Abstract

Character education is one very important aspect is developed in school. The development of character education has become a national agenda and should be integrated into the curriculum. Based on the beginning observations of the teachers of State Elementary School 17 Panyakalan District of Kubung indicated the ability of teachers to implement character education is still low. This phenomenon is closely linked to the suspected teachers who still lack understanding about concepts of character education, how to integrate character values ​​into the curriculum has not been mastered, as well as the assessment and follow-up has not been understood. This research is a school action aimed to reveal one of the techniques that can be used to improve the ability of teachers to apply character education. The technique that used is the technique of group supervision. namely: providing guidance to the teacher in groups. Researchers conducted a guidance to teachers in small groups and teachers collaborate and cooperate. Hypothesis actions proposed in this study is to use the technique of group supervision can improve the ability of teachers to apply character education at State Elementary School 17 Panyakalan District of Kubung. School action research subjects are all teachers civil servants and non-civil servants State Elementary School 17 Panyakalan District of Kubung are a total of 11 people. The procedure of research consisted of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Cycle performed in this study as much as two cycles. Each cycle carried out 2 times a supervision activities. Data were obtained from observations and the work in the form of a syllabus and lesson plans and then analyzed. School action research analysis results indicate that there is an increase in the ability of teachers to implement character education In addition, the teachers showed a positive attitude and high motivation to implement character education in the schools. The result of this research showed that ability of teachers are increase in applying the character education at State Elementary School 17 Panyakalan District of lemur can be done by using the group supervision. The conclusion of this study showed an increased ability of teachers to implement character education at State Elementary School 17 Panyakalan District of lemur through the technique of group supervision. This is evidenced by the increased activity of students while studying in cycle 1 and cycle 2.

Abstract

Pendidikan yang dilakukan di negara kita adalah untuk membentuk suatu kepribadian yang luhur, menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai agama dan moral, dan memiliki sikap kreatif dan mandiri yang mampu menunjukkan kekhasan dari budaya bangsa kita Indonesia. Kepribadian yang luhur itulah yang dimaksudkan dengan pendidikan karakter. Karakter adalah seperangkat sifat-sifat yang dikagumi sebagai tanda-tanda kebijakan, kebaikan dan kematangan moral”, artinya seseorang yang memiliki karakter yang baik akan selalu berprilaku baik, menyenangkan, bersikap bijaksana dalam mengambil suatu keputusan yang dibutuhkan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Pendidikan karakter dimulai dari pendidikan anak usia dini .Melalui strategi mendongeng legenda Ide cerita yang ditampilkan adalah cerita rakyat Minangkabau, yang dikisahkan di ”Bukik Batanjua Nagari Sungai Janiah kecamatan Baso, yaitu Legenda Ikan Sakti”, yang mengisahkan tentang anak yang tidak mendengar nasehat orang tua, dan tidak mengabaikan perintah Allah akhirnya berakibat fatal, sehingga si anak berubah menjadi Ikan di Sungai Sungai Janiah Baso, digunakan untuk pembelajaran karakter anak usia dini. Melalui penelitian action recearh dengan menggunakan media boneka, pembelajaran karakter dilakukan sehingga dapat di implementasikan pendidikan karakter dalam rangka meningkatkan kecerdasan ganda anak usia dini yang berkarakter.

Abstract

The study of integration of character education in Junior Secondary School Nurul Ikhlas Tanah Datar, West Sumatra is a joint research with the approach of a combination of quantitative and qualitative, aims to understand the efforts undertaken by the leadership of the boarding school and the principal to integrate character education or character values that are universal to the school management processes. Among the character values uniquely invested in modern boarding school Nurul Ikhlas are: Deepening Religious Sciences, the mole, Compliance, Modeling, Piety, Independence, Discipline, Simplicity, Tolerance, feel enough, Humility, Fortitude, Solidarity, Sincerity, Cling to religion, Society, Cleanliness. The seventeenth character is jointly invested well for students to learn at school and when students receive education from boarding schools, to teachers and other education personnel. The uniqueness of Junior Secondary Boarding School Nurul Ikhlas in integrating character education into the educational process so as to produce quality graduates, an attraction for parents and prospective students to study at the boarding school. This concern which contribute optimally to support both leaders and the head of the boarding school so that the educational process can be managed optimally. This suggests the process of character education is not only optimal in boarding schools, but also in regular schools, both public and private that currently require it.

Abstract

The study was inspired by the low of work commitments of the principal in public secondary school at the cities in West Sumatera.The purpose is to determine the organizational culture and incentives as prediction factors work's commitments of the principal. Methodology Mixed methods research approach, in the form of embedded concurrent design or a combination of uneven. Population's studies is the principle of public secondary schools in the cities in West Sumatra province, amounting to 150 people. A sample of 116 people that taken at random. The research instrument was a questionnaire and an interview guide. Data processing is performed by multiple regression analysis and thematic. Results of data processing research indicates that organizational culture and incentives either individually or collectively can be used as a factor forecasters to work commitments principals.

