Al Munir Journal of Islamic Communication and Broadcasting is open access and peer review of journals published by the Communication and Islamic Broadcasting Study Program of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences, Imam Bonjol Padang State Islamic University (UIN). This journal covers actual issues in Islamic communication studies, including the development of contemporary da'wah by utilizing media, Islamic information systems, rhetoric, literature, and government policies regarding broadcasting and information regulation. The purpose of this journal is to promote sharing of knowledge and understanding of communication issues. Then receive contributions from experts, researchers, practitioners and policy makers throughout the world. This journal is published periodically twice a year, precisely in January - June and July - December.

Abstract

In dakwah activity, there needs rules that agreed upon and binding in order to avoid obstacles in dakwah and the things that are not desirable. The rules are a code of ethics as a guide proselytizing da’i in dakwah. Code is written guidelines containing ethical norms that serve as guidelines to think, behave and act. Ethics codes are actually for dakwah,  so that dakwah activity can be done well and does not cause unrest and clashes between da’i and among the public. Ethics and codes of conduct in carrying out propaganda should be maintained and implemented by da’i in order to reach the goal of dakwah effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

This article explains how the cultural stereotypes of Muballigh Boarding School M. Natsir and community congregation in the tabligh in Lembah Gumanti District of Solok Regency. There is a difference in the practice of religious teaching for missionaries and the congregation / community due to differences in thinking and viewpoints in understanding religious teaching. This has been a hindrance for missionaries in delivering Islamic teachings in the Lembah Gumanti District. The method used is field research with a qualitative-descriptive approach, while the subject of this research is Muballigh Boarding School M. Natsir and community congregations in Lembah Gumanti District, Solok Regency. Data collection tools used for observation, interviews and documentary studies. The data is processed by the data selection step, data classification and analysis which is then summarized and described. The findings of the study revealed that there are differences in religious practices for Muballigh Boarding School. Hamka is in tune with the culture and culture of the community congregations, so most of the community congregations are less sympathetic to the community and less receptive to the tabloid messages delivered. The mosque community does not want to apply what Muballigh Boarding School M. Natsir, on the other hand, the communications built by the missionaries are less effective.

Abstract

The performance can be described as an assessment of the ability of an organization in achieving goals. Performance assessment can be used to measure the activities of a company or organization in the achievement of goals and also as material for future improvement. Performance can also mean job performance, achievements holding something. Organizational performance is a performance and implementation process in which organizational goals to be achieved. In the context of this assessment, the definition of performance is to see to what extent the achievements in the achievement of the performance of government agencies in achieving the goals set based on performance indicators. Thus, performance measurement is a useful tool in efforts to achieve the objectives, performance measurement can be done through the process of assessment of the achievement of objectives and performance measurement can provide an objective assessment in management decisions. Performance measurement can help to increase quality and lower costs arising from government activities

Abstract

Nowadays, tourism has been growing all over the world including Indonesia and it has contributed to the country's foreign exchange. Rationally, the tourism developing sector showed a very rapid progress. This development was characterized by an increase in the number of tourists and tourist arrivals were expected to continue increasing frequency. Various efforts made by the government to develop the tourism sector by involving all relevant elements including through communication. Activities carried out by the government through the communication was an attempt to influence others, the process was called the persuasive communication. It was meant in order the tourist destinations of the various could be known through media of information that would be credible, as well will motivate travelers to determine how to assess multiple objects to consider and decide when to buy something or choose a tourist destination in Tourist Destination Areas (TDA). Persuasive communication in tourism activities will be effective if the practitioner was able to influence aspects of psychological, sociological and cultural aspects of society.

Abstract

Some psychological factors that affect expectations when communicating with people from other cultures. These factors are the social cognitive and intergroup behavior, including culture shock, ethnocentrism, prejudice and stereotypes. According to experts, these factors can emerge and activation of which leads to problems of intercultural communication. Based on the ethnography of intercultural communication context, the picture of ethnic Minang as communicated by ethnic Javanese, or vice versa. In the context back to the village, into the tribe and the implementation of “Adat Basandi Syarak-Syarak Basandi Kitabullah”, as a variation of Islamic and local wisdom, suggesting that the cultural component is owned by every member of the culture affected the way we communicate.

Abstract

Islamic press in the growth and development can be seen in two forms, namely the press that sow Islam as Islam rubric, and the press that highlight Islam as breath, spirit, and commitment. Islamic conference that is shows the featuring Islam as rubric, usually intended as a means of propaganda. Islamic press is usually issued by Islamic institutions, such as community organizations, foundations, and institutions of Islamic education. While the Islamic press present Islam as breath, spirit, and commitment are managed by people who have a concern and commitment to the cause of Islam. Islamic press must be able to act as guardians of Islamic culture that is reliable, and able to become creators of culture in the professional intelligentsia

Abstract

Effective communication can be measured through five criterions, they are indicator of understanding, pleasure, influencing attitudes, social relations are getting better, and revealing to an action. Communication of Student’ Academic Advisory in giving explanations and guidance, gives consideration to students in selecting courses, providing guidance and advice that are intended to assist students in achieving the success of the study and in order to develop a scientific attitude and a good habit and also give warning to student’s low academic performance. It can be said to be quite good for the cause of understanding and it can be seen on the indicator of understanding. Furthermore, Academic Advisor in communicating the role can also be classified as a good indicator of pleasure, indicator of affected attitude, the indicator of social relationships, and revealing to an action

Abstract

This discourse aims to describe that crisis of public trust on government can be improved by government public relations management with consistency of all government officials to communicate or portray themselves as public servants and above the public interest, and can ultimately achieve prosperous society development. Public relations management has not been optimal, there has been no organized effort from each agency to communicate government policies which are the main tasks and functions that must be carried out. This happens because of several aspects such as; (1) the low position of public relations in an agency and public relations are not treated as an important part for the agency (echelonization which is not directly under the leadership of the agency); (2) the absence of a strategic design and implementation of public relations programs to help leaders make decisions; (3) the lack of human resources capable of implementing government public relations programs; (4) the behavior of government officials is incompatible with the program / policy set by the government itself.

Abstract

Strategi pembelajaran yang baik adalah strategi yang mampu mengkondisikan segala aspek perbedaan peserta didik baik yang menyangkut kecerdasan, perbedaan individu, latar belakang, kemampuan dan segala aspek yang ada pada anak didik. Dewasa ini di persekolahan kemampuan otak siswa kadang kurang diperhatikan padahal kemampuan otak manusia adalah tidak terbatas. Namun banyak orang yang tidak mampu mengolahnya sampai kepada penggunaan yang optimal, sehingga hasil yang dicapai juga kurang maksimal. Hal ini disebabkan karena strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran kurang merangsang kepada penggunaan otak secara keseluruhan.
