Abstract

TherResearch to determine the effect of the existence of soil termite nests (Macrotermes gilvus) on the growth of rubber plants is carried out in smallholder rubber gardens which are managed with local wisdom, naturally without using chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The area of rubber plantations studied was around 2 ha. In the rubber garden soil, many soil termite nests were found which identified M. gilvus species. The parameters of the study were stem circumference, which was measured using a tape meter at a tree height of 125cm from the ground surface, while the percentage of rubber tree canopy cover was measured using the Line Intercept tape method. Data analysis used the Mann-Whitney test. Samples of rubber trees with termite nests are the closest trees to the location of termite nests, while trees without termite nests are rubber trees which at a minimum radius of 3 m are not found termite nests. Organic garden management without pesticides allows termites to be present and nest in the garden. The existence of soil termites M. gilvus (Hagen) lodged in rubber plantation land has caused changes in physico-chemical characteristics / soil fertility, this is evident from the differences in the growth of stem circumference and better canopy cover on rubber plants that grow near termite nests compared to growing on soil without termite nests. Keywords: Macrotermes gilvus, rubber gardens, growth, stem circumference, termite nests

PENGEMBANGAN INSTRUMEN PENILAIAN PSIKOMOTOR UNTUK MATERI MEKANISME TRANSPOR PADA MEMBRAN SEL DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS Shinta Dwi Kurnia1, Djunaidah Zen2 dan Siti Huzaifah2 1. Dosen Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya Jln Raya Palembang-Inderalaya Km 32, Inderalaya Ogan Ilir Sumatera Selatan   ABSTRAK Penelitian pengembangan telah dilakukan dengan tujuan menghasilkan instrumen penilaian yang digunakan untuk menilai aspek psikomotor siswa pada materi mekanisme transpor membran sel. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Research and Development Borg dan Gall dengan langkah-langkah pengembangan meliputi tahap pendahuluan, tahap pengembangan dan tahap evaluasi. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik dokumentasi, wawancara, catatan validator, observasi dan angket. Data yang dianalisa adalah data catatan validator, kepraktisan dan keterampilan siswa. Validasi instrumen penilaian dilakukan oleh 2 orang ahli, yaitu ahli materi dan ahli evaluasi. Instrumen penilaian dinyatakan valid dengan nilai 3 dan 2,71 dan dinyatakan praktis dengan nilai 2,75 dan 2,5. Hasil penelitian pengembangan ini menunjukkan sudah terpenuhinya syarat-syarat instrumen penilaian yang baik, yaitu validitas, objektivitas, praktikabilitas dan ekonomis. Kata Kunci : Pengembangan, Instrumen penilaian, dan Psikomotor   ABSTRACT The Development research has been conducted with the aim of making the assessment instrument used to assess aspects of students psychomotor on material of cells membrane transport mechanism. The method was used the method of Research and Development the Borg and Gall with development measures include preliminary stages, stage of development and evaluation stage. The data was collected with the documentation technique, interviews, records, observation and questionnaire. The data is analyzed with the note of validator, practicality and the skills of the students. The validation of the assessment instruments was carried out by two experts, i.e. expert material and expert evaluation. The assessment instrument is declared valid with value 3 and 2,71, practical expressed with value  2.75 and 2.5. The results of development research shows already satisfy the terms of a good assessment instruments, namely the validity, objectivity, can be in practise and economical. Abstract

Abstract: Semarang State University (UNNES) developed curriculum of competence and conservation based. The developing of UNNES 2012 curriculum gave signs for study program to develop its curriculum. Learning equipments of each courses were need to be updated and appropriate with curriculum demand. On 2013 it has developed biology microteaching lesson book based competence and conservation character which was validated by expert, also it was stated proper use. The objective of this research was to describe the effectiveness of biology microteaching book based competence and conservation character application on developing personal competence and professional biology teacher candidate. It was pre-experimental design research by using the one-shot case study plan. It was held to biology microteaching course participant on even semester year 2013/2014. The sample of this research was 46 people. The collected data included book read data, personal and professional teacher competence data. The research result showed that the read book based on colleges gain good and very good criteria. The application of biology microteaching lesson book based competence and conservation character helped the development of teacher candidate personal competence with 82 and 87 percentage or good and very good criteria, while professional teacher competence with 86 and 88 percentage or very good criteria. The conclusion of this research is microteaching lesson book based competence and conservation character has good and very good read also effective on developing biology teacher candidate personal and professional competence. Abstract

The purpose of the research was improveability to predictthrough interactive demonstration learning of graders XI which includes 32 students. The research was a classroom action research that refer to Kemmis and Mc Tggart model (2005). The research was performed within two cycles which consists of planning, acting, observation, and reflection stage. Action in the research used interactive demonstration learning. Theresearch data includes assessment result of ability to predict. Ability to predict was assessed by essay test and observation of ability to predict.The validity of data used technique of triangulation method. The research data was analyzed by qualitative descriptive.Known from Pre-Cycle results that students’s ability to predict was 32,18%. Indicator of the success of action was improvement of students’s ability to predictin Cycle II. Results of the research showed that ability to predict improved 66,41%in Cycle II. The improvement of students’s ability to predictwas facilitated by interactive demonstration model.Conclusion of the research was showed that student’s ability to predict and curiosity improved 66,41%through interactive demonstration learning. Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to develop courseware for teaching animal physiology in the material of the respiratory system. Designs in this study refers to research and the development of education (R&D). The procedure of work done in this study design is limited only at the stage of product development to product prototype courseware produced in the material of the respiratory system is ready to be validated by a team of experts (expert judgment) and tested. Therefore, the results obtained and the development presented in this study are: a) The results of the preparation of the program flowchart. Flowchart showed a flowchart depicting the course of learning programs that will be conducted from the beginning to the end of the program; b) Storyboard in the material of the respiratory system. Storyboard contains an overview of learning materials developed with the correct specification. Storyboard developed grounded to the flowchart that have been prepared; and c) Prototype product. In the courseware product in the form of presentation of the information displayed through animation, simulation, still images as well as through text descriptions. Presentation of diverse information was intended to facilitate diversity in terms of interests, learning styles, each of the students, which is expected to meet learning needs.   Keys Word: Courseware, Respiratory System, Animal Physiology

