Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to describe the form of simulations performed by characters and consumptive values in the novel Katak Hendak Jadi Lembu. In this study, descriptive qualitative literature is used. The data for the study came from the novel Katak Hendak Jadi Lembu. In addition, the data was analyzed discursively, with the text serving as a research source. The first focus’s research findings revealed seven forms of simulation through work, marriage, banquets, sitting on the floor, social class, salary, and yes. The second focus’ concerned the consumptive value of eating as a service, the consumptive value of gold nib for images, and the consumptive value of auctioned goods as images.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk simulasi yang dilakukan tokoh dan nilai-nilai konsumtif dalam novel Katak Hendak Jadi Lembu. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif yang berjenis kepustakaan. Data penelitian bersumber dari novel Katak Hendak Jadi Lembu. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan pedekatan diskursif yaitu menjadikan teks sebagai sumber penelitian. Hasil penelitian untuk fokus pertama menemukan tujuh bentuk simulasi melalui pekerjaan, pernikahan, jamuan makan, duduk di lantai, kelas sosial, gaji, dan iya. Temuan untuk fokus kedua terkait dengan nilai konsumtif makanmakan sebagai jasa, nilai konsumtif tangkai pena emas sebagai citraan, dan nilai konsumtif barang lelang sebagai citraan.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to identify affixation errors in Thai students’ narrative essays. The study is a qualitative descriptive study, with the data source being narrative essays written by Thai students. The participants in this study were 22 Thai students from Unisda Lamongan. Data were collected and analyzed for four months, May to July of 2018. Data were collected using documentation, listening, and note-taking techniques with the data corpus sheet instrument. Data were analyzed using Ellis and Sridhar’s language error analysis steps, which included (1) collecting error samples, (2) identifying errors, (3) explaining errors, (4) classifying errors, (5) evaluating errors, and (6) concluding the error analysis results. The source triangulation technique had used to determine the data’s validity by comparing and re-examining the degree of confidence of the data. The results showed 109 affixation errors with 2% errors in determining the original form, 27% errors in assimilating and preserving phonemes, 68% errors in removing affixes, 3% errors in choosing morphs, and 1% errors in selecting affixes. According to the findings of this study, each language has unique characteristics that set it apart from others. These differences frequently result in language learning difficulties and language errors. AbstrakTujuan umum penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kesalahan afiksasi dalam karangan narasi mahasiswa Thailand. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data berupa karangan narasi mahasiswa Thailand. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 22 mahasiswa Thailand di Unisda Lamongan. Data dikumpulkan dan dianalisis selama empat bulan: April—Juli 2018. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik dokumentasi, teknik simak, dan teknik catat dengan instrumen lembar korpus data. Data dianalisis dengan langkah-langkah kerja analisis kesalahan berbahasa Ellis dan Sridhar yang meliputi (1) mengumpulkan sampel kesalahan, (2) mengidentifikasi kesalahan, (3) menjelaskan kesalahan, (4) mengklasifikasi kesalahan, (5) mengevaluasi kesalahan dan (6) menyimpulkan hasil analisis kesalahan. Dalam menentukan keabsahan data digunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dengan cara membanding-bandingkan dan memeriksa kembali derajat kepercayaan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 109 kesalahan afiksasi dengan perincian sebagai berikut: 2% kesalahan penentuan bentuk asal, 27% kesalahan peluluhan dan pengekalan fonem, 68% kesalahan pelesapan afiks, 3% kesalahan pemilihan morf, dan 1% kesalahan pemilihan afiks. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah setiap bahasa memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda dengan bahasa lain.Perbedaan ini sering menimbulkan kesulitan belajar bahasa dan kesalahan bahasa.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to develop the prototype of Indonesian language teaching material for the aspect of speaking skills by adopting the local culture and determine the level of stakeholder acceptance of the developed teaching material. This study was conducted using a research and development approach. The research samples were gathered using a purposive sampling technique. The data were obtained through the following stages: a focus group discussion (FGD) on the prototype of teaching material, evaluation of the prototype by expert judgment, limited and large-scale tryouts; and the stakeholder acceptance of teaching material. Data analysis was performed using a t-test by comparing the outcomes of learning using the developed learning material and the outcomes of learning using the provided material (compulsory book). The results of this study have depicted that the outcomes of teaching material prototype development are evaluated in terms of content feasibility, presentation feasibility, and linguistic feasibility. Evaluation on the stakeholder acceptance has revealed that the developed teaching material in the form of a calendar appears to be more effective than the teaching material in the form of a compulsory book. A calendar increases students’ interest and comfort while also teaching them to be more self-directed in their learning. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan prototipe bahan ajar bahasa Indonesia (aspek keterampilan berbicara) dengan mengadopsi budaya lokal dan untuk mengetahui keberterimaan stakeholders atas bahan ajar hasil pengembangan. Metode penelitian melalui pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan. Teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu focus group discussion (FGD) protipe bahan ajar, evaluasi prototipe oleh expertjudgement, uji coba terbatas dan uji coba lebih luas, keberterimaan stakeholders bahan ajar. Teknik analisis data melalui uji t-test dengan membandingkan hasil pembelajaran melalui produk hasil pengembangan dengan produk yang sudah digunakan (buku paket). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa hasil pengembangan prototipe bahan ajar berupa aspek kelayakan isi, kelayakan penyajian, dan kelayakan kebahasaan. Keberterimaan stakeholders menunjukkan bahan ajar berbentuk kalender lebih efektif (produk hasil pengembangan) dibandingkan dengan bahan ajar yang berbentuk buku paket. Bahan ajar kalender membawa siswa lebih tertarik, lebih nyaman, dan melatih siswa untuk mandiri.

