Abstract

This scholarly article advocates for a holistic approach to religious education within non-formal institutions like Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPQ). While acknowledging the significance of al-Qur'an reading proficiency, the study underscores the need to broaden the curriculum to encompass diverse subjects, including contextual comprehension, ethical teachings, and Islamic history. Emphasizing teacher training diversity, the research suggests expanding pedagogical methodologies and classroom management techniques tailored to different age groups and learning styles. Moreover, resource diversification is proposed through the integration of multimedia materials, interactive activities, and contemporary discussions related to Islam, fostering student engagement and relevance. By procuring prayer guidebooks and daily prayers and considering a wider range of resources, the implications of this study point toward a dynamic and enriched learning environment that goes beyond rote learning, with potential implications for religious education strategies on a global scale. Highlight: Comprehensive Curriculum: This article underscores the importance of expanding the curriculum in non-formal religious education settings, emphasizing contextual comprehension, ethical teachings, and Islamic history alongside al-Qur'an reading. Diverse Teacher Training: The study suggests enhancing teacher training with diverse pedagogical methodologies and classroom management techniques suited to varying age groups and learning styles, thus improving educators' effectiveness. Abstract

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the surge in maladaptive behavior among kindergarten students presents a pressing educational concern. Swift identification of such behaviors is crucial for effective intervention. This quantitative experimental study investigates the efficacy of the "Utilization of Information Technology-based Maladaptive Behavior Screening" training in bolstering the competence of teachers. Through quasi-experimental methods, 49 teachers from 'Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal in Sidoarjo Regency participated in the training. The assessment tool employed was a comprehension test. Statistical analysis via paired samples t-test revealed a significant enhancement (p = 0.009; p < 0.05) between pre- and post-training performance. The intervention showcased substantial effectiveness (rs = 0.053; rs > 0.5) in elevating the teaching quality at 'Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal. This study underscores the importance of IT-based tools in addressing maladaptive behavior issues and fortifying teacher aptitude amidst challenging circumstances, with implications extending to diverse educational settings. Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Human Capital on the performance of employees responsible for promotions within an innovative online food ordering platform. Utilizing a quantitative approach, a saturated sample of 88 promotion section employees was surveyed. The findings, analyzed through simple regression, reveal a significant positive correlation between Human Capital and employee performance in promotions. The study underscores the importance of focused training and development initiatives for these employees, providing valuable insights for platform management seeking to optimize promotional efforts and overall company performance. Highlight: The study examines the impact of Human Capital on the promotional performance of employees in an online food platform, highlighting the critical role of workforce capabilities. A comprehensive survey of 88 promotion section employees offers insights into the relationship between Human Capital and promotional effectiveness, emphasizing empirical evidence. Abstract

This qualitative study examines the impact of policymakers on the enhancement of the Kudu State Vocational High School library's performance. Primary data was gathered through in-depth interviews with key informants including the Principal, Head of Library, and Vice Principals I, II, and III, while secondary data included information and visuals of the library. The findings reveal that policymakers play a crucial role in creating a conducive physical and non-physical environment for the library. The physical infrastructure and technological resources are found to be satisfactory, while non-physical aspects prioritize staff responsibilities. A systematic monitoring system, including performance appraisals by the school principal, is in place, alongside appropriate rewards. Overall, there exists a culture of fairness, safety, and harmonious relationships between library staff, teachers, and leadership. This study highlights the instrumental role of policymakers in optimizing library facilities and management, with potential implications for educational institutions worldwide. Highlight: Policymaker Influence: This study underscores the significant impact of policymakers in shaping the performance and environment of a vocational high school library, emphasizing their crucial role in educational infrastructure development. Abstract

This study addresses the need for improved orientation among Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo (UMSIDA) students, particularly newcomers unfamiliar with the layout of Campus 2. Leveraging the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) Method, researchers developed and compared Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR) applications, utilizing Faculty of Science and Technology brochures to render 3D representations of UMSIDA Campus 2 buildings. An online questionnaire garnered feedback from 25 UMSIDA students, with 88% expressing approval for the AR-based introduction application. To better assess its impact on prospective student enrollment, PMB Team members were consulted, resulting in 66.7% favoring the MR application for its enhanced engagement. Notably, both AR and MR applications were deemed equally useful by 66.7% of respondents. Consequently, these applications will be integrated into a comprehensive solution for further evaluation and optimization. This research underscores the potential of immersive technologies in enhancing campus navigation and highlights the significance of user preference in educational applications of augmented and mixed reality. Highlight: Utilizing MDLC Method: The study leverages the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) Method for the development and comparison of Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR) applications, targeting improved campus orientation for UMSIDA students. User Preference in Immersive Technologies: Feedback from UMSIDA students and PMB Team members revealed a preference for the Mixed Reality (MR) application, emphasizing the significance of user preference in educational applications of augmented and mixed reality. Integration for Enhanced Effectiveness: The AR and MR applications will be integrated into a comprehensive solution, highlighting the commitment to ongoing evaluation and optimization to further enhance campus navigation for UMSIDA students. Abstract

In the realm of online commerce, product photography serves as a vital means of introduction and presentation for sellers, significantly impacting the purchasing decisions of potential buyers. High-quality and ethically crafted product photos are not only beneficial to sellers but also uphold principles of transparency and fairness in accordance with Islamic economic ethics. This community engagement initiative aimed to enhance foundational knowledge regarding ethical product photography, ultimately ensuring that product images accurately represent the goods being sold, thus avoiding potential misunderstandings that may arise from misleading visuals in advertisements. The methodology involved educating participants about the concept of "gharar" (ambiguity) as it pertains to product images used in advertising. The findings indicate that participants gained a better understanding of both photography techniques and the ethical implications of ambiguity, thereby contributing to more honest and transparent online trading practices. This research underscores the importance of aligning e-commerce practices with ethical principles and highlights the potential for improved consumer trust and satisfaction in online marketplaces.
