Abstract

Kertas merupakan salah satu media yang dapat digunakan untuk menulis informasi.Meskipun sudah memasuki era digital, namun permintaan kertas di dunia terus meningkat. Universitas merupakan salah satu instansi dengan konsumsi kertas terbanyak. Contoh penggunaan kertas dapat dijumpai pada saat universitas adalah saat mahasiswa mengerjakan tugas perkuliahan. Penelitian ini melakukan perbandingan jika tugas kuliah diserahkan dalam bentuk kertas dan dalam bentuk digital. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa efisien pengerjaan dan penyerahan tugas jika menggunakan kertas maupun digital (tanpa kertas). Selain itu, penelitian ini juga dilakukan untuk mengetahui hal-hal yang dapat ditingkatkan agar lebih nyaman untuk mengerjakan dan meyerahkan tugas melalui media digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian pustaka dan survei ke mahasiswa Universitas Pertamina. Dari penelitian ini, didapatkan hasil bahwa penggunaan media digital sebagai media pengerjaan tugas lebih murah dibanding kertas serta penggunaan kertas sudah mulai dikurangi di Universitas Pertamina.

Abstract

This research is aimed to maximize Universitas Pertamina’s (UP) eco-friendly efforts and change this relatively new university’s way of operation to be more eco-friendly and could rival the eco-friendliness of other instances by comparing the eco-friendly efforts of UP with University of Wisconsin–River Falls (UWRF) which is famous for their eco-friendly technology implementations. This Research is done by doing document analysis to acquire information regarding UWRF, as well as observation and interview to acquire information regarding UP. The comparison will visualize the good and bad sides as well as what can be improved of UP’s eco-friendly contributions. Abstract

Jahe merupakan komoditas rempah-rempah yang melimpah di Indonesia tetapi memiliki nilai ekonomi yang relatif rendah. Mengubahnya menjadi minyak atsiri merupakan salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan nilai ekonomis jahe. Dalam penelitian ini, minyak atsiri jahe diperoleh dengan menggunakan n-heksana dan etil asetat sebagai pelarut dan menggunakan beberapa metode ekstraksi. Terdapat dua metode ekstraksi yang digunakan yaitu distilasi uap dan distilasi sederhana. Hasil terbaik dari minyak atsiri jahe yang diperoleh melalui distilasi uap dan distilasi sederhana dengan n-heksana sebagai pelarut secara berurutan adalah 1,13% dan 0,86% untuk ekstraksi 6 jam. Berdasarkan analisis spektrum FTIR minyak atsiri yang diperoleh dari kedua metode ekstraksi menggunakan n-heksana sebagai pelarut memiliki kesamaan yang tinggi dengan minyak atsiri komersial. Analisis lebih lanjut menggunakan GC-MS menunjukkan bahwa komponen utama minyak atsiri yang diperoleh dari jahe adalah citral dan β-citral (neral). Uji tarik mengungkapkan bahwa produksi kertas dari limbah jahe memiliki kekuatan menengah namun elastisitas yang rendah. Selain itu, penelitian ini menunjukkan kemampuan biodegradasi humus yang baik.

Abstract

Sediment transport study can be done by 3D numerical modeling for hydrodynamic and sediment transport simulation. In this study, 3D numerical modeling is calibrated by observation data, such as surface elevation and current speed. Hydrodynamic and sediment transport in estuary of Weriagar River is simulated for 31 days. Hydrodynamic simulation result shows that hydrodynamic in Weriagar River is dominated by river discharge while tide dominates the hydrodynamic in the estuary. Current speed is increasing during spring tide but current flows faster during ebb because the river discharge also flows to the estuary. Vertical profile indicates that current speed decreases as the elevation gets deeper. This condition is caused by bed resistance near the bed. Sediment transport simulation result shows bed level changes in Weriagar River. Maximum erosion occurs about 20 cm near the river bend with bed level change rate 0,02 m/day. Maximum erosion occurs in this location because the flow pattern and current speed increases at ebb condition. At the estuary, the erosion occurs with small intensity. This happens because longshore current from sea is entering the river mouth but is blocked by more dominate river discharge. Current speed affects suspended sediment concentration and bed level change rate

Abstract

Indonesia’s Soekarno-Hatta Airport has been putting efforts to provide a better service to airline passengers. However, due to some problems, Soekarno-Hatta Airport's on-time performance has recorded a drastic decline since the beginning of 2016 to early 2018. Therefore, this study aims to propose a strategy to improve Soekarno-Hatta Airport’s on-time performance using creative problem-solving approaches. The proposed strategy is designed based on secondary data collected from January 2016 to December 2018. This study evaluates the data using creative problem-solving approaches and uses Singapore’s Changi Airport as a benchmark airport. The root causes of improving on-time performance is identified using Kepner-Tregoe Problem Analysis, while the solution is designed using SCAMPER technique, Kepner-Tregoe Decision Analysis, Adverse Consequences table and Kepner-Tregoe Potential Problem Analysis. The result reveals several problem’s root causes which influence the low on-time performance in Soekarno-Hatta Airport such as: less integrated baggage handling system, longer passenger loading process due to long queue at check-in gates, high number of arriving delay caused by late departure from origin port, and unpredictable weather. The proposed solution for these problems is improving the baggage handling system in Soekarno-Hatta Airport using the latest conveyor technology. By implementing this solution, it is expected that the on-time performance in Soekarno-Hatta Airport will increase and reach the same level as Changi Airport’s.

