Abstract

Central Kahayan State High School is located in Central Kahayan District, Pulang Pisau Regency, Central Kalimantan. The pandemic period resulted in several changes in the implementation of learning. One is that face-to-face learning activities must be carried out online, resulting in limited interaction between teachers and students. The allocation of cut learning time leads to a lack of time for learners to understand the concept of the material. These obstacles experienced result in a reduction in the quality of learning and a decrease in student motivation in the learning process. Based on the existing problems, the idea emerged as a solution by holding project-based learning design training through local resources. Through this training, it is hoped that teachers will have more knowledge and insight into designing innovative learning by utilizing local wisdom and potential. In general, the objectives of community service implemented are 1) increasing motivation to provide innovation in learning activities, 2) improving skills for teachers to design project-based learning activities, and 3) increasing the motivation and enthusiasm for learning of students

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) first year students in the Departement of Technology and Vocational Education (JPTK), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Palangka Raya University (UPR). Zimmerman (1989) explains that to be able to carry out self regulation in learning, students/learners must regulate themselves or use certain strategies to achieve their learning goals. Pascarella & Terenzini (2005) stated that the first year is very important to identify students who may be at risk in subsequent years, so that it is considered the most optimal time to take action. This research is a quantitative research. This research to describe self-regulated learning (SRL) first year students using Zimmerman (2002) indicators, namely (1) task analysis (2) self motivational beliefs (3) self-control (4) self observation (5) self judgement and (6) self reactions. The instrument used was a questionnaire of 28 items using a Likert scale with four answer choices. The research subjects were 57 first year students in the Departement of Technology and Vocational Education (JPTK) FKIP UPR. The results showed that 10,53% of the research subject had very low Self-Regulated Learning (SRL), 38,60% of the subject were in the low category, 36,84% subject were in the high category, and 14,03% subject were in the very high Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) category. Abstract

SMKN 1 Banama Tingang is a vocational school located on 3 Padat Karya St, Pangi Village, Regency of Pulang Pisau. This school has three departments namely Welding Technology Department, Building Technology Department, and Accounting Department. Welding Technology Department is a department with the least number of students in the school which reflected the low interest in this department. One of reasons for that is due to misperception that this department is for construction worker. Another reason is due to lack of facilities for practice such as water pass. Therefore, one of solutions is to conduct the training for the use of water pass to measure land. During the training it can be seen that the interest in this department is increasing. Many questions were asked by students on how to use water pass. In the training, students were divided into several groups to match the number of water pass brought in this training. Students of PTB were actively involved to assist in the training. The training results showed that the interest of the student had increased, not only students from Building Department, but also from another departments. This indicates that the training was useful especially for the students of the school as well as PTB students involved in the training.

Qualitative research is research where the researcher is placed as a key instrument, the data collection technique is carried out by combining and the data analysis is inductive. This research was conducted in four stages, namely: 1) research preparation stage, 2) research implementation stage, 3) data analysis stage, and 4) conclusion drawing stage. The subjects of this study were caretakers of the Ayah Bunda Orphanage and Children from the Ayah Bunda Orphanage in Sebangau District, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan. Abstract

Integrating laboratory activities with learning activities is a separate dynamic for science teachers, because learning science (Chemistry, Physics, and Biology) will be "bland" because students do not get valuable practical experience. Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) is a learning model in which teachers can change conventional laboratory learning into integrated laboratory learning. This learning combines laboratory activities with other learning activities such as reading, lectures, and discussions. The purpose of this service is to introduce and train teachers in designing ADI-based learning. The Service Method is carried out in three stages, namely: 1) Preparatory Stage; 2) Implementation Stage; and 3) Evaluation Stage. The results achieved after participating in this workshop were being able to design learning based on the ADI Model. In addition, this activity received a positive response (78%) towards the development of science learning activities at the senior high school level

Abstract

The restrictions on social contact due to the Covid-19 pandemic also impacted the education sector causing many learning activities being carried out online. This research aims to 1) produce designs, 2) determine the feasibility level, and 3) determine the results of the development of problem-based learning digital teaching materials using Amphibia class subject materials in order to improve students’ communication skills. This research is development research using the ADDIE model with data collection techniques through interviews, validation, response questionnaires, observation of communication skills, and tests. Validation result data and response questionnaires were analyzed with the formula of eligibility criteria, respondent criteria and the N-Gain test. The analyses of the results show that the digital teaching materials produced are in the "Very Eligible" category for use, with a feasibility value of 86% according to the material and learning experts; 89% eligibility value according to media experts; its feasibility score was 76% according to linguists, and the average student response was 86%. The average value of the result of the N-Gain test on improving communication skills is 0.63 by means of the "Moderate" category. The 3 out of 5 indicators of written communication skills are in the” Very Good” category, while the 3 indicators of oral communication skills are in the “Very Good” category. The results of student responses with an average score of 85 are in the "Very Good" category, which means that the teaching materials developed have good quality and are suitably used for teaching materials to improve students' communication skills.

Abstract

The aquatic environment can be divided into two based on physical and chemical differences, namely: freshwater environment and marine aquatic environment. There are two kinds of freshwater waters, namely: calm (lentic) waters such as lakes, reservoirs and ponds; Flowing waters (lotic) for example rivers, sewers and ditches. In lotic habitats there are two main zones, namely the rushing water zone and the hood zone or calm zone. While in calm or lentic waters in general there are three main zones, namely: the littoral zone, the limnetic zone and the profundal zone (Cantonati et al., 2020). A water can be influenced by several factors including temperature, pH, DO and depth, therefore it is very important if in this case it is discussed about the overview of the waters at PTP Universitas Palangka Raya. By researching the parameters above, it can be seen that: Z, temperature, pH, DO. The correlation between DO and depth is -0.35** meaning it is significant at 0.01 or below 0.05. The temperature with DO is also significant but positive between temperature and DO because the value is 0.41** due to one quadrant according to PC1
