Abstract

Pancasila as the foundation of Indonesian’ national philosophy has been variously interpreted and sometimes even manipulated by political actors and society who take refuge behind the legitimacy of the Pancasila as national ideology. The transition from the New Order era to the Reformation era has had an impact as a result of the Reformation movement by giving rise to various views that sometimes weaken the role of the Pancasila ideology and can threaten the unity of the Indonesia. Pancasila as a subject needs to be properly taught to the citizens. Teaching Pancasila as a part of citizenship education can be started from an early age so that all citizens would behave and live according to its values. The library as a means of providing information has an important role in supporting lifelong education, including providing and disseminating resources about Pancasila.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that the tendency of students to have lack of interest in utilizing the IAIN Tulungagung library. This can be seem from the uncertain visitor’s library statistics, where visitor statistics show an increase at the beginning of the new school year but it will decrease when entering the even semester. Of course there are many factors that cause student interest to use the library. The focus of the research in this paper is as follows; (1) How does the impact of trust in generating students’ interest to take advantage of the IAIN Tulungagung library?; (2) How is the impact of service quality in generating students’ interest in utilizing the IAIN Tulungagung library?; (3) What is the impact of the availability of information in generating students’ interest in utilizing the IAIN Tulungagung library?. This type of research was qualitative research. In this study the data collection techniques used were the observation, interviews and documentation in order to obtain data, while the data analysis used data presentation and conclusion drawing. The research found that for the impact of trust could increase students’ interest in utilizing the library from the aspect of integrity. Whereas in terms of service quality that could give an impact in generating student interest utilizing the library was from the aspect of tangibles (physical evidence) and from the aspect of emphaty. As for the impact of the availability of information that could increase student interest in utilizing the Tulungagung IAIN library were convenience and relevant aspects.

Abstract

ENGLISH This study aims to determine the periodical collection collection activities. The location of this study was conducted at the Regional Library and Archives Service Office of West Java Province. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with the technique of collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation studies. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the activities of developing periodical collections in the Library and Archives Office of West Java Province ", namely the stages of collection development which include analysis of user needs, policy making, development of periodical collections, selection, procurement, weeding and evaluation have been carried out by Disusipda Province but not all stages have been carried out optimally, so there still needs to be some improvement in several stages of the collection development. INDONESIA Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kegiatan pengembangan koleksi terbitan berkala. Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan Teknik pengmpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa Kegiatan pengembangan koleksi terbitan berkala di Dinas Perpustakaan Dan Kearsipan Propinsi Jawa Barat” yaitu tahapan-tahapan pengembangan koleksi yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan pengguna, pembuatan kebijakan pengembangan koleksi terbitan berkala, seleksi, pengadaan, penyiangan dan evaluasi telah dilakukan oleh pihak Disusipda Provinsi namun belum semua tahapan dilakukan secara optimal, sehinga masih perlu ada beberapa penyempurnaan dalam beberapa tahapan pengembangan koleksi.

Abstract

The magazine management model is a new product in managing scientific magazines that can be applied in all Madrasah Aliyah in Indonesia with manual based and will be developed again based on automation. This study begins with a preliminary study through a survey which shows that the scholarly magazines that were subscribed or derived from the prizes at the Madrasah and Aliyah libraries have not been processed with standards. The research design used is a development method that aims to make an effective product and not test a theory. In the first phase, exploration of scientific magazine management data will be conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Library in Malang and the drafting of guidelines for the model of scientific magazine management model which will produce the draft model of scientific magazine management in Madrasah Aliyah Library Malang Raya The results of research in the first phase of the first year is made a model of scientific magazine management based on information technology that includes: inventory of magazines, catalogs of scientific magazines, magazine scientific index, scientific magazine holding list model the management of science-based scientific magazines by modifying the open source SLIM Akasia software. In the second phase of the second year will be attempted installation of the latest installation of the results of research on libraries Madrasah Aliyah East Java.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the motivation of managers in establishing community reading parks. This research was conducted at the Community Reading Park in West Bandung Regency. The method used in the study uses a qualitative approach to the type of phenomenological research. The technique of collecting data is done through observation, interviews and through library research. Based on the results of the study, it was revealed that the motives of the manager's goal in establishing TBM were to facilitate the community through TBM, increase public interest in reading and to provide facilities that could benefit the community. As for the motives for the reason for the management to establish TBM is due to lack of information or knowledge of the community, to preserve the reading culture, increase children's knowledge, to limit uncontrolled child association, high rates of illiteracy, and still lack public awareness of the importance of education.

