Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan interpretasi falsafah hidup Karma Marga Yoga dan interpretasi ajaran Karma Marga Yoga dalam naskah Sêrat Bhagawad Gita. Metode penelitian meliputi dua tahap, yaitu metode filologi dan metode kualitatif. metode filologi dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu transliterasi, suntingan, dan terjemahan teks. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan dalam interpretasi ajaran dan falsafah hidup teks. Sumber data penelitian ialah naskah berjudul Sêrat Bhagawad Gita. Analisis dilakukan dengan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Pengesahan data digunakan validitas semantik dan reliabilitas (intrarater dan inerrater). Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: (1) falsafah hidup Karma Marga Yoga yaitu (a) berbuat baik merupakan kewajiban manusia, (b) berbuat dengan mengendalikan panca indera dan nafsu, (c) melakukan yadnya, (d) berbuat tanpa pamrih, (e) berbuat berdasarkan Tri Guna; dan (2) Karma Marga Yoga merupakan jalan yang ditempuh untuk mencapai kesempurnaan hidup dengan cara melakukan berbuat tanpa pamrih serta memasrahkan segala hasilnya kepada Tuhan. Karma Marga Yoga, philosophy of life in the sricpt of Sêrat Bhagawad Gita AbstractThis research aimed to interpretate Karma Marga Yoga philosophy of life and interpretate the doctrine of Karma Marga Yoga in the manuscript of Sêrat Bhagawad Gita. (1) The philosophy of life from Karma Marga Yoga is (a) working is a human obligation, (b) working with controlled senses, (c) doing yadnya, (d) working selflessly, (e) doing based of Tri Guna. (2) Karma Marga Yoga is the way to achieve the perfection of life by doing the work without expecting the results.

Abstract

Besmart is an online learning model developed and used by Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). This study aims to describe the management of Javanese language learning using the Besmart UNY mode. Learning management that is carried out is starting from the process of preparation, implementation, to learning assessment, as well as measuring the level of student satisfaction with learning management using the Besmart mode. The method used is descriptive-analytical. The instrument used to measure the level of student satisfaction is a questionnaire. Based on the results of research, learning management using the Besmart mode facilitates the implementation of learning management in Javanese language courses. Learning the Javanese language that has been considered very boring can be made more interesting by utilizing the features available at Besmart. The management of Javanese learning by maximizing the support of the information and communication technology in the Besmart mode helps achieve the Javanese language's objectives more optimally. The use of Besmart in learning management is proven to be very helpful for students (58,5%) and students are very satisfied (50,9%) with learning management with the Besmart mode.

Abstract

This research aimed to interpretate Jñana Marga Yoga philosophy of life and interpretate the doctrine of Jñana Marga Yoga in the manuscript of Sêrat Bhagawad Gita. Abstract

(Title: The Marriage Archetype Pivoting To Sêrat Wédhå Tanåyå). Marriage is one of the cycles of life conducted based on norms society, one of the example is marriage happening in Javanese society. The research entitled The Marriage Archetype Pivoting to Sêrat Wédhå Tanåyå aimed to describe the marriage archetype in Javanese script. The method used to analyze in this research is qualitative-descriptive by using the script entitled Sêrat Wédhå Tanåyå which belong to the library of Dewantara Kirti Griya in Yogyakarta. The data were gathered by translating, reducing, and categorizing the text. The data analysis was analysed heuritically and hermeneutically. Based on the discussion, there are some obtained data abaout marriage in Javanese background, those are: 1) partner characterization; 2) man obligation in marriage; 3) the marriage archetype; 4) the marriage manners. The rule or etiquette conveyed in this script is expected to be one of the pivoting principles to select the marriage partner, and it also becomes a way of consideration in doing the prospective partner selection in marriage. By referring those tenets, expectedly marriage relationship will be long-lasting and bring forth happiness and welfare. Keywords: archetype, marriage, Javanese, Sêrat Wédhå Tanåyå