Abstract

Abstract: A research on the types of Basidiomycota in Area Air Terjun Curug Embun Pagaralam city. The method used is descriptive and sampling conducted with technique cruising. The results showed that in the area there are 20 species distributed into 18 genera, 12 tribes. Types have been found is Polyporus aurcularia, Pycnoporus sanguineus, Earliella scabrosa, Ttrametes elegans, Ganoderma tropicum, Lentinus sajor-caju, Lenzites sp, Lenzites elegans, Mycena chlorohos, Mycena stroobilinoides, Auricularia auricular, Coprinus disseminates, Stereum astrea, Thelophora vialis, Hygrocybe parayensis, Coprrinellus micaceaus, Cyptotrama asprata, Lepiota sp, Clavulina cinerea, Lactarius piperatus.Information on the results of this study can be an alternative example of contextual learning in teaching high school biology class X on the competence of 3.6 Applying Basic Principles for Classifying Mushroom Classification by Characteristics and Reproductive way through thorough and systematic observation. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to find out information about the effect of applying 7E Learning Cycle Model with LKPD on the student's concepts understanding in class XI SMAN 1 Indralaya. This research used quasi-experimental method with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The data collection of concept comprehension tests was done in class XI IPA 1 as an experimental group and class XI IPA 4 as the control group. The sampling technique was done with random sampling technique. Results of hypothesis testing data analysis using SPSS application obtained t-calculated of 4,031 while t-table at a significance level of 5% with 63 df is 2.00. The results of this study showed that t-calculated > t-table is 4,031 > 2.00. T-test showed that there were significant differences from the second sample at the 95% confidence level. The average value of student's concept understanding in the experimental group was higher than the control group. This was proven by the average value and standard deviation of the test understanding of concepts acquired in the experimental group amounted to 78,64 ± 9,62, while the control group was 65,78 ± 15,35, so Ho is rejected, which means that there were significant implementation of 7E Learning Cycle Model with LKPD to student’s concept understanding of human circulation system topic in XI class of SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya.Keywords : Concept, 7E Learning Cycle Model, LKPD, Human Circulation System

Abstract

Abstrak: Penulisan makalah ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi bahwa penerapan LS dapat meningkatkan profesional dosen dan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah PH di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Unsri. Jenis metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, karena melaporkan hasil observasi dan evaluasi terhadap pelaksanaan PBM pada mata kuliah PH di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Unsri. Pada pelaksanaannya berkolaborasi dengan dosen – dosen Pendidikan MIPA, khususnya Pendidikan Biologi, yaitu pada saat plan, do dan see. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dosen pengasuh mata kuliah PH dan mahasiswa semester V tahun ajaran 2011/2012 kelas Indralaya dengan jumlah 37 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1. Pengamatan LS terakhir seluruh kegiatan PBM yang difokuskan pada pemahaman konsep oleh mahasiswa sudah baik. Artinya sudah terjadi peningkatan PBM menjadi lebih baik, peningkatan kompetensi padegogik dosen model seperti perbaikan perangkat pembelajaran, ppt, LKM, dan bahan ajar serta menemukan langkah pembelajaran yang tepat. 2. Terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada LS pertama, kedua dan  ketiga masing – masing sebesar 45,67, 65,12 dan 77,00 dan terjadi ketuntasan belajar mahasiswa, yaitu lebih dari 85 % mendapat skor di atas 56.   Kata Kunci: Lesson Study, Dosen Profesional, Hasil Belajar dan Perkembangan Hewan

Abstract

Abstract:Had done research on the types of aquatic macrophytes in retention ponds around the industry PT Semen Baturaja OKU which can be used as scientific basic data to conservation and improvement of environmental quality. The research method that has been done exploratory and descriptive method, with sampling using exploration technic. The results showed 4 types of macrophytes found in the waters of an retention pond I PTSB OKU classified into 4 parts which family Poaceae, Cyperaceae, Convolvulaceae and Gentianaceae comprising each one kind. Then also found 17 species of macrophytes waters retention pond II PTSB OKU. The macrophytes classified into 11 parts which family Cyperaceae consists of 4 types, Poaceae 2 types, Pontederiaceae 2 types, Araceae 2 types, and comprising each one kindButomaceae, Hydrocharitaceae, Ceratophyllaceae, Polygonaceae, Gentianaceae, Convolvulaceae and Onagraceae. The results of this research expected to be a contribution biology learning for second semester of 2nd grade senior high school on the basic competence 3.7 which described the characteristics divisio of world plants and its role for the survival of the earth in the form of making herbarium, preserved wet, booklets and Worksheet Students. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai pengaruh model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (Higher Order Thinking Skills) peserta didik pada materi sistem percernaan kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penentuan sampel penelitian menggunakan Simple Random Samping, didapatkan sampel penelitian yaitu kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes berupa soal pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunujukkan nilai rata-rata tes akhir kelas eksperimen sebesar 72,43 sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 62,34. Berdasarkan uji statistik menggunakan SPSS uji Mann-Whitney, nilai probabilitas (signifikansi) sebesar 0,000 maka hipotesis H0 ditolak sehingga model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) peserta didik pada materi sistem percernaan kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Raja.Kata kunci : Jigsaw, Keterampilan Berpikir Tinggi, Sistem Pencernaan.