Abstract

This paper was written with the aim of knowing the knowledge sharing activities carried out by the Sunan Kalijaga UIN Library to help develop the school library. The method that will be used is the best practice method. At present the condition of school libraries in Indonesia is still a concern. Some of the reasons that cause school libraries have not been able to carry out their duties and functions properly are the lack of understanding or comprehension of the essence of the library as an infrastructure in providing information, both from the principal, teachers, and students; library managers are not optimal in providing services, especially in order to meet the information needs of users; and the communication between the school library and the user community is poorly maintained. Facing various obstacles that are still faced by many school libraries, it is our duty to jointly build and develop school libraries to support better teaching and learning processes. Based on this, the Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga also tries to help develop school libraries by doing knowledge sharing with the school library. The conclusion of this study is that there are changes that occur after the implementation of knowledge sharing programs, including the improvement of libraries in terms of increased attention from the leadership towards library development, library space conditions, teacher and librarian cooperation, library collections, level of student visits to libraries and librarian creativity.

Abstract

This study wants to reveal the utilization of the East Java State Islamic Religious College (PTKIN) repository in the preparation of student final assignments (theses and dissertations). The researcher used a quantitative descriptive approach in the form of a case study, through the documentary method evaluating the statistical menu in each repository for the data of repository utilization. While the repository role data for the preparation of the final assignment, researchers took samples with proporsive sampling techniques based on certain criteria, which is intended for those who are preparing final assignments and completing their studies in 2018. The results of this study is the level of utilization of the Institutional repository of East Java PTKIN is generally good. The UINSA repository which has 18,000 titles, is the repository with the highest number of accesses which is 5,722,154 accesses or 312 times the number of titles. While the UINMA Repository which separates the management of lecturers' work with the students’ in different repositories is in the 2nd place after UINSA. The smallest access of repository is in IAIN Ponorogo. The role of the repository in the preparation of the final assignments can be seen in 2 (two) forms, that are access and quoting. Access to the repository in order to find out research topics related to the field of research being studied by the respondent and previous research and the results. While in terms of citing reference sources in the preparation of the final assignment, there were 60% of respondents claiming to have quoted more than 3 times from the repository. Whereas from the level of popularity, the UINSA repository was at the top, and was accessed by respondents in all East Java PTKIN.

Abstract

ENGLISH Management can be interpreted as an effort to achieve the goals of educational institutions by utilizing the resources and the potential possessed by the institution. The management process includes planning, organizing, implementing and controlling. The stages of repository planning start from banchmarking to universities that have already carried out repositories, acilities and infrastructure planning, human resource planning, making implementation procedures, and carrying out repository content management. Organizing human resources managing repositories is done by forming a special section that handles repositories and organizing collections using standard Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) subjects. The repository service consists of 5 (five) services namely user request service, deposit service, self upload service, and lecturer and student upload verification service. Control and evaluation are conducted periodically every 6 (six) months and incidentally. INDONESIA Manajemen dapat diartikan sebagai usaha untuk mencapai tujuan lembaga pendidikan dengan memanfaatkan sumber daya dan potensi yang dimiliki oleh lembaga. Proses manajemen meliputi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan pengawasan. Tahapan perencanaan repository dimulai dari banchmarking (studi banding) ke perguruan tinggi yang sudah melaksanakan repository, perencanaan sarana dan prasarana, perencanaan sumber daya manusia, membuat prosedur pelaksanaan, dan melakukan manajemen konten repository. Pengorganisasian sumber daya manusia pengelola repository dilakukan dengan membentuk bagian khusus yang menangani repository, sedangkan pengorganisasian pengorganisasian koleksi menggunakan standart subyek Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC). Pelaksanaan layanan repository terdiri dari 5 (lima) layanan yaitu layanan permintaan user repository, layanan deposit karya ilmiah, layanan upload mandiri karya ilmiah, layanan verifikasi upload karya ilmiah mahasiswa, dan layanan verifikasi upload karya ilmiah dosen. Sedangkan prosedur kontrol dan evaluasi dilakukan dengan cara kontrol dan evaluasi secara berkala setiap 6 (enam) bulan sekali dan kontrol dan evaluasi yang bersifat insidental.

