Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine which photoperiod affects the growth and survival of papuyu (Anabas testudineus) larvae. The research was conducted on Jl. Dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Kuala Pembuang I for 6 weeks. The larvae used in this study were 3 days old with a stocking density of 20 fish/tub, the larvae were reared with different lighting durations for 27 days. The lighting treatment was carried out using lights installed in each treatment equipped with a switch with a power of 5 watts, then each aquarium was given black plastic so that the light effect from other treatment lamps did not affect other aquariums. Feeding was carried out by means of satiation feeding with the type of fengli flour feed size 0. This study used 4 treatments and 3 replications, namely treatment A: 24T:0G, B: 16T:8G, C: 8T: 16G and D: 0T: 24G. Research parameters include larval growth and fish survival and water quality as supporting data. Based on the results of the study, a good photoperiod for growth rate and survival is 24 hours of light, 0 dark. While the results of the analysis of giving different photoperiods to papuyu fish larvae had no effect on absolute weight growth but on length growth showed a very real effect, while for the survival of fish larvae there was no effect on the treatment.

Abstract

The golden snail is a pest of rice plantations; utilized as a base liquid organic fertilizer, mainly the meat part, because it contains much protein, while the shell is left behind. Decomposers are generally added as fungi or bacteria to speed the decompositions. the aim of the research is to know the effect of interaction and single, the best interaction, the type of decomposer, and the best material composition on the chemical characteristic of golden snail liquid organic fertilizer. The testing of nutrients was carried out in the PPLH ULM Laboratory, Banjarbaru, Kalimantan Selatan Province, in July 2020. The research utilized is a Completely Randomized Design with two factors. The first factor is the type decomposer (D), which consists of 2 levels, that are d1 = Trichoderma sp. and d2 = EM4. The second-factor material composition (K) consists of 3 levels, that are k1 = shell, k2 = meat, and k3 = gold snail shell and meat. The result showed an interaction effect on the element Fe variable, with the best treatment having a significant impact on the Mn element variable, and a great influence on N and P elements, with the best treatment being k2.

Abstract

Farmers are the people who use land (nature), labor, and capital to organize production in the agricultural field, whether for profit or not. Farming is a production organization.Corn (Zea mays L.) is one of the main commodities of legumes. It is a staple food in the United States because it is a good source of vegetable protein that helps diversify the food supply and ensures the nation's food security.Farmers are influenced by a variety of factors, including economic ones, such as capital control, the expectation of greater profits from farming, which will be chosen in comparison to other forms of farming. This is especially true when it comes to prioritizing optimal production results. The study was conducted in Sidorukun Village, Pangkatan District, Labuhanbatu Regency, with the goals of determining the level of farmer adoption of corn cultivation technology and the socioeconomic influence of farmers on corn cultivation technology.By using survey techniques, this study employs either quantitative or descriptive methods.According to the study's findings, the adoption rate of maize cultivation in Sidorukun village, Pangkatan District, Labuhanbatu Regency, is influenced by age, education level, duration of farming, and frequency of counseling. Additionally, corn cultivation did not adhere to all components of cultivation technology recommended by Field Agricultural Extension (PPL).

Abstract

Agrotourism is a tourist place that utilizes the beauty of natural resources. To increase the number of tourists, companies must highlight their advantages to give satisfaction to tourists. The purpose of the study was to determine the description and relationship of the marketing mix with interest in revisits at Agrotourism Gunungsari Kopeng. This study uses Rank Spearman correlation analysis through interviews using questionnaires of 50 tourists as respondents who were selected through the Non-Probability Sampling Technique. The results show that the interest in revisits is supported by the 4P marketing mix (price, product/service, promotion, place). The results of the correlation analysis of X1 and X2 have a strong and positive correlation rate. They have a significant correlation, while X3 and X4 have a relatively strong and positive correlation rate and havsubstantialcant correlation with interest in revisits (Y).

Abstract

Manure derived from cattle, chickens, and goats can be used as compost and has different nutrient content. The application of manure compost can improve soil’s physical, chemical, and biological properties and thus increase plant growth and productivity. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of various manure compost (cow, chicken, and goat) on the growth of elephant grass cv Pakchong (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Pakchong). The design used was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment is fertilizing using compost, namely P0= without compost, P1=cow manure compost, P2=chicken manure compost, and P3=goat manure compost. The observed variables were plant height, the number of leaves and tiller, and the dry weight of the leaves stem shoots and roots. The results showed that the use of manure compost had a significant effect (P<0.05) on increasing the growth of elephant grass cv. Pakchong. Chicken manure compost produces the best growth of elephant grass cv. Pakchong which is seen from the plant height, the number of leaves and tiller, and the dry weight of the leaves, stems, and shoots.

Abstract

This study aims to determine technically the implementation in the business of making omega 3 salted eggs, to technically and economically determine the cost, income, and business feasibility of making omega 3 salted eggs in Sungai Pandan Hulu Village. Production process activities are carried out for 6 days starting from cleaning/selection of eggs to steaming and ready to be marketed. So there are 4 (four) production cycles. Using raw materials in the form of fresh duck eggs, while the auxiliary materials are coarse salt, ash/red brick powder, sufficient water, plus materials for steaming and packaging. The production capacity is 2,600 grains with a selling price of Rp. 3,200 / item. The total cost of production (TC) spent during the research period was Rp. 7,282,203.34. Total Revenue (TR) obtained during the research period is Rp. 8,320,000. The value of RCR (revenue cost ratio) is 1.1425. This means that RCR > 1, then the manufacture of omega 3 salted eggs in Sungai Pandan Hulu Village can be said to be profitable and feasible to cultivate

Abstract

Soil nutrient deficiency is a problem aftermath of reduction caused by metals and leaching due to low soil organic matter and high input of synthetic chemical fertilizers. The decline in the corn harvest index is a decrease in soil fertility. Hence, local organic materials have urgently needed as a Ultisol ameliorant. This study aims to determine the right combination of chicken manure and cow manure to produce the best increase in plant height and increase the plant dry weight, soil pH, and CEC. The research has conducted at the Hasnur Polytechnic, South Kalimantan, from April 2022 to August 2022 and used a completely randomized design with 200 g of manure divided into three combinations of P0 (control), P1 (30% chicken manure versus 70% cow manure), P2 (50% chicken manure versus 50% cow manure), P3 (70% chicken manure versus 30% cow manure). The results showed that the P2 treatment increased plant height, dry weight, and optimal soil pH, while P3 showed significant soil CEC because chicken manure had varied and balanced nutrient content compared to cow manure.
