Abstract

This article seeks to understand and explain the importance of Islamic education in comparison to Western education through a detailed examination of the challenges and expectations as seen through the eyes of Muhammad Iqbal. The research method employs a review of the literature to identify previous sources of relevant articles and journals. In this article, the author adopts the viewpoint of Muhammad Iqbal, a modern Islamic philosopher, writer, and reformer, to examine the benefits and drawbacks of Islamic and Western education. The discussion revealed that there is a significant difference between Islamic education and Western education, particularly in terms of scope and source material used. According to Muhammad Iqbal, Western education produces people with general science intelligence, whereas Islamic education produces people with good character and behavior. A good education must strike a balance between physical and spiritual aspects. Education's goal is to prepare men for life. Islamic education should be taught from childhood to adulthood so that the education provided covers a wide range of scientific topics. In the West, empirical aspects of real-life experience place a greater emphasis on educational resources. Whereas in Islamic education, the source of the value of knowledge comes directly from the creator of the universe rather than from the creation of experts or the elite of society. Because education is an investment in a better future; therefore, the educational process must run smoothly.

Abstract

Research on gender segregation-based classroom management and its relation to student achievement at Mts Darullughah Wadda'wah is motivated by the assumption that gender-segregated classes in several schools with religious backgrounds are thought to reduce student achievement. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study design. This research concludes that the Gender Separation Management carried out at Mts Dalwa which is under the auspices of the Dalwa Islamic Boarding School is based on theological and psychological principles. In terms of theology, it is more about being careful so that there are no khtilats that have the potential to lead to wider immorality. Psychologically, the gender separation management at Mts Dalwa believes that men and women have slightly different learning potential. In general, men grow up in a competitive spirit while women thrive in an atmosphere of togetherness. Gender separation management in relation to student achievement also has a positive trend. This is proven by the quite good grades and the students' morals towards asatizah are also relatively good.

Evaluation also serves as a means to furnish students with feedback regarding their accomplishments, as well as the depth of their perspectives and knowledge acquired throughout the learning journey. Furthermore, philosophy plays a pivotal role in educating individuals to think critically, gain insights, and reason comprehensively, enabling them to approach events or problems from multiple angles and ultimately arrive at correct solutions.