Abstract

 Along with the high attention and publications on entrepreneurship in various fields, it is often found that consumers/producers of scientific/non-scientific publications in the field of entrepreneurship have difficulty to understand of various word formations that come from the basic word: ‘entrepreneur’. One of the problems that arise is understanding the various formations of the word 'entrepreneur+suffix' in English. With this into account, this article aims to explore the diversity of word formations: 'entrepreneur+suffix’ in scientific publications. For this reason, a systematic mapping study (SMS) on two electronic databases was carried out. The mapping results identified 91 formations of the word 'entrepreneur+suffix' which have been recorded historically since 1859. The map of various word formations 'entrepreneur+suffix' recommends that consumers/producers of scientific/non-scientific entrapreneurship publications must be extra careful in translating and understanding them AbstrakSeiring dengan tingginya perhatian dan publikasi pada entrepreneurship di berbagai bidang, sering ditemui konsumen/produsen publikasi ilmiah/non ilmiah di bidang entrepreneurship mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami aneka bentukan kata yang berasal dari kata dasar: ‘entrepreneur’. Salah satu permasalahan yang muncul adalah memahami aneka bentukan kata ‘entrepreneur+sufiks’ dalam Bahasa Inggris. Mempertimbangkan hal tersebut, artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi keanekaragaman bentukan kata: ‘entrepreneur+sufiks pada publikasi ilmiah. Untuk itu, studi pemetaan sistematis (systematic mapping study/SMS) pada dua basis data elektronik dilakukan. Hasil pemetaan teridentifikasi 91 bentukan kata ‘entrepreneur+sufiks’ yang secara historis terdata sejak tahun 1859. Peta aneka bentukan kata ‘entrepreneur+sufiks’ merekomendasikan agar para konsumen/produsen publikasi entrapreneurship ilmiah/non ilmiah harus ekstra hati-hati dalam menerjemahkan dan memahaminya.

Abstract

AbstractThe availability of fables text teaching materials that contain local wisdom is still limited. This study aims to provide alternative teaching materials as character education by utilizing learning technology. This research is development research conducted from January to June 2020 in junior high schools (SMP) in Regency of Indramayu, Cirebon and city. The researched through the stages of analyzing the needs of teaching materials with character education, collecting, selecting, and analyzing fable texts from the student’s cultural environment and students’ psychological development. Data collected through interviews, observation, and document analysis. The validity of the data is done through expert judgment. Data were analyzed using this analysis. The results showed that fable texts containing local wisdom could be used as character education. The visual presentation of teaching materials is more attractive and effective in improving character education for students. AbstrakKetersediaan bahan ajar teks fabel yang bermuatan kearifan lokal masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberi alternatif bahan ajar pendidikan karakter dengan memanfaatkan teknologi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang dilakukan pada bulan Januari sampai Juni 2020 di SMP se-Kabupaten Indramayu, Kota Cirebon, dan Kabupaten Cirebon. Penelitian dilakukan secara bertahap dengan menganalisis kebutuhan bahan ajar yang bermuatan pendidikan karakter, mengumpulkan, menyeleksi, dan menganalisis teks fabel dari lingkungan budaya siswa dan yang sesuai dengan perkembangan psikologis siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan cara penilaian pakar. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teks fabel yang bermuatan kearifan lokal dapat digunakan sebagai pendidikan karakter. Penyajian bahan ajar secara visual lebih menarik dan efektif dalam meningkatkan fungsi pendidikan karakter kepada siswa.

