Firebase with an average total ping of 70.28% was all successful.

Abstract

Along with the advancement of information technology, many needs depend on internet usage. A study of the reasons and places of the community in accessing the internet is needed. The methodology used in this study is descriptive analysis in regencies/cities in South Sumatra. The results obtained were above 85% of the population above 5 years in the Regency / City to access the internet at home for various reasons. Social media, entertainment and as a place of information are the biggest reasons people access the internet. There is a connection between the reason and the place where residents access the internet in the Regency / City of South Sumatra Province.

Abstract

In solar powered water heaters, solar radiation falls into and then absorbed by tube collectors which are then used as a source of water heaters for household and industrial needs. One effort to improve efficiency in solar-powered water heater systems is by adding a reflector under the collector. The main purpose of this study is to find out the effect of the reflector on the collector's efficiency during the charging period. The tube collector consists of absorber pipes, water pipes, and reflector. While the parabolic reflector is made of stainless to maximize reflection to the collector. In these experiments, the water flow was varied at 0.48 l/min, 0.59 l/min, and 1.82 l/min. Temperature measurements were carried out at several points: (i) inlet, (ii) outlet and (iii) phase change material (PCM). While radiation intensity was measured using a pyranometer. The data were compared between heater with and without the reflector. The highest collector efficiency was achieved when applying 1.82 l/minute with the maximum collector performance with reflector and without a reflector is 76.8% and 69.7% respectively. It is be concluded that the use of reflectors can increase the efficiency of tube collectors for water heaters. The outlet temperature was higher by 1.7% than the previous result when using water flow rate of 0.59 l/min.

Abstract

PT. XYZ adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang building dan repair kapal. Kapal yang di bangun oleh PT. XYZ di desain dengan modern, nyaman dan tanguh. Sistem emergency tangki bahan bakar pada kapal yang dibangun oleh PT. XYZ sangat sederhana yaitu dengan cara kerjanya, pada saat ada kebakaran di sekitar area tangki bahan bakar, maka ABK kapal bergegas naik ke anjungan untuk menarik tali kawat agar katub tangki bahan bakar tertutup. Dengan kekurangannya sistem emergency tangki bahan bakar yang kurang baik, maka akan dibuatlah sistem pengendali tangki bahan bakar pada kapal secara otomatis menggunakan jaringan kabel optik. Sistem ini dirancang dengan pengontrolan jarak jauh dengan menggunakan komponen-komponen seperti motor servo untuk menarik tali kawat pada valve tangki bahan bakar, mikrokontroller untuk sambungan kontrol motor servo, Sensor api untuk mendeteksi bara api, konverter optik untuk sambungan kabel jaringan dan juga interface web untuk mengontrol sistem. Dari hasil pengujian, sistem ini dapat bekerja dan berfungsi dengan baik. Sensor api dapat membaca bara api dengan jarak minimal 2 cm dan maksimal 7 cm dengan kecepatan transfer data yang sangat cepat adalah 1.01 second. Hasil tersebut didapatkan setelah melakukan uji coba dengan beberapa kondisi.
