Two decades or more, in the global scheme, Islamic studies have been enforced to take broader paradigms from dogmatic-theology to popular-religious. Islamic studies is not merely discussing on sacred corpus only, but everyday life of Islam also. In academic space, this field has increasingly been an intersection -if not a contestation- across disciplines, such as political science, anthropology, sociology, history, economics, media, and cultural studies.

Abstract

Issues regarding peace issues and conflicts are always heavily discussed. Not surprisingly, there are many events that are oriented to re-establishing peace and harmony. Indonesia with the largest Muslim population, remains known as a peaceful residence and can manage diversity. The proof, it is not Islam that is used as an ideology, but Pancasila. But this ideology is rich in noble values that strengthen the solidarity of Indonesian people. In this article, the author tries to explore the values of peace and harmony that read the verses of the Qur'an from the life of the Indonesian people. The trident ethos in Pancasila is the focus of the review of this article. Besides Pancasila is Indonesia's ideology, a country that has an important role in peace in the international world, another reason for the author is that Pancasila is inseparable from the spirit of Islam, a religion of moderate character. Keywords: Peace, Pancasila, Interpretation, and Qur’an.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out and to analyze problem and the role of the TNI Special Operations Command (Koopssus TNI), as well as obstacles faced by the TNI Special Operations Command in the prosecution of  terrorism in Indonesia. This research is discussed and motivated by the increasing complexity of terrorist acts which use the latest technology,  international networks and close links with other transnational crimes, as well as endangering national and international security. The research method is conducted using normative law, while the source of legal material used is through secondary legal material which is material obtained through library studies by examining various references relating to the object of this thesis study such as books, legislation, scientific journals, print and electronic media. The statutory regulations in this study are the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5 of 2018 concerning Eradication of Terrorism Crimes, Law Number 34 of 2004 concerning the Indonesian National Army and Presidential Regulation Number 66 of 2019 concerning the Composition of the Organization of the Indonesian Armed Forces. Based on the results of this study it can be seen that terrorism is not only a criminal offense, but also is broader than that. Terrorism is anything that wants to change Ideology, including those based on religion. The Special Operations Command of the TNI handles Terrorism Crimes which is highly escalated and its deployment under direct order from the President. The TNI Special Operations Command is a new structure within the TNI, and addresses urgent issues. The role of the TNI Special Operations Command is not optimal because it is a relatively new organization. Its existence is as expected because it accommodates the interests of the TNI, related to being able to handle strategic matters at the national level so as to accelerate its deployment under direct command from the TNI Commander. Keywords:TNI Special Operations Command (Koopssus TNI), Role, Obstacles,    Terrorism

Abstract

The development of the scientific world and human thought patterns are increasing, starting from something abstract to something real and can be proven. Along with these developments, positivistic epistemology has mastered the science and the study of the philosophy of science in almost all regions. Thus giving birth to new paradigms and discoveries. Even so, there are still several problems. With this remaining problem, it gave birth to thinkers in the twentieth century who wanted new studies in the philosophy of science, such as Karl R. Poper (1902-1994) with three main themes, namely, the issue of induction, problems and standards and problems of the third world, and Thoma S. Kuhn (1922-1996) came up with a revolutionary idea of science which was marked by the process of shifting the old paradigm to the new one. But in between, Imre Lakatos comes with the Methodology of Scientific Research Programs which contains several important elements, first, the Core Program (hard-core), which is the basis of the Lakatos methodology which is the initial assumption of research or scientific research that cannot be replaced or modified. Second, the protective circle (protective belt), this function is to withstand various attacks, testing and obtaining adjustments, even changes, and understanding, to defend the hardcore. Third, a series of theories, namely the relationship between the theory and the next theory, which is the result of the auxiliary clauses added from the previous theory. These three elements have their respective duties and roles in developing science. So in general it can be said that the benefits of a research program are determined by the extent to which scientists can develop findings or even become useless. Keywords: Research Program Methodology, Islamic Studies, Islamic Education

Abstract

The presence of the text amid the reader gives rise to different forms of meaning and understanding. This difference in understanding and meaning is due to the diversity of each reader with a variety of complexities in their life backgrounds. The existence of the text needs to be questioned again about the extent to which the truth of the text is in expressing and expressing reality as a whole. Likewise, the understanding of the concept of "religious language" contained in the texts of the Qur'an also needs to be studied holistically to obtain a correct and comprehensive understanding. One of the Muslim intellectuals who quite covered everything related to the language of the religion was Komaruddin Hidayat. The research method used in this research is a literature review (Library Research). For the results of this study that according to Komaruddin Hidayat's perspective, the religious language which tends to use symbolic languages has the potential to generate speculation and understanding relativism. This is one of the spirits to always interpret or interpret the holy book in the form of modern interpretation such as the hermeneutic method or other classical exegetical methods. Meanwhile, hermeneutics wants to portray itself as an art and a method of interpreting "other absent realities" either because it has passed in time or a long distance from places, where the present reality is represented by the text. Keywords: Language, Religion, Hermeneutics

