Abstract

Mustard (Brassica juncea L.) is a vegetable plant that is very easy to cultivate in both cold and hot areas and has many benefits for the body. Beauveria bassiana is one of the entomopathogenic fungi that can be widely used as biological control of plant pests. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and the best dose in the application of bio-insecticide B. bassiana in suppressing the intensity of attack on mustard plants. This study used a one-factor randomized block design (RAK), which consisted of five treatments and was repeated five times to obtain twenty-five experimental units with 3 samples each, requiring 75 plants. A1 : No treatment (control with water), A2 : 20 (4.5 x 1010) / 500 mL water, A3 : 30 (4.5 x 1010) / 500 mL water, A4 : 40 (4.5 x 1010) / 500 mL water, A5 : 50 (4.5 x 1010) / 500 mL water. Bioinsecticide Beauveria bassiana has an effect on the intensity of pest attack. The best bio-insecticide product containing the active ingredient Beauveria bassiana is A5 : 50 (4.5 x 1010) / 500 mL water.). However, from an economic point of view as well as the concentration of the dose, it is recommended that treatment A3 : 30 (4.5 x 1010) / 500 mL of water be used because the effect is not significantly different from that of treatment A5 : 50 (4.5 x 1010) / 500 mL of water.).

Abstract

This research objective was to obtain the best organic feltilizer brand for the growth and production of bok choy in acid dryland. This research was conducted in a greenhouse owned by Departement of Agricultural Cultivation, Faculty of Agricultural, Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarbaru. This research was conducted from February 2020 - April 2020. Factorial completely randomized design was applied with 10 t ha-1 for all brands. The treatments were: P0 = Control, P1 = 10 t ha-1 2- Tia-Agri, P2 = 10 t ha-1 Sunflower, P3 = 10 t ha-1 Supernasa, and P4 = 10 t ha-1 Evergreen with five replicates.  The results showed that organic fertilizer brands affected growth and production of bok choy.  The best dose was Evergreen with 10 t ha-1 (P4).

Abstract

Kangkung land (Ipomea reptans P.) is a vegetable that is much favored by the community, the demand for land spinach in Indonesia reaches 308,477 tons ha-1. The availability of kale plants must be sustainable to meet high market demand. One of the efforts that can be done is to increase the productivity of kale plants in suitable soil and environmental conditions. One way to increase the productivity of kale is by applying good technology for cultivation, including the use of fertilizers. Compound fertilizers are more practical to use because they already contain macro-nutrients in the form of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). The study aimed to determine the effect of giving several doses of inorganic NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of land kangkung. The study was carried out in the field of Jone village, Paser Regency, East Kalimantan from July to August 2020. This study used a single factor RAK, namely the administration of a dose of NPK fertilizer. There were 5 treatments and 4 replications, so there were 20 experimental units. Observation parameters consisted of leaf width, plant height, plant wet weight and number of leaves. The best dose of inorganic NPK fertilizer is 25 grams/plot or 250 kg/ha.                                                                               Copyright ã 2022 Agroekotek View

Abstract

Kelangsungan hidup sebagian besar penduduk Indonesia bergantung pada komoditas tanaman pangan salah satunya yaitu tanaman padi (Oryza sativa L.). Namun terdapat faktor penghambat upaya peningkatan produksi padi salah satunya yaitu serangan hama keong mas (Pomacea canaliculata L.). Untuk mengatasi serangan hama keong mas dapat digunakan moluskasida nabati sebagai alternatifnya. Adapun tanaman yang memiliki potensi sebagai moluskasida nabati untuk mengatasi serangan hama keong mas adalah tanaman sirsak (Annona muricata L.) pada bagian daun yang dapat dibuat dalam bentuk ekstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun sirsak dan mendapatkan konsentrasi ekstrak daun sirsak yang efektif untuk mengendalikan hama keong mas pada tanaman padi. Tempat penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Kimia dan Lingkungan Industri Program Studi Teknologi Industri Pertanian Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Lambung Mangkurat Banjarbaru, di Laboratorium Produksi Jurusan Agroekoteknologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Lambung Mangkurat Banjarbaru, dan di lahan sawah Kampung Jawa Danau Salak RT. 06 RW. 03 Kecamatan Astambul Kabupaten Banjar dimulai dari bulan Juli – September 2020. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan perlakuan berupa ekstrak daun sirsak dengan konsentrasi DS 1= 5% (5 ml ekstrak daun sirsak + 95 ml aquades), DS 2= 10% (10 ml ekstrak daun sirsak + 90 ml aquades), DS 3= 15% (15 ml ekstrak daun sirsak + 85 ml aquades), dan DS 4= 20% (20 ml ekstrak daun sirsak + 80 ml aquades). Setiap perlakuan terdiri atas 4 ulangan, sehingga terdapat 20 satuan percobaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, konsentrasi ekstrak daun sirsak yang paling efektif untuk mengendalikan hama keong mas (Pomacea canaliculata L.) adalah 20% atau 20 ml ekstrak daun sirsak + 80 ml aquades. Konsentrasi 20% yaitu 20 ml ekstrak daun sirsak ditambah 80 ml aquades dapat dijadikan sebagai jumlah takaran pada moluskasida nabati ekstrak daun sirsak sehingga dapat meminimalkan penggunaan moluskasida kimia.

