Abstract

Indonesia has various languages, one of which is Javanese. Javanese is the language used to communicate by people from the Javanese tribe. In the world of education, Javanese is included in elementary school learning in areas such as East Java. But not a few children who have difficulty in learning about learning the Java language so that it can trigger a lack of understanding of the Java language properly and correctly, especially the Java language Krama. Therefore, the need for a media that is useful for helping children in learning about Java language Krama. This paper focuses on designing a motion graphic animation instructional media that is effective and attractive to help children in learning about Krama Java language vocabulary using qualitative methods such as interviews and observation.

Abstract

Besmart is an online learning model developed and used by Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). This study aims to describe the management of Javanese language learning using the Besmart UNY mode. Learning management that is carried out is starting from the process of preparation, implementation, to learning assessment, as well as measuring the level of student satisfaction with learning management using the Besmart mode. The method used is descriptive-analytical. The instrument used to measure the level of student satisfaction is a questionnaire. Based on the results of research, learning management using the Besmart mode facilitates the implementation of learning management in Javanese language courses. Learning the Javanese language that has been considered very boring can be made more interesting by utilizing the features available at Besmart. The management of Javanese learning by maximizing the support of the information and communication technology in the Besmart mode helps achieve the Javanese language's objectives more optimally. The use of Besmart in learning management is proven to be very helpful for students (58,5%) and students are very satisfied (50,9%) with learning management with the Besmart mode.

Abstract

Education is one of the aspects affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The online learning that has been taken since the outbreak began in March 2020 has an impact on the effectiveness of the learning outcomes themselves. This research is a qualitative research that aims to obtain a description of online learning for the Learning Evaluation course at the Javanese Language and Literature Education Study Program, Faculty of Language and Arts, Universitas Negeri Semarang, even semester 2020/2021. Online learning at Unnes uses the Elena system to support optimizing lecture outcomes. The technique of collecting data in this study used a questionnaire technique with 92 respondents in the sixth semester of the Java Language and Literature Education Study Program who took the Learning Evaluation course. The data analysis technique uses the Miles & Huberman (1994) technique which consists of three stages, namely data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions and reflections. The results of this study indicate that online learning has been effective in achieving the learning objectives of the course, but it needs to be improved so that it is more structured in providing online material. The results of this study are used as guidelines for improving online learning, especially in the Learning Evaluation course in the coming semester and online learning in all courses in general.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Online Learning System (SPADA) in the Javanese Text Writing course. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study using interpretive methods presented in the form of a description. The research subjects were students of the Java Language Education Study Program (PBJ) FKIP UNS semester II or the 2020 batch of 74 people. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique which only focused on students who were taking the MTBJ course in the even semester of 2021. The data collection technique used a questionnaire or questionnaire technique. The analysis technique used is data collection, data processing and giving conclusions. Data processing is presented in the form of a brief description or detailed narrative text. The data that has been obtained are categorized and then conclusions are drawn. The results showed that students got various conveniences and benefits, such as ease of remembering lecture history, improvement of IT skills, ease of sending assignments, ease of understanding theory and improving skills as well as increasing the effectiveness of the lecture process. The SPADA features or menus that are much favored by students while attending MTBJ lectures, which can increase the effectiveness of lectures are discussion forums, assignments, course materials, and my dashboard. Some improvements that must be made by SPADA are related to upgrading the system, added features, and lecturer skills improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a powtoon-based Javanese language learning media and to find out the result of the validation of the powtoon-based javanese language learning media products. This type of research is research (R&D) which adapts from Sugiyono’s theory. Product validation was carried out by the media expert, material expert, Javanese language teachers, and the students. The data collection technique used a questionnaire and the analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The result showed that the interactive multimedia product powtoon was included in the very appropriate category. Likewise, media expert, material expert as well as Javanese language teachers assessed that the quality of interactive multimedia learning powtoon was very appropriate. The students strongly agree with the development of interactive multimedia powtoon. The results after a limited trial on students showed that interactive multimedia powtoon was very effective. Based on these results, the interactive multimedia product powtoon is effective very suitable and used in learning Javanese dialogue.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of e-learning on the learning outcomes of fourth grade Javanese script students at SD Negeri Sugihan Jatirogo Tuban. This study used an experimental method with the research design was the control group pretest-posttest design, namely experimental research conducted on two groups of classes. In implementing this study, students were given a pretest. Then, after being given a different treatment between the controller class and the experimental class, a posttest was carried out. The test given was in the form of multiple choice test. In addition to the test, there were also supporting data in the form of interview questionnaires for the parents of fourth grade students. The results obtained that the posttest average score of the experimental class students was (80,96), that showed it was increased significantly compared to before receiving treatment (51,68). This study concluded the effect of learning on the learning outcomes of fourth grade Javanese script students at SD Negeri 1 Sugihan Jatirogo Tuban. The learning obstacle of e-learning based at SD N 1 Sugihan, Jatirogo, Tuban was inadequate internet network facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the types and forms of deixis contained in the novel Sumi by Tiwiek SA and their relevance as teaching materials for Javanese language learning in high school. Based on the above objectives, this type of research is descriptive qualitative. The research data are all forms of deixis in the form of words, phrases, or sentences contained in the novel Sumi by Tiwiek SA. Data collection techniques using library techniques, listen, and take notes. The collected data were analyzed using content analysis. The data validation technique uses inter nal validity with persistence techniques. The results showed that there were several types of deixis found: (1) person deixis,(2) time deixis, (3) place deixis, (4) discourse deixis, and (5) social deixis. The five types of deixis found can be used as teaching materials for Javanese language learning in senior high school level XI odd semester in novel passages. The deixis found can be developed into word choice material (diction) to help interpret the meaning of words in a literary discourse. This is supported by the Basic Competence of understanding the meaning of the text and retelling the contents of the text contained in the 2013 curriculum syllabus. Word choice (diction) can also be used as an effort to form understanding in choosing words or phrases to improve writing, speaking, and reading skills. Abstract