Abstract

After the fall of Orde Baru, various religious sects emerged as if they were endless. Not only radical groups but also conservative groups and even splinter groups. These schools are present by offering solutions to various problems faced by society, from the economy to spiritual needs. Al-Qiyadah Al-Islamiyah, which was founded by Ahmad Mushaddeq, for example, is present in a society that is thirsty for spiritual needs. Gerakan Fajar Nusantara (Gafatar), which is a metamorphosis of the Millah Abraham (Komar) Community, is here to offer solutions to the problems of conflict between religious adherents that seem never to be finished in Indonesia. This New Religious Movement offers a new concept regarding the relations between Semitic religions. This movement considers that the differences between Semitic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) are only biological, not theological. This view is the concept of hyper-tolerance, which is the tolerance that crosses the boundaries that differentiate the respective Semitic religions. This view is one of the reasons for the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) to issue a heretical fatwa against Gafatar. The concept of tolerance that is relevant to building harmony between religious communities in Indonesia is the Agree in Disagreement offered by A. Mukti Ali, which is to believe that religion is the best religion without needing to blame other religions. This concept is in line with the values contained in Surah Al-Kafirun, namely allowing other parties to carry out their rituals of worship without the need to be confused with different religious teachings. Keywords: New Religious Movement, Gerakan Fajar Nusantara, Agree in Disagreement.

Abstract

Substantially, Islam and western culture have the same view about education. Both are oriented in personality and intellectual formation of children, namely the formation of intelligent personal morality. In Islam, the Qur’an, Hadith and Ijma ‘ulama as based in building the concept of education. While in the West understanding, that nationalism becomes fundamental footing. Each civilization has a different character, so that the products also have different characteristics. According to Hegel, as a representation of western figures, Education also defines as something real, transcendence, which is progressive from a subjective or negative, and depending on moral potential. To achieve a positive and essential moral (moral height), one must uphold universal moral and life in environment circles. Eventually, people will attain and gain virtue and moral absolute through education. It is not much different from the view of Ibn Sina as one of the People of Islamic Education assumed that between idealistic values with a view pragmatic. He combines learning materials or theories that children learn in school with jobs of interest. For Ibn Sina ‘, something which is very important thing to be done in the education system is to examine the level of intelligence, characteristics and talents of the children, and keep it in order to determine the favored choice for the future.

Abstract

Social change has driven Islamic law reform. The reform of Islamic law has encouraged one of Indonesia's Islamic law reformers, Munawir Sjadzali, to re-realize Islamic law in the distribution of inheritance in Indonesia. By using the contemporary paradigm, the results of this study indicate that Munawir Sjadzali's ijtihad paradigm has given birth to a new spirit to implement ijtihad in Islamic law reform in Indonesia, namely the renewal of inheritance law by reinterpreting the Qur’an text about 2: 1 between men and women become equal between the two. The provisions of the inheritance law are formulated and applied based on the consideration of the true sense of justice and the benefit of human life. Keywords: Social Change, Ijtihad, Reactualization, Islamic Law, Custom, and Inheritance.

Abstract

Historically Islamic Education has formulated two currents of thought which both take different forms either from the aspect of material, educational system, as well as in the institutional form. The two models are 1). models of Islamic education that has traditionalist pattern (easting) which in its development more emphasis on doctrinal-normative tend exclusive-apologetic . 2). Modernist Islamic education model (Western) which then in its development is considered losing its transcendent spirits. The emergence of current thinking on the duality model of Western-style Islamic education can not be denied as a result of the heat of the globalization and information era.Based on this condition, it takes a strong foundation for the study of the implementation of Islamic education in the form of integrative epistemology. Epistemology results logical consequences in the form of eliminating a paradigm of dichotomy between religious and general science, changes patterns of indoctrinated Islamic education into participatory patterns between teacher and pupil, substitutes ideological paradigm into a scientific paradigm which is based on the revelations of Allah, reconstructs secular and free spiritual values curriculum into curriculum based on monotheism, and change the approach from a theoretical or conceptual approach to the contextual approach.