Abstract

AbstractThis study examines the difference between the meaning of Indonesian and Malaysian. The data gathered for analysis will be used to determine the level of understanding of the various meanings of Indonesian and Malaysian vocabulary that have the same form but different meanings as well as meaning differences between Indonesian and Malaysian vocabulary that have different forms but have the same meaning. The methodologyused in this study was design an analysis of the different meanings of Indonesian and Malaysian, wich were from a survey distributed to 141 respondents via Google Form. The purpose of this study was to a betterunderstanding of differences in word usage between Indonesian and Malaysian. According to the findings of this study, researcher will produce data on the level off understanding of the different meanings of Indonesianand Malaysian as well as differences in word usage in Indonesian and Malaysian. The level of understanding of respondents related to this study was 78 percent understanding of the correct classification of meanings intoIndonesian vocabulary and 69.6 percent for a good understanding of the correct classification of meanings into to Malaysian vocabulary. In this study, respondents, had a level of understanding of 99 percent for a good understanding of meaning classification into Indonesian vocabulary and 98.7 percent for a good understanding of meaning classifications into the correct Malaysian vocabulary.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the lexicons found in the traditional house of the Rejang tribe and its parts, as well as the traditional food in terms of ethnolinguistic. This is a qualitative study. Data were collected through the observation method, with basic techniques in the form of tapping techniques, with advanced techniques in the form of competent free listening and note-taking techniques. An extra lingual matching technique was combined with the comparison relationship reduction technique to analyze the data. The analysis results were presented in an informal manner using informal techniques. The results of the analysis showed that the lexicon of Rejang traditional food and houses consisted of monomorphemic and polymorphemic forms or phrases. The monomorphemic forms of the houses were berendo, dopoa, ga-ang, geligei, kemdan, ndea, pendukuan, penego, pemenyep, and teblayea. Bajik, benik, ganus, genos, kelicuk, lemea, lepeng, pendap, and pojoak were examples of traditional foods. Polymophemic forms for the house were balei ulu, bubung jamben, ga-ang panjang, gela ulau, kajang akap, pelakek bang, ruang menyambel, and umeak danea. Traditional foods included bagar hiu, be’em jelie, gulai bekasam, gulai kemba’ang, juwadek termanei, kan ten’num, lapen lude, lapen nacang, lapen sekojo, lapen sepoak, lapen upie, lepek binti, lepuk mateak; lepek puteak, plang a’oi, rebung asam udang liling, rebung smawea, etc.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan leksikon-leksikon yang terdapat pada rumah tradisional suku Rejang dan bagian-bagiannya, serta makanan tradisionalnya ditinjau secara etnolinguistik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui metode simak, dengan teknik dasar berupa teknik sadap, dengan teknik lanjutan berupa teknik simak bebas libat cakap, dan teknik catat. Untuk menganalisis data digunakan teknik padan ekstralingual dengan teknik redusi hubung-banding. Untuk menyajikan hasil analisis digunakan teknik informal. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa leksikon rumah dan makanan tradisional Rejang terdiri atas bentuk monomorfemis dan polimorfemis atau bentuk frasa. Bentuk monomorfemis rumah adat Rejang itu yakni berendo, dopoa, ga-ang, geligei, kemdan, ndea, pendukuan, penego, pemenyep, dan teblayeaa. Untuk makanan tradisional, yakni bajik, benik, ganus, genos; kelicuk, lemea, lepeng; pendap, pojoak. Bentuk polimorfemis untuk rumah adat yaitu balei ulu, bubung jamben, gaang panjang, gela ulau, kajang akap, pelakek bang, ruang menyambei, dan umeak danea. Untuk makanan tradisional yaitu bagar hiu, be’em jelie, gulai bekasam, gulai kemba’ang, juwadeak termanei, kan ten’num, lapen lude, lapen nacang, lapen sekojo, lapen sepoak , lapen upie, lepek binti, lepuk mateak; lepek puteak, plang a’oi, rebung asam udang liling, rebung smawea, dan lain-lain.