Abstract

ENGLISH Library management is inseparable from the obstacles and problems that occur. For this reason, an internal communication strategy is needed in managing the library of State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Tulungagung. The purpose of this study is to describe the internal communication strategy in library management of State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Tulungagung. The research used qualitative methods. The result of the research include four factors, first the comunication is done by openness. Second, communication is done in a family way. Third, communication is done by equalizing social status. Fourth, communication carried out because of responsibility. The result of this research are expected to be able to contribute to science, especially in the field of library management and provide benefits for researchers. Furthermore, as a reference material for scientific work that has a focus there with this research. INDONESIA Pengelolaan perpustakaan tidak terlepas dari hambatan dan masalah yang terjadi. Untuk itu, dibutuhkannya adanya strategi komunikasi internal dalam pengelolaan Perpustakaan Institut Agama Islam Negeri Tulungagung. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsikan strategi komunikasi internal dalam pengelolaan Perpustakaan Institut Agama Islam Negeri Tulungagung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian meliputi empat faktor, yaitu Pertama. Komunikasi yang dilakukan dengan cara keterbukaan. Kedua. Komunikasi yang dilakukan dengan cara kekeluargaan. Ketiga. Komunikasi yang dilakukan dengan cara menyetarakan status sosial. Keempat. Komunikasi yang dilakukan karena tanggungjawab. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberikan kontribusi bagi ilmu pengetahuan, terutama dalam bidang pengelolaan keperpustakaan dan memberikan manfaat bagi peneliti. Selanjutnya, sebagai bahan referensi untuk karya ilmiah yang memiliki fokus yang sama dengan penelitian ini.

Abstract

ENGLISH The purpose of this study is to find out what sosial media and strategies are used by the UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya Library in an effort to spread service promotion. As well as knowing students' perceptions about the effectiveness of the use of sosial media as a means of spreading service promotion at the UIN Sunan Ampel Library. Utilization of sosial media in the promotion of services, services, and library products can be said to be very effective and efficient. This is because online media with easy access wherever and whenever are very popular with young people. Information and promotions provided through online/sosial media will be immediately conveyed to users while responding at the same time. This feature like like or comment makes sosial media more attractive and liked by users (friend/follower). Followers can provide suggestions, responses, proposals and even consultancy librarians via private messages. The research method uses a descriptive quantitative approach that collects data using observations and interviews to sosial media accounts and account managers (Administrators) and distributing questionnaires to followers/friends of sosial media. The data obtained were then processed and analyzed using the linkert scale and the simple formula p=f/nX100% and consulted into the category table (bad, medium, good, very good). The results of the study are based on the calculation of the total questionnaire distributed to one hundred visitors obtained a figure of 2831 from the total possible that can be obtained at 3300. This figure is then entered into the formula p=2831/3300X100% and the results obtained by 85.7% which means it has a very good category. So, sosial media is very good / very effective to be used as a means of library promotion at the UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya Library. INDONESIA Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui media sosial apa saja dan stategi yang digunakan Perpustakaan UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya dalam upaya penyebaran promosi layanan. Sekaligus mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa tentang efektifitas pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana penyebaran promosi layanan di Perpustakaan UIN Sunan Ampel. Pemanfaatan media sosial dalam promosi jasa, layanan, dan produk perpustakaan bisa dikatakan sangat efektif dan efisien. Hal ini dikarenakan media online dengan kemudahan akses dimananpun dan kapanpun sangat digemari oleh generasi muda. Informasi dan promosi yang diberikan melalui media online/sosial akan dengan segera tersampaikan kepada pengguna sekaligus memberikan respon dalam waktu yang bersamaan. Fitur berupa like atau komentar inilah yag membuat media sosial menjadi lebih atraktif dan disukai oleh pengguna (friend/follower). Follower bisa memberikan saran, tanggapan, usulan bahkan konsultasi kepustakawanan melalui pesan pribadi. Adapun metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif yang pengumpulan datanya menggunakan observasi dan interview kepada akun media sosial dan pengelola akun (Administrator) dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada para follower/friend media sosial. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya diolah dan dianalisa menggunakan skala linkert dan rumus sederhana p=f/nX100% dan dikonsultasikan kedalam tabel kategori (buruk, sedang, baik, baik sekali). Hasil penelitian berdasarkan hitungan total angket yang disebar kepada seratus pemustaka diperoleh angka 2831 dari kemungkinan total yang bisa diperoleh sebesar 3300. Angka ini seterusnya dimasukkan ke dalam rumus p=2831/3300X100% dan diperoleh hasil sebesar 85.7% yang berarti memiliki kategori baik sekali. Dengan demikian, media sosial baik sekali/efektif sekali digunakan sebagai sarana promosi perpustakaan di Perpustakaan UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya.