Abstract

This research about leadership role of headmaster and pedagogy competencies of teacher in SMK 2 Padang, and also to see the relationship between the two variables. Population are 72 teachers and 40 samples using proportional stratified random sampling technique. This research instrument is a questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale, a score of variable leadership role of headmaster 0.907 and pedagogy competencies of teacher 0.897 that means instrument is reliable. Data were analyzed using product moment correlation, get r score = 0.33 > = 0.284 believed r tabel standard 95%. Research has come to the conclusion that there are relationship between leadership role of headmaster with the pedagogy competencies of teacher in SMK Negeri 2 Padang.

Abstract

The increasing divorce cases in the Court Religion lately raises concerns among the public and the government, given that the family is the first institution that became the backbone of the nation's progress. The divorce will have a negative impact on economic, social and cultural partner, especially for couples who have children will be able to have a negative impact on the development of children.Divorce cases indicate that many couples enter marriage are less equipped with adequate preparation, especially skills in dealing with turmoil and conflict in the household, as well as poor communication skills of each partner. These symptoms also showed that pre-marital counseling conducted by the prince of the couples getting married during this considered not effective in order to equip the readiness of young couples to marry. Therefore, it is necessary efforts to better prepare couples to be married with the activities of guidance and pre-marital counseling. Guidance Services Group premarital can be used as an alternative is offered for the purpose of prevention of divorce among young couples.

Abstract

Description writing skills of students is low. They have not been able to describe objects clearly. An explanation of an object has not been systematic and often commute. In addition, there are temporary paragraphs consists of only one sentence. Sentences are used not been effective so elusive. This research is a classroom action research conducted two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Use of concept maps are proven to improve students' skills in writing a description. The results of student writing in the first cycle an average of 62 including categories enough, on the second cycle increased to 77, including both categories.

Abstract

Motivation and positive attitude in learning activities is the need to be owned by the student to be successful in achieving the learning objectives. This research aims to increase student motivation and positive attitude in lectures using cooperative learning and interaction varies, because reality shows there are still students who have a negative attitude in lectures. This study classified the action research, which was implemented in three cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action, evaluation and reflection. The subjects were students of BK Career period of 2012 totaling 37 people. The results showed that 97% of students expressed have increased motivation and a positive attitude in lectures.

Abstract

Based on the background of the problem so the researcher can make edification of the problem: the students are not active in study, so they think IPA subject is not interesting subject, and the teacher is the first information but the students are only listen it, to improve the students ability in IPA subject need give some competence for their, so it can become the students study IPA subject with active, creative and can study their environment. The method of Discovery is one of the method of learning can be used in IPA subject. In using this method the students are guldens by teacher in find the concept of the subject wish some ways; observation, identification and explanation the conclusion. This method have some technique, there is the problem that will be solved, explanation what class are they for example the students class five prepare the tool based on the students need in doing activities, thinking the citizen must be explanation to make the students self confidence. This research is done in semester two class five at SDN 02 Muara Panas, 2014/2015. This research divided two cycles, in this research the researcher has collaboration with other teacher as observation. At that time in the class the researcher as IPA teacher. With topic “Identification of the plane in photosynthesis” and other teacher as observer at that time. These researchers started with observation; that is observation of the IPA learning in class five at SDN 02 Muara Panas. This research has collaboration with other teacher as observer to using the method of discovery in IPA subject. Based on explanation and research evaluation in chapter four, the conclusion of the research: in order that IPA subject evaluation can improve needed good situation, ways and method of learning. To make the student study IPA subject with active, both imaginations, hearing and observing. On the students evaluation in using the method of Discovery in learning process is better than using the method of speech. At class five SDN 02 Muara Panas it can observe from the students evaluation as 6.16 before the research and after of the research the students evaluation as 8.95 in this PTK we can get the conclusion that using this method the teacher hope can guide the students and as facilitator of all students and can make the students active in the group.

Abstract

Based on the result of the daily tes in mathemathics lesson about multiplication that is in orderly arrangement indicated that the lesson is not success. Whereas, according to the teacher in daily lesson was explained orally and was given some examples, in fact it was given a lot of question for the student exercise, and also give a chance for the students to ask a question, however they not exploit that chance. The low of mastery of multiplication count ability on mathemathics lesson caused it is not right in model of learning and media that was used. So that, the students became not active in study of mathemathics, feel bored, and not listen what explained the teacher. Therefore, to improve multiplication count ability was needed the model of lerning with the right media. One of the model of learning is using the fingers of a hand. This research intends to increase multiplication count ability of the SDN 02 students Muara Panas, class four. The location of this research is in SDN 02 Muara Panas, Bukit Sundi subdistrict. There are 34 student in the class. The data of this research can be got from interview, question naire, obseevation action and evaluation. This research is implemented in two the stage:1) Arrange the lesson plan, 2) Action, 3)Observation, and 4)Analysis. The result of research indicated that adapt to the result of research observation in pre-action is the students that are not active, feel bored, and do not listen what explained the teacher very low in learning.
