Jurnal Sendratasik diterbitkan 4 (empat) kali pada bulan S Maret, Juni, September, dan December denganmemuat artikel / artikel penelitian di bidang musik, tari, dan drama serta pembelajarannya. Memuat teks yang dihasilkan oleh kelompok penyunting, naskah yang digunakan adalah naskah yang lolos dan tidak pernah / tidak akan pindah ke jurnal lain. Jurnal Sendratasik menerima naskah yang memberikan wawasan tentang isu-isu terkini, dan terutama berhubungan dengan studi Seni Pertunjukan dan Pembelajarannya(Seni Drama, Tari dan Musik) dengan menyebar luaskan pengetahuan di bidang-bidang yang muncul dan berkembang. Hasil riset, terdiri dari laporan ilmiah yang meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang seni secara umum, seni pertunjukan, dan pendidikan seni. Baik dalam bentuk artikel yang melaporkan hasil studi penelitian kuantitatif atau kualitatif. Artikel secara konseptual harus relevan untuk memajukan Seni Pertunjukan dan Pembelajarannya, menyajikan teori tentang seni, model, posisi filosofis, dll. Artikel juga dapat mengacu pada teori-teori ataupun materi- materi yang dikembangkan dalam praktik dan pendidikan seni pertunjukan. Bahasa naskah yang dikirimkan dalam bahasa Indonesia. Harus membahas tentang masalah serta kontribusi baru yang signifikan untuk bidang praktik dan pendidikan seni pertunjukan. Artikel dapat berasal dari salah satu bidang berikut: - Drama - Tari - Musik dan / atau Musik Tradisional - dan Pembelajarannya

Abstract

Abstract   The artwork Gita Dua Budaya was inspired by the life journey of its composer that was born in the family which has two different cultures. They are Minangkabau and Mandailing existed among modern and heterogenic society. This musical artwork was aimed at : (1) combining two traditional arts,  Minangkabau traditional art and Mandailing traditional art, that were generated from the traditional instruments of each culture and added by modern instruments. (2) raising love toward the traditional art of Minangkabau and Mandailing particularly for the young generations. (3) encouraging to do further study on traditional artworks in the archipelago. (4) Motivating the students of Drama, Dance and Music to find the positive experiences in improving the ability and the quality of playing music.   Kata kunci : Budaya, Kesenian, Mandailing, Minangkabau, Musik Tradisonal.

Abstract

Abstract This article aims at explaining and describing a dance artwork entitled Endong Balapak. This dance was derived from a tradition dance “Randai Salapan” in the area Gunuang Padang Panjang. This Randai Salapan dance uses large trousers and the trousers are beaten by hand, resulting in a unique sound. These trousers are called galambuak or galembong and also often called as Endong. On the other, Balapak, is the sound effect produced by Randai players when they beat their Endong. The Endong Balapak dance is an actualization of dancers’ aesthetic play in techniques and richness of motive in playing sound and movement in beating Endong. Thus, the aesthetic value appears intrinsically from Endong Balapak dance. The sources reproduction is Randai Salapan, with the object traditional artwork, and the type of dance is pure with non representative performance.   Keywords: Endong Balapak, Randai Salapan and Creative Dance

Abstract

Abstract This article was written to describe the used of the group work to improve student’s learning outcomes in the musical art subject at grade VIII7 SMP Negeri 2 Batusangkar. Group work learning approach has a very important role in growing maturity and improve children's ability to master the material whatever they want through learning together to achieve maximum learning. Based on the result of the experiment, it was found that the average score of experimental group was higher than the average score of control group. Based on a t-test, it was obtained that tcounted > tTable, which means that there is a significant difference of learning outcomes between the students who learn by using group work learning approach and conventional  technique in the subjects of Musical Arts at SMP Negeri 2 Batusangkar. This significant difference between the score of learning outcomes of the two classes, the data show that group work learning approach gives positive effect toward learning outcomes at level of confidence 95%. Abstract

Abstract The music arrangement of Talago Biru was inspired by (1) the melody of accompaniment music in dance performance and as an instructional material in the Dendang course. The purpose of this artwork is (2) to clarify that the musical arrangement is a new model of music arrangement based the writer’s ability and to add more value of an artwork without eliminating the main idea or the core of Talago Biru Music arrangement. The form presented in this artwork is (3) the combination of traditional music (dendang) with western musical styles that have been tied to the bars pattern without eliminating the typical character of dendang   Kata kunci : Model garapan baru, Musik Tradisonal, Musik Modern.

