Jurnal Sendratasik diterbitkan 4 (empat) kali pada bulan S Maret, Juni, September, dan December denganmemuat artikel / artikel penelitian di bidang musik, tari, dan drama serta pembelajarannya. Memuat teks yang dihasilkan oleh kelompok penyunting, naskah yang digunakan adalah naskah yang lolos dan tidak pernah / tidak akan pindah ke jurnal lain. Jurnal Sendratasik menerima naskah yang memberikan wawasan tentang isu-isu terkini, dan terutama berhubungan dengan studi Seni Pertunjukan dan Pembelajarannya(Seni Drama, Tari dan Musik) dengan menyebar luaskan pengetahuan di bidang-bidang yang muncul dan berkembang. Hasil riset, terdiri dari laporan ilmiah yang meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang seni secara umum, seni pertunjukan, dan pendidikan seni. Baik dalam bentuk artikel yang melaporkan hasil studi penelitian kuantitatif atau kualitatif. Artikel secara konseptual harus relevan untuk memajukan Seni Pertunjukan dan Pembelajarannya, menyajikan teori tentang seni, model, posisi filosofis, dll. Artikel juga dapat mengacu pada teori-teori ataupun materi- materi yang dikembangkan dalam praktik dan pendidikan seni pertunjukan. Bahasa naskah yang dikirimkan dalam bahasa Indonesia. Harus membahas tentang masalah serta kontribusi baru yang signifikan untuk bidang praktik dan pendidikan seni pertunjukan. Artikel dapat berasal dari salah satu bidang berikut: - Drama - Tari - Musik dan / atau Musik Tradisional - dan Pembelajarannya

Abstract

Abstract This article aims to reveal and explain the function of Kelik Lang dance in a traditional wedding ceremony in Pulau Temiang village especially in Tebo Ulu regency. The types of this research are qualitative and descriptive method. The data collected by a literature study, observation, interviews, photo shoot and documentation. The analysis of the data based on the conceptual framework. The result of the research showed that Kelik Lang dance always use in traditional wedding ceremony especially in “Belarak” event before the bride and groom enter the bridge house.  The function of Kelik Lang dance are (1) as a media of marriage ceremony (2) as an entertainment and recreational for citizen (3) as an idea or ritual in marriage process (4) as a media to express feeling of soul. Abstract

Abstract This article was aimed at describing the movement structure of Tupai Jonjang dance in Kanagarian Lumpo Kecamatan Empat Jurai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. This was a qualitive research that used descriptive method. The object of the research was Tupai Jonjang dance. The data was collected through observation, interview and documentation. In analyzing the data, the researcher analyzed the structure of the hierarchical relationship. The  result of the research revealed that (1) the structure of the basic element relationship in Tupai Jonjang dance movement consisted of the combination of the movement of head, body, hand and legs. All of these movements formed a motive. (2) the structure of hierarchical relationship consisted of 28 motive, 12 pharases, 5 sentences and a group. The structure of the paradigmatic relationship was the most dominant among others on the level of motive, pharase and sentence.   Kata kunci: struktur, gerak, tari Tupai Jonjang, deskripsi.

Abstract

Abstract This thesis is aimed at raising the existence of Sampelong into a new form of work. It is because nowadays people are not really appreciative toward the traditional music, like Sampelong.In this musical work “Godang Onjak”, the writer wants to show that traditional music is not a monotonous music, but traditional music can be developed with different generated patterns and merged with other modern musical instruments. So, traditional music especially Logu sampelong art can be more attractive and acceptable to the public, especially the young generation. Thus, the traditional music will be more interesting and preserved by the next generation.   Kata kunci : komposisi, Godang Onjak, Kesenian,Sampelong.