Covid-19 has transformed all classroom learning through an internet connection. The purpose of this study was to describe the needs of teachers and students, develop products, and describe the validation of the developed media experts. The method in this research is R&D. The research subjects were teachers and students of class XII even semester as well as material and media experts. The research instruments used were interview guidelines, questionnaires, and documentation with qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. This research shows that teachers and students need the digital comic media Webtoon Serat Tripama for character education learning. This research succeeded in developing the digital comic media Webtoon Serat Tripama. The product that is assessed by material and media experts is then based on the assessment of the media, it is improved so that it is feasible in learning. It can be said that the Webtoon Serat Tripama media is appropriate to be used as a learning medium for the even semester XII class.

Abstract

This study was conducted to describe the use of media fun learning mat in an effort to improve Javanese speaking skills, the variety of manners of fifth grade students is still low. Sources of data in this study were students of class V MI Muhammadiyah 10 Yanggong a total of 16 students. The data collection technique is done by interview, observation, test and documentation. The use of this media has a positive impact including; students are more active in learning activities, self-confidence increases, learning activities are more memorable and fun and students' oral test scores have increased with the percentage of classical completeness 87.50%. So it can be said that the use of fun learning mat media is able to improve the Javanese language speaking skills in a variety of manners, and is expected to be able to motivate students to practice it in everyday life.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Problem Based Learning-based modules in the text review course. This study took a sample of 4th semester students of class A class A, Regional Language and Literature Department, State University of Surabaya. The research method used is descriptive quantitative method. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing questionnaires, observations, and giving test questions for cognitive learning outcomes. The data analysis technique was carried out with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, then the data was tested using the normality test and T-Test (Paired Samples T-Test). The results showed that the Problem Based Learning-based module was effectively used in the manuscript review course. This is evidenced by the progress of the average score from pretest to posttest, namely from 64.1034 to 73.5517. The minimum score in the pretest is 50.00, with the maximum score being 78.00. It is different with the posttest, the minimum score achieved by students is 60.00 and the maximum score is 85.00. On the basis of these advances, the Problem Based Learning-based module is effective for improving students' understanding and skills in the text review course.