Abstract

Various efforts have been made to increase oil reserves in the upstream oil and gas industry. One of them is by exploring the thin oil reservoir layer, also known as the reservoir oil rim. The reservoir oil rim can act as a hydrocarbon container that provides alternative reserves to be developed with outputs increasing the value of oil production. In developing a new reservoir oil rim in a field, the selection of reservoir oil rim depletion strategies needs to be supported by technical justification in the form of screening methods and appropriate strategies based on best practices and lessons learned from global reference fields that have developed reservoir oil rim. The right strategy is expected to be able to provide a production effect in the form of significant recovery factor output. It is expected that the concept of developing the reservoir oil rim can be a new innovation in the exploration of alternative oil reserves in the upstream petroleum industry.

Abstract

A simulation-based study was conducted to model the transient phenomenon of heat transfer on Latent Heat Thermal Energy Storage (LH-TES) annular type with Phase Change Material (PCM) on the inner side and uses water as Heat Transfer Fluid (HTF) circulating on the outer side. A computational fluid dynamics model is developed to observe that phenomenon and validated with experimental data. The model is used to analyze the effect of geometry on improving LH-TES performances. An enthalpy-porosity formulation is adopted to model the melting process of the PCM. Geometry variation was done by enlarging the diameter of the pipe used both inside and outside. A value obtained by comparing the enthalpy value of fully melted PCM with the time take to reach that phase is used to quantify the performance of LH-TES. The result shows that the diameter enlargement of the inner pipe does increase LH-TES heat transfer performance up to 7.74%, while diameter enlargement of the outer pipe does decrease LH-TES heat transfer performance up to 1.04%. Abstract

Pengukuran volume bahan bakar disuatu statiun pengisian bahan bakar dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode dipping manual dan sensor Automatic Tank Gauge (ATG). Metode dipping digunakan untuk mengkalibrasi keakuratan hasil pengukuran dengan menggunakan metode ATG. Akan tetapi, dibeberapa keadaan dijumpai hasil pengukuran level dipping berbeda dengan hasil level ATG, bahkan sejak instalasi awal. Pada keadaan seperti ini diambil tindakan penyesuaian sensor ATG (ATG Adjusting) sebagai bagian dari standar pos pelaksanaan pemeriksaan fisik persediaan produk hidrokarbon. Namun demikian, hasil pengukuran sensor ATG baik sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan ATG Adjusting dapat digunakan untuk menghitung volume bahan bakar apabila selisih antara hasil pengukuran level dipping dan level ATG konsisten dalam batas |25 mm| =|2.5 mm|. Paper ini mengevaluasi perbedaan hasil pengukuran level dipping dan level ATG yang terjadi di beberapa lokasi stasiun pengisian bahan bakar yang dimiliki dan dioperasikan oleh PT. Pertamina Retail. Observasi dilakukan terhadap 58 sampel SO dan 572 populasi SO. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistika t-test menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pengukuran level dipping dan level ATG pada kedua data tersebut, baik pada pengukuran di waktu yang sama maupun waktu, maupun pada pengukuran dari waktu ke waktu.

Abstract

Watuijo Prospect is located in Panggunguni Village, Tulungagung district, East Java Province, Indonesia. The alteration rock, as a lithocap, is associated with stockwork veinlet which is filling by pyrite, malachite and azurite. The aim of this research is to characterize mineralization type using field data that analyzed by petrography, XRD, and fluid inclusion methods. The geology of research area was consist of sandstone and limestone as a wall rock that intruded by dacite as a host rock.. The hydrothermal alteration can be identified as phyllic alteration, argillic alteration and also advanced argillic alteration. Ore mineralization is characterized by disseminated sulphides such as pyrite, chalcopyrite, magnetite, bornite, sphalerite, covelite, and digenite with veinlet type are A type, AB type, and D type. Hydrothermal fluid of Watuijo Prospect is typified by high temperature (~385 to >400oC) and high salinity (46 to 52 wt.% NaCl). It shows that the type of the deposit is Cu-Au mineralization of porphyry system.

Abstract

Remote sensing based lithological mapping is commonly applied in the field of earth science as it requires less resource in contrast with real field work. Limitation regarding low accuracy is a challenge that should be tackled in applying remote-sensing based classification. In this paper, an attempt to improve overall accuracy of image classification using randomisation and categorical coincidence analysis was performed. It yielded final majority classification map which has higher overall accuracy compared to the overall accuracy of the population average and the overall accuracy of the map created by including all training data.