Abstract

Abstract This article explained about the dance title ‘’ Not Hear but see ‘’ as anew creation telling a about group of people born as normal creatures and the other born with hearing impairment. The existence of those msde the one with lacks had low self-esteem, and feit sad. This dance was a kind of dramatic dances which was presented symbolically. It is also considered as conteporer dance. The problem potrayed in the dance was that human being was not a perfect creature, in which each of them had their own strengths and weaknesses. The ending of this explained that the deaf people and the common ones could have a mutual understanding and lived together by dismissing the social gaps between them and be grateful for the life they had. Abstract

Abstract This research was aimed at revealing the students’ interest toward music throught observing their extracurricular activities in music at SMP Negeri 8 Padang. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The result of the research indicated that before the part-time teacher paid, the student had no interest in music, instead they joined some musical activities out of the school. However, after the part-time teacher worked with them and the program was organized, the students started to show their passion on music. Shortly, the students’ interest was likely to rise as the goal and the target of an activity were defined clearly.   Keyword : Interest, music, extracurricular activities, descriptive, qualitative.

Abstract

Abstract This article aims to describe the development of the Gumantan dance type in Pisang Berebus Village Gunung Toar Rengency, Kuantan Singingi District, Riau Province. Type of the research is qualitative with descriptive analysis method. The techniques of data collection are literature study, observation, interviews, photo shoot and recording. The technique of the data analysis is to classifying the data based on the conceptual framework.  The result showed that: the development of Gumantan dance influenced by citizen in that area. The purpose of the citizen in that area is to the make Gumantan dance still exist so that Lukman Edi created Rentak Gumantan dance. The developments of that dance can we see from the part of elements. Those elements are movements, space design, music dance, costumes, the dance dynamics and composition group.   Kata kunci: Perkembangan, Bentuk, dari, tari, Gumantan

Abstract

Abstract The research described how the society of Anding appreciated the performance of organ tunggal rather than tradisional arts in order to celebrate their wedding. To consider the phenomenon more, the research was based on the appreciation theory given by Aminudin 2000:34, that appreciate was derived from latin word apreciatio which means appreciating. Abstract

Abstract This article aimed at determining students’ motivation in learning dancing at SMP Negeri 2 Padang. This research focused on factors which caused students’ low motivation to follow the dance lesson at SMP Negeri 2 Padang. The design of this research was the descriptive qualitative reseach. The object of the research was students’ motivation in learning dancing at SMP Negeri 2 Padang. The data were obtained from observation, interview, and literature review. The information was gotten from the art teachers  as well as students of SMP Negeri 2 Padang. The primary instrument in is research was the researcher herself while the secondary instruments were observation notes, recordings, and videos. The data were analyzed by using the phenomenology technigue. Based on the data analysis, it was found that students’ low motivation was due to the intrinsic and extrinsic factors from within themselves supported by the teachers’ performances such as the learning method and media used which could not improve students’ motivation.   Keywords: Learning Dancing, Students’ Low Motivation

Abstract

Abstract This research was aimed at revealing and documenting the presentation of Silek Galombang in Nagari Pagaruyung Kecamatan Tanjung Emas Kabupaten Tanah Datar which was performed in welcoming the official guests. This was a qualitative research which used descriptive method. In collecting the data, the researcher observed the process of welcoming the guests in Istano Silinduang Bulan Pagaruyung. Silek Galombang is a kind of arts performances which applies self-defense (silat) arts movements performed by 8 men mastering silek and 2 men carrying carano. The performance was preceded by kata sambah and batagua accompanied by some musical instruments including calenang, gandang, bansi and sarunai. The costumes worn by anak silek were baju taluak balango, celana guntiang ampek hitam, deta batik hitam and sesampiang. The men bringing the carano wore black and blue taluak balango suit and red sesampiang. Silek Galombang was performed in a group with rampak simultan and straight-line floor pattern. This was done in a field which was closed by delivering batagua words and sowing beras kuning.   Kata kunci : Silek Galombang, laki-laki, carano, kata sambah, bataguah

Abstract

Abstract   This research describes the endowment process of “Tale Haji” in the society of Desa Koto MajidinKecamatan Air Hangat Kabupaten Kerinci. The design of this research was the qualitative research by using the descriptive approach. The data were collected from literature reviews, observation, interview, and documentations. The data collected were then classified and analyzed by separating the primary data from the secondary. The findings of this research showed that the endowment process of “Tale Haji” was done in two forms of educations; the informal and the non formal. In the informal, the endowment process was done through families and the environment. Meanwhile, the non formal was done through an institution called as “Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat” (PKBM) Koto Majidin. Kata Kunci: Tale Haji, Proses Pewarisan, Koto Majidin.