Abstract

(Title: The Dynamics of Puppet Culture Towards The World of Reality in Wayang Pesisiran). The world of puppetry is so attached to Javanese society where the changes of the times does not detract from the existence of puppets in Javanese people's lives. This study aims to describe the characteristics of coastal puppets and the dynamics of puppet culture towards the world of reality in coastal puppets using qualitative approaches. The data source used is a video of coastal puppets and interviews to Ki Kartono. Data is collected by means of listen, record, and interview. The data analysis used was the qualitative analysis of Miles Huberman (1992). Based on the results of research, coastal puppet shows always begin by introducing the mission of the show and introducing the main characters in the play to be told. The cultural dynamics of puppetry towards the world of reality in coastal puppets contain at least six dynamics, namely: a) religious; b) greetings; c) the territory of the country; d) socio-cultural; e) the growth of life (kasampurnaning dumadi); and f) employment. The dynamics that occur in the world of puppetry indicates the dynamic in Javanese puppetry in an effort to continue to maintain its existence in modern times today. Keywords: cultural dynamics, the world of reality, wayang pesisiran

Abstract

The present study aimed to explore character education and philosophical values in the Ranggawarsita’s work entitled Serat Sabdajati. A qualitative method was applied in this study using hermeneutic design. The National Library of the Republic of Indonesia Collection of Serat Sabdajati was used as the primary data source in this study. The data collected in this study were the lingual units including the words, phrases, clauses and sentences in the verses of the Serat Sabdajati. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively using hermeneutic approach. The results reported several character and philosophical values found in the serat (manuscript), which include: 1) spiritual values including laku prihatin (caring), nglaras ati (harmonize the heart) , ngesthi rahayu (looking for salvation), jatining kawruh (true knowledge), ambuka wiwaraning dhiri (open up), manunggaling kawula Gusti (unity with the God), kemating pating pratitis (viewing the death distinctly); 2) religious values including andel mring Hyang (believe in God), temen tinemu (those who sow will reap); 3) social values including sasmita yekti (understand the truth), memayu hayuning sasama (maintain community safety). This study concluded that human needs to always aware of their origin and the place to return to. A comprehensive discussion was presented by comparing the results of the present study and the previous studies.

Abstract

Catur Warna di dalam konsep Hindu seringkali disalahtafsirkan dengan istilah kasta pada masyarakat. Merujuk pada sumbernya, Catur Warna merupakan sebuah konsep penggolongan masyarakat yang didasarkan pada sifat (guna) dan karma manusia. Kajian ini berupaya menguraikan prinsip-prinsip penentuan Catur Warna dalam perspektif humanisme religius. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan ialah teks-teks pada naskah Sêrat Bhagawad Gita dan Kitab Sārasamuccaya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik baca catat purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis deskriptif disertai validitas triangulasi dan reliabilitas stabilitas. Hasil kajian ini menyimpulkan bawah sistem Catur Warna merupakan salah satu contoh aplikasi dari pandangan filsafat humanisme religius. Hal tersebut didukung dengan kebebasan memilih kelompok (kasta) yang diinginkan sepanjang dalam pelaksanaan kewajiban disesuaikan dengan guna dan karma yang melekat padanya. Humanisme religius dalam hal ini menjadi pedoman yang kuat untuk mengurai permasalahan kasta di dalam masyarakat yang selama ini dimaknai sebagai sistem stratifikasi sosial yang bersifat vertikal.Religious humanism in the concept of catur warna Catur Warna in the Hindu concept is often misinterpreted with the term caste in society. Referring to the source, Catur Warna is a concept of classifying society based on human nature (guna) and karma. This study attempts to describe the principles of determining Catur Warna from the perspective of religious humanism. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data sources used are the texts of the Sêrat Bhagawad Gita and the Sārasamuccaya Book. Data collection was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis with triangulation validity and stability reliability. The results of this study conclude that the Catur Warna system is one example of the application of the philosophical view of religious humanism. This is supported by the freedom to choose the desired group (caste) as long as the implementation of obligations is adjusted to the use and karma attached to it. Religious humanism in this case is a strong guideline to unravel the caste problem in society which has been interpreted as a vertical system of social stratification.Keywords: caste, catur warna, religious humanism