Abstract

AbstractLinguistic adaptation through language contact can create ethnic groups live in harmony. Similarly, the ethnic community in Parigi Moutong District, namely the Kaili ethnic as indigenous ethnic groups, coexists and harmonizes with ethnic immigrants, i.e., Buginese, Balinese, and Javanese ethnicities. This study aims to describe the form/pattern of linguistic adaptation through language contact that occurs in the Balinese, Buginese, Javanese, and Kaili ethnicities by bringing up the issue of interethnic language contact ini creating a harmonious life in Parigi Moutong Regency. The method used is a sociolinguistic approach by formulating a focus on examining the independence of linguistic adaptation through language contact and social adaptation. Data were collected using participatory observation methods, which involved being at the study site and observing the language behavior of the speech community as the object of research, followed by recording examples of language use. The findings show that ethnic groups, both indigenous and ethnic immigrants, such as Buginese, Javanese, and Balinese ethnicities, can adapt to create a harmonious life through language contact.ABSTRAK Adaptasi linguistik melalui kontak bahasa dapat menciptakan kehidupan yang harmoni antaretnik. Demikian halnya komunitas etnik  yang ada di Kabupaten Parigi Moutong yaitu etnik Kaili sebagai etnik pribumi hidup berdampingan dan harmoni dengan etnik pendatang yaitu etnik Bugis, etnik Bali, dan etnik Jawa. Dengan mengangkat kasus kontak bahasa antaretnik dalam menciptakan kehidupan yang harmoni di Kabupaten Parigi Moutong,  penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mendeskripsikan wujud/ pola adaptasi linguistik melalui kontak bahasa yang terjadi pada etnik Bali, Bugis, Jawa, dan Kaili. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan sosiolinguistik dengan merumuskan  fokus penelaahan  kesepdanan  antara adaptasi linguistik melalui kontak bahasa dengan adaptasi sosial. Pengumpulan menggunakan metode  pengamatan  partisipatif  yaitu berada di lokasi penelitian  dan mengamati  perilaku berbahasa  masyarakat tutur yang dijadikan objek  penelitian, kemudian merekam  contoh  penggunaan bahasa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa etnik baik etnik pribumi maupun etnik pendatang yaitu etnik Bugis, Jawa, dan Bali dapat beradaptasi melalui kontak bahasa untuk menciptakan kehidupan yang harmoni.

Abstract

The study aims to describe and locate the figures of speech and imagery associated with the regional locality. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research. The data in this study were words, phrases, sentences, or utterances that contain the figure of speech and imagery and their functions as localities. The data sources were taken from the glonggong novel trilogy consisting of Glonggong, Arumdalu, and Dasamuka by Junaedi Setiyono. The data collection technique used the listening and note-taking technique. The data analysis method in this study used the matching method with the basic models using the Determinant Element Sorting or Pilah Unsur Penentu (PUP) technique. The results found a figure of speech and imagery that locality (i) custom, (ii) tradition, (iii) regional language expressions, (iv) and culture.AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menemukan majas dan citraan yang dilekati oleh lokalitas kedaerahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah kata-kata, frasa, kalimat, atau tuturan-tuturan yang mengandung majas dan citraan serta fungsinya sebagai lokalitas. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini diambil dari trilogi novel Glonggong yang terdiri atas Glonggong, Arumdalu, dan Dasamuka karya Junaedi Setiyono. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak dan catat. Metode analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode padan dengan teknik dasar menggunakan teknik Pilah Unsur Penentu (PUP). Hasil dari penelitian ini menemukan majas dan citraan yang merepresentasikan lokalitas (i) kebiasaan, (ii) tradisi, (iii) ungkapan berbahasa daerah, (iv) dan kebudayaan.

Abstract

AbstractInclusive education is education designed to develop and direct the potential of children with special needs to have confidence as social beings, one of which is language communication skills training. Children with special needs frequently struggle to control their use of language, both receptive and productive processes. Therefore, teachers or assistants for children with special needs must understand the appropriate learning design to maximize their students’ language potential. This study aims to describe language learning strategies that teachers of children with special needs can use to create an inclusive teaching pattern, mainly to maximize the language potential of children with special needs. The research was conducted at SLB Negeri Keleyan Bangkalan using descriptive qualitative methods, with primary and secondary data sources gathered through interviews and direct observation. This study discovered some learning patterns that teachers should be aware of, especially when managing language learning for children with hearing, vision, and cognitive disabilities.Pendidikan inklusi merupakan pendidikan yang dirancang secara spesifik untuk mengembangkan dan mengarahkan potensi anak berkebutuhan khusus agar memiliki kepercayaan diri dalam memenuhi kebutuhannya sebagai makhluk sosial, salah satunya melatih kemampuan komunikasi berbahasa. Anak berkebutuhan khusus cenderung memiliki kesulitan mengontrol penggunaan bahasa, baik proses reseptif maupun produktifnya. Oleh karena itu, guru atau pendamping anak berkebutuhan khusus perlu mengetahui desain pembelajaran yang tepat agar potensi berbahasa peserta didiknya dapat dilatih secara maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sebuah gambaran desain pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan oleh pengajar anak berkebutuhan khusus  dalam menciptakan sebuah pola pengajaran inklusi khususnya dalam rangka memaksimalkan potensi berbahasa anak berkebutuhan khusus. Penelitian dilakukan pada SLB Negeri Keleyan Bangkalan, Madura dengan menggunakan sumber data primer dan sekunder yang didapatkan dengan melakukan teknik wawancara dan observasi secara langsung. Melalui tulisan ini diharapkan guru ataupun pendamping belajar bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus dapat memiliki satu gambaran untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajarannya secara signifikan.
