Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the constraints and problems faced by teachers in junior high school mathematics learning. The subjects in this study were mathematics teachers from ten junior high school level in Pidie Jaya district, amounting to 15 people with purposive sampling. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The research data was obtained from the results of MGMP activities (Subject Teacher Consultation) with two categories, namely material that was difficult to teach, and a difficult learning process for certain material. The results of the study show that some material that is difficult to teach is the sequence and series, congruence, statistics, algebra (rank in roots), geometry, opportunities, and equations and linear inequalities. For the learning process that is felt difficult for certain materials, namely Algebra (KPK, FPB and SPLDV), Series / pattern numbers, congruence, not actual rank, comparison, flat build, and statistics. Abstract

Drama is a form of literary work that has a part to be played by an actor, containing imitations of portraits of human life projected into a show. Playing drama is an activity to portray the characters in the story. In playing a drama, a player must be able to imagine the setting and actions of the actor and can use the voice in accordance with understanding of the feelings and thoughts of the actor. rotating roles is an active learning technique that provides opportunities for students to learn by practicing skills through characterization of characters or plays about certain situations in real life.This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. This research was carried out collaboratively between researchers and English teachers. The subject of this study was high school level students in Pidie district and the object of this research was the students' playing skills using the rotating roles technique. Data collection is obtained through observation, field notes, practice tests playing drama, and interviews. The instruments used are field notes, observation sheets, questionnaires, and assessment sheets. Data analysis was carried out with qualitative descriptive techniques supported by quantitative data. The validity of the data is obtained through validity, namely democratic validity, results validity, process validity and dialogic validity, to achieve data reliability by presenting original data from the research results, such as field notes and interview transcripts. Abstract

This study aims to determine "The Influence of Competence on Employee Performance at Puskesmas Darussalam District, Aceh Besar District". Where the independent variables are Knowledge (X1), Skills (X2), Behavior (X3) and Work Experience (X4) and Employee Performance (Y) as the dependent variable. Population in this research is employee Puskesman District Darussalam. Samples were taken as many as 97 samples using saturated sampling technique (census). Data were collected using questionnaires filled out by respondents. The data obtained were analyzed by multiple linear regression. This analysis includes Test Validity, Reliability Test, Multiple Regression Analysis Test Classic Assumption, Hypothesis Testing through F Test and t Test , and Determination Coefficient analysis (R2). Based on the results of the study, obtained Y = 1.581 + 0.268 X1 + 0.232 X2 + 0.232 X3 + 0.430 X4. Of the four variables studied, only the working experience variables (X4) has the most dominant effect of 0.430 to the Performance of employees at the Puskesmas Darussalam District, Aceh Besar District. The relationship of each Knowledge (X1), Skill (X2), Behavior (X3) and Work experience (X4) to the Performance of employees at Puskesmas Darussalam District, Aceh Besar Regency with correlation coefficient (R) of 0.961 means that the relationship is very strong. Fcount> Ftable at 95% confidence level (a = 0.05), that is 175.092> 2.47. Then the coefficient of determination of each variable Knowledge (X1), Skills (X2), Behavior (X3) and Work Experience (X4) of 0.924 or 92.4% to Employee Performance (Y) means the four variables simultaneously affect Employee Performance on Puskesmas Darussalam District, Aceh Besar District, only 7,6% influenced by other variable not examined in this research. Abstract

Payang is one of fishing gear commonly used by fisherman after lift net at Pelabuhan Perikanan Pantai (PPP) Carocok Tarusan of Pesisir Selatan District. This research aims to describe the catch unit of payang and analyze what factors affect production that produced by Payang. This research used census method by taking data of all Payang fishing gear at PPP Carocok Tarusan. The anlyze used as multiple linear regression and data processing entirely used statistical application SPSS version 22.0 with Enter method. Payang fishing gear at PPP Carocok Tarusan is operated by boat 5 GT and payang construction on left wing (left and right) is 20-25 meters, the net body is 10-20 meters, cod end as the spot for collecting fish catch has 5-8 meters, head rope and ground rope is 100 meters, and selambar strap for drawing fishing gear has 200 meters in lenght. Based on results processed with SPSS were obtained equation of multiple linear regression function on Payang fishing gear at PPP Carocok Tarusan as follow: Y = -58.747 + 11.625X1 + 4.707X2 - 13.244X3 - 1.644X4 + 5.915X5 + 23.693X6. Analysis of t-test showed that production factor of Payang fishing gear which has positive effect on the catch result are the length of trip on fishing (X1), the amount of fuel (X2), and setting (X6). Abstract

