Abstract

This research was motivated by the low cursive writing skills of class II students at SDN 81 Pinrang, Pinrang Regency. This study aims to describe the application of the guided writing method in improving the cursive writing skills of class II students at SDN 81 Pinrang. This type of research is PTK. The research subjects were teachers and grade II students at SDN 81 Pinrang with a total of 24 students consisting of 11 boys and 13 girls. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests and documentation. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative approach. The results showed that the teacher's teaching activities and student learning activities in the first cycle were in the sufficient category and in the second cycle they were in the good category. The results of students' cursive writing skills in cycle I were categorized as incomplete and in cycle II students' cursive writing skills were categorized as complete. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the guided writing method can improve the cursive writing skills of class II students at SDN 81 Pinrang.

Abstract

The research aimed at knowing, analyzing, and explicitly describing the reading skills of elementary school students, especially in reading Sundanese text entitled Kuya Ngagandong Imahna. Data collection through oral reading test and observation. Referring to the acquisition of oral reading test scores, the reading skills of the students can be said to be quite fluent in reading Sundanese fairy tales entitled Kuya Ngagandong Imahna. The end result is that students are able to identify letters correctly, pronounce words fairly accurately, read fluently and answer questions about the content of the reading correctly.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the active learning of students through the medium of snakes and ladders in science subjects. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive research. The source of the research data came from fourth grade students at SDN Sarirejo. The data used in this study are the results of observations, interviews, and documentation of fourth grade students related to students' active learning problems. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative. Based on the findings of the research results, the following conclusions can be drawn. Based on the results of the research on the activeness of students using snakes and ladders media in science subjects, the average activity of students in class IV A was 72.7%, so it was included in the good criteria. Students tend to be interested in following the learning process. In this case, the teacher acts as a facilitator for students. Students who are active in the game of snakes and ladders can find their own concept of the material being studied. Because the media in the game of snakes and ladders is combined with group discussions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the STEAM learning model to improving the skills of elementary school students in the city of Yogyakarta. This study uses a narrative method with interview techniques. The research subject was a class IV teacher at MI Wahid Hasyim Yogyakarta. The results of the study show that the application of the STEAM learning model can be used to improve literacy skills at the elementary school level. This literacy skill is important to have to help with critical thinking, creative thinking, being able to solveĀ problems, and having good communication skills. This STEAM learning model also provides an atmosphere that is in accordance with real life in the learning activities carried out, making it easier for students to reason and be active while in the classroom. The application of the STEAM model is carried out with planning that is adjusted to the curriculum and characteristics of students; in practice, each topic is discussed according to the science component of the STEAM model, and the assessment is carried out in accordance with STEAM learning objectives, namely making learning more meaningful by collaborating material with real life.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop Microsoft PowerPoint-based flash card media for reading aloud skills of second grade students in elementary schools that met valid and feasible criteria. In this study using the Research and Development (R&D) method of the ADDIE model which consists of five steps namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation with descriptive data analysis techniques. The media validation results reached 97% in the "very feasible" category. The results of the material validation reached 100% in the "very feasible" category. In field trials through questionnaires the teacher's response reached 100% in the "very feasible" category and in the student response questionnaire it achieved a percentage value of 98% in the "very feasible" category. Based on the percentage results, it was concluded that flash card media based on microsoft powerpoint is suitable for use by Grade II SD students. Suggestions that can be conveyed are that it is expected that teachers can use flash card media based on Microsoft PowerPoint on reading aloud skills in Indonesian language content as an alternative in teaching.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the role of parents and student learning outcomes as well as the influence of the role of parents on the learning outcomes of 4th grade elementary school students in Laringgi Village, Soppeng Regency. The independent variable in this study is the role of parents, while the dependent variable is learning outcomes. The study population was all 4th grade elementary school students in the village of Laringgi, Soppeng Regency, totaling 34 people, and 34 people became samples using the total sampling technique. Research data was obtained by distributing questionnaires on the role of parents and learning outcomes data obtained through class teachers. The analysis technique uses simple linear regression and significance test. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis it is known that the role of parents is classified as good with a percentage of 52.9%, and student learning outcomes are classified as good with a percentage of 47.1%. From the results of inferential analysis, the sig. 0.000 <0.05 or H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted which means the role of parents has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to find out what factors hinder students from having difficulty with beginning reading and solutions to overcome the problems of students with initial reading difficulties in grade 1B of SD Negeri Sampangan 02. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. Collecting data in this study is by observation method using guiding indicators to determine the difficulty of beginning reading, interviews, and documentation. The instrument used was a non-test instrument in the form of a questionnaire regarding initial reading difficulties. After the researcher received the data, the data was analyzed using the Milles and Huberman model. The results of this study show 1. the causative factors of early reading difficulties are lazy learning, lack of interest and motivation to learn, power, students get bored easily, lack of parental guidance and attention to education. 2. The solution for beginning reading difficulties is that the teacher provides additional hours for students learning to read beginning, paying special attention to students who have difficulty reading beginning, parental concern for their child's education, the teacher must be creative when guiding students learning to read beginning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the Discovery learning learning model on student learning outcomes in class V UPTD SD Negeri 28 Parepare. This research is a research that uses a quantitative approach to the type of experimental research and the design used is a non-equivalent control group design and a quasi-experimental form. The type of sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total sample of 40 students. The outcome data in this study are the results of the pretest and posttest. Data analysis techniques are descriptive data analysis and inferential data analysis. The results of descriptive statistiks were obtained from student learning outcomes in the matter of changes in the shape of objects. The results of the analysis using the independent sample t-test showed that the tested value was less than 0.05, namely 0.042 <0.05. Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 or 0.042 < 0.05, which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that the Discovery learning learning model has an effect on student learning outcomes on material changes in the form of objects class V UPTD SD Negeri 28 Parepare.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research which are to determine the process of applying the problem based learning model to about material heat transfer in Class V and to determine the improvement of learning achievement in science subjects about heat transfer by applying the problem based learning model. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests, and documentation. The research subjects were class teachers and students, totaling 21 students and 1 teacher. The research was carried out in two cycles. In the first cycle the research results on the learning process were in good qualification (B) and the learning test results were in sufficient qualification (C). While in the second cycle the research results on the learning process were in good qualification and (B) the results of the learning and learning test were in good qualification (B). The conclusion of this research is that the application of problem based learning (pbl) model on heat transfer material can improve the learning process and learning outcomes of students in class V UPTD SD Negeri 77 Parepare.

Abstract

This study aims to find out what is the role of parents in shaping the character of students at SD Negeri 197 Rea Malempo, Mallawa District, Maros Regency, and to find out the teacher's role in developing the character of students at SD Negeri 198 Rea Malempo, Mallawa District, Maros Regency. The type of research used is field research that explores information that has one independent variable and one dependent variable. The independent variable is the parent and teacher variable and the dependent variable is developing student character in students. The population and research sample were fifth grade students at SD Negeri 197 Rea Malempo, consisting of 5, 5 parents and 8 teachers. Instruments and data collection are observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Data analysis, data collection, data reduction, data presentation, verification and drawing conclusions, accuracy of checking data requirements. The research results obtained are: The role of the teacher is also very important in developing the character of students at SD Negeri 197 Rea Malempo because the teacher is someone who is imitated and as a student educator in the school environment.
