Abstract

Since it was established in 2010 until 2016, Bali cattle farming and its byproduct of the Agricultural and Rural Training Center (P4S = Pusat Pelatihan Pertanian dan Pedesaan Swadaya) had never been evaluated for its financial analysis. This research aimed to evaluate the financial analysis of Bali cattle farming and its byproduct in the P4S of Cahaya Purnama. This research was conducted from September to December 2016 in the P4S of Cahaya Purnama, Tepian Baru Village, Bengalon Sub-district, East Kutai District. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling method with the criterion that the cattle were 8 to 24 months old. The instruments used to analyze the data were Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Benefit/Cost Ratio, Payback Period and Return of Investment (ROI). Bali cattle farming business consisted of the development of Bali beef cattle as the main business and manure processing as the byproduct. Manure processing business was the attempt of the manager to utilize the waste of cattle and it was expected that it was able to add income for the farmers. The model of Bali cattle development was the integration between oil palm plantation and Bali cattle farming. The research findings showed that the NPV was 9%, indicating that the business was minus with the amount of Rp. 19,393,858, so that the value of IRR was not known. The value of Net B/C Ratio was 0.97; the value of payback period was 0.83 or 9 years; and the value of ROI was minus with the percentage of 19%. Therefore, the Bali cattle farming business was not feasible to continue and there should be some improvements needed to make it better.

Abstract

This study is aimed to investigate effect of nutrient contained chlorophyll-a and the influence of physical, chemical water quality of the chlorophyll-a. Because the dynamics of nutrients that affect primary productivity, which can cause changes in the conditions these waters.Research was conducted  at the Kahayan River and back water is called Lake Tehang, connecting channel between Lake Tehang and Lake Batu, Lake Tehang nearby port, Lake Tehang at the middle part, Lake Bunter, Kahayan River of Kota Palangka Raya from Oktober 2015-Desember 2015 rainy seasonal and Juli 2015-September 2015 dry seasonal by measuring monthly some water quality parameters such as water level or depth (WL), water temperature (WT), Total Suspendid Solid (TSS), electrical conductivity (EC), pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), nitrat (NO3), nitrit (NO2), fosfat (PO4), total nitrogen (TN), silikat (SIO2), ammonia (NH3), total fosfat (TP), chlorophyll-a. Those water quality parameters were regarded as independent countinous variables which were measured insitu by using depth sounder for WL and Horiba U10 water quality checker for WT, EC, pH and DO. However, for TSS, NO3, NO2, TP, PO4, TN, SIO2, NH3 and chlorophyll-a were analyzed in the laboratory.  To extract these multivariable data, I used Redudancy Analysis (RDA) of  statistical program of R. Result showed that there were clearly relationship among water quality parameters, factor of chemical physics at study site by biplot ordination graph (map) of RDA. and water temperature was  simultaneously affected significantly by water quality parameters, WL,  source (F= 0.09, Pr(>F) = 0.005). The RDA exhibited  the brief tendency that strongly possitive correlation  occurred among WL, EC, in turn the negatif correlation with WT, pH and DO by both RDA1 and RDA2 axis.  In addition WT were also strongly possitive correlation happened among them, and on the other hand negatif correlation to WL RDA1 and RDA2 axis. By constraining all independent variables, I found that WT were among the significant variables affecting mortality of fish and respectively showing by anova permutation test : WT: F = 0,03, Pr(>F) = 0.005; F : 0,09, Pr (>F)= 0,19.Chemical physics factors are chlorophyll-a gave an impulse to the development of chlorophyll-a in the water, chlorophyll-a in waters influenced by the total phosphate, and silikat (SIO2. In river and lakes of high latitude the large annual fluctuation of water temperature affects aquatic communities including phytoplakton

Abstract

In Indonesia, corn is an important food commodity after rice, so its production must be improved. That can be done to increase corn production is by using the right varieties and the provision of fertilizer, one of them by using biofertilizer. This study aims to (1) determine the effect of interaction between varieties with the dosage of biological fertilizer, (2) to know the effect of varieties, (3) to know the effect of the dosage of biological fertilizer, (4) get the best interaction between varieties with biofertilizer, (5) get the best varieties, (6) get the best biofertilizer dose on growth and sweet corn yield on swamp land. This research was conducted in Tambalang Kecil Village, Sungai Pandan from April to July 2017. Using Factor Random Design (RAK) Factorial 2 factors. The first factor is varieties with 3 levels: v1 = Janisa F1 Varieties, v2 = Bonanza F1 Varieties, v3 = Super Sweet Corn Varieties. The second factor is the dosage of Migro Green biological fertilizer with 3 levels: h1 = 4 ℓ.ha-1 equivalent to 1.38 mℓ.plot-1, h2 = 6 ℓ.ha-1 equivalent to 2.06 mℓ.plot-1, h3 = 8 ℓ.ha-1 is equivalent to 2.75 mℓ.plot-1. The results showed that the interaction between the varieties and the biological fertilizer did not affect the growth and results, but the significant effect on the weight of cob without cornhosk, while the single factor varieties significantly affect the growth and very significant effect on yield components and biofertilizer has no effect on the vegetative growth component, but have a significant effect on generative growth component and yield component.