Academic procrastination was one of behavior of students who defer to the task. Academic procrastination was influenced by various factors among which are the locus of control and perfectionist. This study aimed to described: (1) locus of control of students SMAN 10 Padang, (2) perfectionist of students SMAN 10 Padang, (3) academic procrastination of students SMAN 10 Padang, (4) contribution locus of control toward academic procrastination students SMAN 10 Padang, (5) contribution of perfectionist towardacademic procrastination studentsSMAN 10Padang, (6) contribution locus of control and perfectionist toward academic procrastination students SMAN 10 Padang.This study used a quantitative approach with descriptive correlational method. The population in this research were students in grade X and XI of SMAN 10 Padang many as 571 students. Samples were obtained as many 235 students with using Proportional Stratified Random Sampling technique. The instruments of this research were the Inventory and Likert scale model. The data obtained were analyzed by using simple regression, and multiple regression.The research finding were: (1) locus of control in average were at internal category, (2) perfectionist in average were atmoderate category, (3) the academic procrastination in average were at moderate category, (4) the locus of control are contribution significant to academic procrastination by 21.3%, (5) the perfectionist contribution significant to academic procrastination by 11.7%, and (6) the locus of control and perfectionist in together contribute significant to the academic procrastination by 24.5%. The implication of this research may useful input to direct the Guidance and Counseling Teacher/Counselors to provide guidance and counseling services especially for personal and of study field. Abstract

The existence of government employees was a crucial thing in doing the government assignment and development within government organizations. In this case, the government needed professional, strong, responsible, friendly and impersonal employees through coaching conducted base on job and performance career system. Pidie District Education offices needed some steps in developing education was suitable with the job and performance system for realizing a good government employees. The development done was based on the 34th constitution, 12th subsection and 1st verse in 1999 about constitution amendment of the 8th in 1974 about the employees affair that sound was “the government employees management was encouraged to certify the government assignment and development efficiently”. Hence, it needed construction continuously from recruitment process became an employee until she/he became pension. It aims to certify the assignment continuously. The aim of the study was to describe and analyze the construction of the government employees on the Pidie District Education Offices and resistor and support factors in developing the government employees. The method of the study was qualitative research by conducting the prime and secondary data were larger. It covered the legal document issued by the government such as the government employee constitution and the expert opinion. Data collection conducted by doing library and documentation research. Data analysis was performed by descriptive analysis, those were: data reduction, display and conclusion/verification. From the research result could be concluded that the process of advancement of the government employees were to get structural position which were still have weaknesses in arranging constructing system or locating a structural position within government bureaucracy. Consequently, it needed firmness in arranging government employees lifting mechanism in structural position. Key Words: Employees, advancement

Abstract

Learning mathematics is not only aimed at developing mathematical cognitive abilities, but also for developing affective domains. One important aspect in the affective domain that is very influential and determines success in learning mathematics is the positive view of students on mathematics or in mathematics learning called mathematical disposition. A student who has a high disposition will be more persistent and resilient in facing mathematical problems that are more challenging and will be more responsible for their own learning and always develop good habits in mathematics. The problem posing approach which in the learning process requires students to ask questions and make their solutions is expected to be able to change students 'views of mathematics to be more positive, while also improving students' mathematical abilities. This study aims to examine the differences in the levels of mathematical disposition of junior high school students before and after learning through the problem posing approach. The type of research is experimental research with the design of one group pre-test post-test design. The population in this study were all VII grade students of Bandar Baru 1 Junior High School, with research samples of class VII2 students selected through random sampling techniques. The instrument used to obtain the research data was a mathematical disposition scale questionnaire sheet. The statistical test used to analyze data on differences in mathematical disposition of junior high school students before and after learning through the problem posing approach is paired t-test. The results showed that there were significant differences in the level of mathematical disposition of junior high school students before and after learning through the problem posing approach. This means that students' mathematical dispositions get better after they get a problem posing learning approach. Keywords: Mathematical Disposition, Problem Posing Approach

