Abstrak The purpose of this study was to determine the shape, placement and meaning carving motifs used in Bagas Godang Huta district Godang Mandailing Natal. The data source is data collected using interviews and documentation. The findings of the study. (1) sun carving placed above the entrance Bagas Godang meaning as enlightening the people, (2) carving ulok (snake) placed in front of the statue of the music room Bagas Godang, (3) engraving podang (sword) was placed on the wall of the music room terrace Bagas Godang, meaning truth and power of the king, (4) pit carved nihorbo (buffalo head, placed on the wall of the music room terrace Bagas Godang, (5) carving siadop-adop (face to face) is placed on a slab patio Godang meaning Bagas protect each other, (6) carving pusuk nirobung (shoots shoots) were placed on a slab patio Bagas Godang, meaning custom Dalihan natolu, (7) carving shrimp placed on a slab patio Botik Bagas Godang, meaning the king's relationship with the community is very closely. Abstract This research is proposed to describe: (1) Describing the placement of motif which is implemented to the songket balapak and songket batabua. (2) Describing repetition technique which is used in songket balapak and songket batabua. (3) Describing structure material which is used in songket balapak and songket batabua. The data of this research was collected from each area, Pandai Sikek and Silungkang. The resource of this research is from the data documentation from the informant. The technique of data collection of this research was from focused interview and documentation. Research findings are, first, motif placement on Songket Balapak and Batabua is located into three parts, head, body and edge. Second, repetition technique that is done on both Songket is horizontal and vertical pattern repetition. Third, both of Songket use golden line, yet Songket Pandai Singkek use more golden line. Kata Kunci: Songket, Balapak, Batabua, Silungkang dan Pandai Sikek

Abstract Search of self identity is something that very important in our lives: about who we are what we life3 for, and the purpose of life it self. The purpose of this final work is (1) as container to implement the skill and painting skills are displayed in the form of the final work (2) provide insight in addressing the conditions of feelings and problems that is experienced. This final work is the form of paintings that show realism and surrealis style. Realization of this work is the result of contemplation observation then visualized into line, clour and shape of the object that desired, so creating a work as an expression and out povring of the heart to wards the problem that occurred. Abstract The aim of this final project is to explore the face expression and visualize some kind those ekspression in the sureal way. Face expression is the way to express the feeling, everything that you felt in your heart will be reflect automatically in your face. The view of face exploratian will be shown in the painting with the title : 1), “Eksplorasi” 2), “Bomb Waktu” 3), “Meleleh” 4), “Clown” 5), “Ganti topeng” 6), “Histeris” 7), “Bosan” 8), “Uuugghhh…” 9), “Terbuai Dalam Hijau” dan 10), “Solusi”. Further more, the writter will give priority to snapshot about face expression of human such as, anger, smile, cry, affraid, pain, and camouflage the feeling and it will show in sureal painting with confront the expression way and explore the possibility of thing without remove the real characteristic of face expression. Abstract Songket is a kind of weave fabric handicraft. It is made from yarn, cotton, silk and others. The technique to make it is by putting the weft horizontally to the loom, the row of vertical yarns. The quality of songket usually value from material quality, the arranging of color, the theme and pattern of decorated and the variety of tema.The design of this research is qualitative research that using descriptive method. The data that had been collected are include words, picture and not nominal. This research is held by interviews method, observation and documentation through photography.Based on the finding from the research it can be concluded that songket weaving from balapaktanjuangsungayanghave many differences from other weaving fabrics, especially in tema, color, work technic and the material. ABSTRACT Protest women against gender inequality began to emerge. This is evident from women is behavior in everyday life, ranging from the mindset, how to dress, and determine the way of life they want to pass. For example, at this time women have started to compete for equal position with men as the party office, legislators, and even the president. Creating the works of art aim to demonstrate the role of women in the profession in terms of painting, visualize profession women equal to men in paintings, to visualize the behavior of women who do not distinguish gender in paintings. For example, in using the form on the symbol, either object or figure women themselves, the authors attempt to make it simpler.

Abstract Problems are often found in education, especially embroidery is poor learning outcomes and student work. The purpose of this study to determine how learning strategies embroidery class XI in SMK N 8 Padang. The theory used in this study is consistent with theories delivery of content strategy, organization and management of learning. This research is a qualitative research method description. Data obtained on delivery strategy learning materials, learning organization, learning and management in the data exposure was done by teachers and students. Based on data analysis, and data validity checker, strategy presentation, organizing strategies and learning management strategies have been implemented by the teacher, but not maximized so that the learning outcomes and student work was not optimal Keywords: strategy, learning, embroidery.