Abstract

Tomato (lycopersicum esculentum L.) is a fruit that is quite popular and has many uses. In addition to the abundant production of tomatoes, tomatoes have a relatively short shelf life and are easily damaged both mechanically and physiologically. In maintaining the quality of tomatoes so that they are durable and reach the hands of consumers, it is necessary to have good post-harvest handling. Edible coating is one of technology that can be used to maintain fruit quality. Beeswax and Kolang Kaling (Arenga pinata Merr.) are materials that can be used as edible coatings. This study aims to determine the effect of the edible coating of beeswax and kolang kaling in maintaining the quality of tomatoes. This research was conducted at the Production Laboratory and Integrated Laboratory of the Agroecotechnology Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarbaru from November to December 2020. The method used in this study was (CRD), a completely randomized design with 1 factor namely, edible coating material used. There were 3 treatments of edible caoting material in this study, control or without coating agent (EC0), 6% beeswax emulsion (EC1) and 10% kolang kaling emulsion (EC2) and repeated 6 replications. The observations or benchmarks in this study were fruit color, fruit texture, fruit taste and weight loss of tomatoes which were observed for 12 days. The results of this study indicate that the provision of edible caoting has a effect on the quality of tomatoes. based on the organoleptic test, 6% beeswax treatment was the best treatment in this study to maintain the quality of tomatoes during the observation. Based on the analysis of various treatments, 6% beeswax had a very significant effect on the weight loss of tomatoes on the 8th and 12th days

Abstract

Prospek serapan pasar terhadap komoditas jagung manis akan terus meningkat sejalan dengan peningkatan jumlah penduduk, karena itu komoditas jagung manis harus dapat memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat dan memenuhi permintaan pasar. Permasalahan yang sering timbul pada tanaman jagung manis yakni, ketidakseimbangan keanekaragaman antara hama dan musuh alami yang berdampak pada produktivitas hasil jagung manis yang disebabkan penggunaan dosis pupuk NPK dan pupuk kandang yang tidak sesuai. Faktor abiotik dan biotik juga dapat mempengaruhi keanekaragaman hama dan musuh alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui status keanekaragaman hama dan musuh alami pada tanaman jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata Sturt.) yang diberi pupuk NPK, pupuk kandang, kombinasi pupuk NPK dan pupuk kandang. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok satu faktor dengan empat perlakuan yang terdiri dari J1 = Kontrol, J2 = 10 ton/ha pupuk kandang, J3 = 100 kg/ha NPK + 10 ton/ha pupuk kandang, J4 = 100 kg/ha NPK + 20 ton/ha pupuk kandang. Variabel pada pengamatan ini yaitu tingkat keanekaragaman hama dan musuh alami yang terperangkap, dilakukan sebanyak 1 kali setiap minggu yaitu dimulai pada  minggu ke 2 setelah tanam pada tanaman jagung manis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat status keanekaragaman hama dan musuh alami pada tanaman jagung manis sedang, perlakuan yang paling efektif terdapat pada perlakuan J2, karena pada perlakuan J2 tidak berbeda nyata dengan J1 (kontrol), J3 dan J4, baik pada indeks keanekaragaman, kekayaan jenis, kemerataan jenis dan indeks dominasi, hal ini karena penggunaan pupuk NPK, kandang dan kombinasi tidak berbahaya bagi organisme dilingkungan tersebut, melainkan perlakuan tersebut berpengaruh terhadap perilaku pertumbuhan yang berdampak pada ketertarikan hama dan musuh alami. pemberian pupuk yang sesuai akan menentukan kelimpahan jenis hama dan musuh alami dalam suatu ekosistem. Hal ini dikarenakan ekosistem tersebut dapat memberikan makanan yang cukup bagi hama dan musuh alami untuk berkembang biak Fitriani (2016).