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research), yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan pada sebuah kelas untuk mengetahui akibat tindakan yang diterapkan pada suatu subjek penelitian di kelas tersebut. Pada awal penelitian tindakan menjadi salah satu model penelitian yang dilakukan pada bidang pekerjaan tertentu dimana peneliti melakukan pekerjaannya, baik dibidang pendidikan, kesehatan, maupun pengelola sumber daya manusia. Salah satu contoh pekerjaan utama dalam bidang pendidikan adalah mengajar di kelas. Dengan demikian yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah situasi di kelas, individu siswa, atau di sekolah. Dengan subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA 2 MAN 4 Pidie yang berjumlah 26 siswa. Pembatasan ruang lingkup ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan peneliti dalam mengumpulkan dan mengelola informasi dikarenakan ruang lingkupnya tidak terlalu luas, di samping itu dengan pembatasan subjek peneliti pada satu kelas, akan menghemat waktu yang peneliti gunakan. Berdasarkan hasil pegolahan data terlihat bahwa kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran berada pada kategori sangat baik sesuai dengan perolehan nilai 3,80. Hal ini karena guru yang merupakan peneliti sudah mempersiapkan perangkat pembalajaran question student have secara cermat. Kemampuan guru melakukan perbaikan-perbaikan melalui refleksi setelah pertemuan pembelajaran berlangsung merupakan faktor penting agar dapat lebih baik pada pertemuan berikutnya. Respon yang diberikan siswa terhadap pembelajaran materi virus dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran question student have sangat baik. Hal ini sesuai dengan hasil angket dengan nilai 83,33 % yang menyatakan bahwa senang terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran tersebut. Rasa sengang siswa terhadap pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran ini menimbulkan rasa puas bagi siswa. Rasa senang siswa juga disebabkan oleh untuk bekerja sama dalam kelomok dalam menyelesaikan tugas pada LKS dengan persentase 15 % pada setiap RPP. Kata Kunci : Question Student Have, Pembelajaran Konsep Virus.

Abstract

The aimed of this research is to find out does the use of free writing technique improve students’ writing skill or not. The research conducted at SMPN 1 Kembang Tanjong with experimental research design. The population was all of the eighth grade students with the total number of students were 106. The sample was class VIII 1 as experimental class and VIII 2 as control class. The instrument used in pre-test and post-test was a set of written test. Rubric scoring system by Heaton used to analyze the students writing score and independent T-test used to analyze the data. The result of data analysis showed that in pre-test the students at experimental class got mean score 53,5 while at control class got 52,10. In post-test, the students at experimental class who taught writing by using free writing technique got a mean score 78,08 and at control class students who was not got the treatment as in experimental class only got a mean score 57,70. The result of independent T-test, at pretest t-count ? t-table (0,154 ? 1,685) and P-value ? level of significance (0,879 ? 0,05) it means there were no significantly differences between experimental class and control class at pre-test and at posttest t-count ? t-table (3.845 ? 1,685) and P-value ? level of significance (0,00 ? 0,05) it means teaching writing by using free writing technique improve significantly the students writing skill. Abstract

This study aims to describe student learning activities and student learning outcomes by applying the Scientific Approach to the Discovery Learning Model in the material of the Potential of Natural Resources and Maritime. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The subjects in this study were seventh grade students of Darussa’adah Putri Middle School in the 2015/2016 academic year, with 24 students consisting of 7 female students and 17 male students. Data collection techniques used are test and non-test techniques. Data analysis was performed by quantitative data analysis the average formative test value of the first cycle of 61.46 increased in the second cycle to 77.50. Classical learning completeness in the first cycle of 38% increased in the second cycle to 92%. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the scientific learning model discovery learning model can improve student learning outcomes in the material of the Potential of Natural Resources and Indonesian Maritime in class VII students of Darussa’adah Putri Middle School. Therefore, teachers are advised to apply the scientific model of discovery learning models in social studies learning or other lessons.