Abstract

Abstract   This research discussed about the function of traditional art, Rabanea, in the wedding party in Nagari Sarik Alahan Tigo, Sub-district Hiliran Gumanti, Solok Regency. The topic was chosen because the researcher wanted to get description about the function of Rabanea in Nagari Sarik Alahan Tigo used in wedding party. It was a qualitative research with a descriptive analysis method. The data were collected through library studies, observation, interview, recording and photography. The rabanea is presented by using rabanea musical instruments as the accompaniment of poems in barzanji book and  four rhyme poetry in Minangkabaunese. Rabanea is used in traditional ceremony and religious matters, for example, in wedding ceremony. The use of rabanea is arranged by niniak mamak nan balimo (the five of traditional leaders) who stay in Nagari Sarik Alahan Tigo. Viewing the role of rabanea especially in wedding party, it can be concluded that the functions of Rabanea are as communication tool, entertainment, cultural inheritance, social and religious institution establishement, and the function related to spiritual and economical income.   Keyword:  Function, rabanea, wedding party

Abstract

Abstract The music arragement of the Langkisau song for school music ensembles was inspired by (1) the Langkisau song as one of Minang phenomenal pop songs, that tells about people's habit on the hill of Langkisau (Minang people) who like to wander. (2) It demands the students to be able to play the Langkisau song music arrangement in form of a school music ensemble. Abstract

Abstract There are types and variation of musical arts, one of them is traditional musical instrument Talempong Pacik which still exists in the pageant of wedding ceremony in Nagari Koto Anau. Talempong pacik is a type of percussion musical instrument which belongs to the traditional ensemble music of Minangkabau. This study is aimed at describing and finding the functions of Talempong pacik in the bridal pageant in the wedding ceremony. This is a qualitative research by using descriptive methods, describing the phenomena among the variables of data in form of words or images. The object of this research is Talempong Pacik musical instruments performed in the wedding ceremony. This research analyzes the functions of these instruments in the pageant procession of wedding ceremony in Nagari Koto Anau. Talempong Pacik in the pageant functions as (1) a means of entertainment for the community in terms of entertainment which gives specific meanings and messages in Minangkabau view. (2) a means of communication and information in the weeding procession in Nagari Koto Anau. This music is able to convey the message about the activity being performed and the message can be understood by the people who watched and listened to. Abstract

Abstract   This Research aims at describing the presentation of Talempong Sikatuntuang in Bararak alek anak daro and marapulai (bride and groom procession) in Subdistrict of Padang Alai of East Payakumbuh. This qualitative research used descriptive method in the research analysis. The Talempong Sikatuntuang in wedding ceremony is performed in form pageant which is played in ensemble music. The performance only presents talempong which is played in the time of  anak daro and marapulai (bride and groom) and the family of his father start the parade from the bride’s house to the groom’s house. Sikatuntuang is also played in the time of both the bride and groom arrive at the groom’s house.   Key word : Talempong Sikatuntuang, Pesta Perkawinan, Kualitatif.

Abstract

Abstract   The purpose of this research is to describe the function of Tanduak dance in Bakawuah ceremony in Nagari Latang Sub-district Lubuak Tarok, Sijunjung regency. This is descriptive qualitative research. Technique of data collection were library research, observation, interview, and documentation. Technique data analysis after collecting data were analyzed accurately and selected based the needs and problems. The research found that the function of Tanduak dance in Bakawuah ceremony in Nagari Latang, Sub-district Lubuak Tarok, Sijunjung regency is as entertainment. Abstract

Abstract The idea in this artwork was started from the expression of feeling which is channeled into expression. Then, this expression was expressed into musical compositions that is interpreted in tones of melody, harmony, and rhythm that is composed into musical expression of feeling. This artwork was created by implementing some artwork methodologies; they were exploration, document analysis, experiment, and formation phase. This musical composition was also done in 3 parts of composition, namely Part A, Part B, and Part C. The Part A shows a calm expression in happiness. Then, Part B brings “conflicts or problems" atmosphere expressed in grief, worry, full of anger emotion. In Part C the music is composed as the expression of the spirit that was so tempestuous. Music can be expressed by an artist or any one through various media, such as voice in song, musical instrument in the instrumentalia, or voice and musical instruments in the vocal-instrumental. Meanwhile, the actualization or the expression of ideas in a musical artwork can be expressed in a musical composition. Kata kunci: Ekspresi, Tahap, Komposisi
