Abstract

Shrimp crackers are snacks made from tapioca flour and shrimp. Crackers also have variations of colour, shape, size, smell, taste, crispness, thickness, or nutritional value. Some of the production of ready-to-eat shrimp crackers is made by home industry that still use traditional equipment to reduce the oil content in the cracker. This affects the quality of the crackers which can cause the crackers not durable and smell it is caused by high oil level due to not optimal draining. Therefore this study aims to design a prototype of oil spinner machine for shrimp crackers equipped with an electric motor, a 4x4 keypad as a timer setting, a current sensor and a voltage sensor to calculate the cost of using electric power, the HC-SR04 sensor as a sensor that detects the liquid level in the container, LCD as a monitor, and a buzzer that functions as an alarm when the engine is off and when the oil container is full which will be connected to the arduino uno microcontroller. After testing with different times, the slicing process was succedeed in reducing the oil content in shrimp crackers by 21.55 % and the cost of using electric power on machine was Rp. 0.8444,- per minute and its also equipped with an oil reservoir that can hold an oil level as high as 3 cm so that the machine is more ergonomic that can improve the quality of shrimp cracker production.

Abstract

In reality, the electric power system is run by combining several production units to commit to meeting changes in load demand at each operating time. Apart from that, it also takes into account efforts to reduce overall costs while maintaining the specified technical limits. The general thing that is often done to achieve this condition is carried out with an economical operational approach which leads to minimizing operational costs. During 24 hour operations, the model that is often used is Dynamic Economic Operation (DEO) which takes into account changes in load demand over a 24 hour seven day period. This study uses the IEEE-62 bus system as a model, which is optimized using the Orca Algorithm. The load flexibility pattern is based on the effect of charging integration for Electric Vehicles (EV). The simulation results show that the Orca algorithm solves problems with fast iteration and provides the best results. The Orca algorithm provides good levels of convergence, power output and overall operational costs. EV distances and routes also have varying driving characteristics and varying power utilization. In terms of travel modes, which include one way and two trips, it has a mobility of 208,000 EVs, with respective distributions for working/business/study, service/shopping, leisure time, and other purposes.

Abstract

Fakfak Regency, West Papua Province has several rivers and waterfalls that have the potential to produce electrical energy. One of the areas in Fakfak Regency that has abundant water resource potential is Kayuni District, Fakfak Regency. So far, the use of this river and waterfall has been as a water source for villagers in Kayuni District and as one of the main tourist destinations in Fakfak Regency. Through this research, it is hoped that this resource can be developed for other potentials, one of which is for Micro Hydro Power Plants (PLTMH). Research is carried out by conducting surveys and direct measurements where the results of the measurements will be calculated to determine the potential for river flow discharge and potential for electricity generation. The results of measurements and calculations showed that the average flow of the Ubadari river was 4,674 m3/second, the effective fall height (Heff) of the flow was 4 m. With these results, it is estimated that the electrical power produced will be 111,402 kW.

Abstract

PLC practicum is needed to support electrical engineering graduate students as a provision of experience operating PLC. To support the needs of PLC trainers in the electrical engineering laboratory at Universitas Islam Lamongan (Unisla), it is necessary to conduct a study that exploit the Arduino Uno as a control controller by making a prototype of a simple PLC trainer board based on the Arduino Uno using out seal Studio software. On the testing tool, the author uses an example of a logic gate ladder which then the ladder diagram will be created in the studio out seal software then will be uploaded to the Arduino Uno PLC and will be run on the trainer. In the mechanism, this tool uses an Arduino Uno microcontroller as a control center, an opt coupler circuit as a voltage separator between the input voltage and voltage on the Arduino, a relay opt coupler circuit as a voltage separator and an Arduino output voltage amplifier which is then flowed to the load. Switches, push buttons, and infrared sensors are used as examples of PLC input sensors. Red, yellow, green lights and 220v buzzers are used as output indicators as well as load examples. Conclusion on the experiment Arduino Uno PLC logic gate can work normally when operated

Abstract

In general, today's technology is made automatically. Starting from car alarem, to automatic parking. This very rapid technological development makes humans create equipment that can minimize human activities.The etching process can also be called the Printed Circuit Board screen printing process, which is the creation of paths or layouts that will connect between electrical components. PCB Etching Machine is a tool used to dissolve metal parts that are not designed on a plain PCB board by using a mixture of chemical solutions, namely ferrite cloride. The manual PCB process usually takes a long time and has a risk of being exposed to ferric chloride solution for users. This article discusses how to make an automatic etching machine tool with a Microcontroller module that has a camera feature to monitor the results of editing on a copper board. With the time method as the key to perfect results during the checking process. For as a drive, namely using a Servo Motor. The microcontroller used on this machine is ESP32 Camera based on Internet of things Telegram as a Data Base media. For software design using fritzing software applications. The success of PCB etching machines in this study is seen from tool testing ranging from voltage testing, microcontroller testing, real time a clock testing and Internet Of Things system testing. Made a description of success, this etching machine can be used and said to be successful. In conclusion, a machine or tool made with the latest version if not researched, designed and tested it cannot be successful.

Abstract

The Industrial Electronics Practicum is an advanced learning process complementing theoretical knowledge and is mandatory for every student in the Energy Conversion Engineering (TKE) Study Program at Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic (PNUP). Nevertheless, its implementation is often suboptimal due to the lack of practicum modules available in the TKE Laboratory. To address this issue, this research aims to design and create a practicum module for a controlled single-phase rectifier, filling the gap in the TKE Laboratory's offerings. The design carried out in this research begins with thyristor selection, control circuit design, mechanical design, and power circuit design. After the design is carried out, it continues with manufacturing and assembly, tool testing, and data analysis. In the practical module testing, this controlled single-phase rectifier uses half waves, with a resistive load (R). The test results of the module that has been created show that this practical module can operate well and produce an output waveform that can be said to be in accordance with theory.

Abstract

This development research aims to find out the results of the development of the android-based Inventor 2023 e-module as mobile learning for the Mechanical Engineering Subject at the Vocational High School level. The development of the production model used is the development of the Dick and Carey model. The results of the validity test data were obtained for R.Count all of the 15 items of questionnaire statement items on all variables in this study yielded values for R.Count > R.Table where the R.Table value was 0.361, so the indicators in these variables can be called valid. For reliability testing, it has a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient that is greater than 0.70 which is equal to 0.818 so that the variables from the questionnaire are reliable. The results of the trial data obtained for content experts were 90.33%, media experts were 84.44%, design experts were 91.61%, peer trials were 90.21%, small group trials were 91.73%, medium group trials of 92.13%, and large/field group trials of 90.04%. With these data, the Inventor 2023 e-module that has been developed falls into very good criteria and is very suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

The development of renewable energy in Indonesia has grown quite rapidly, one of which is PLTS. With this new power plant, it is hoped that the excessive use of fossil fuels will be reduced. in 2021 there a new PLTS operating in one of the universities, i.e at the Malang National Institute of Technology with a capacity of 0.5 MWp. The PLTS works on-grid into the Singosari distribution system through the Karangploso feeder so that the addition of a new generator of 0.5 MWp can cause changes in the voltage profile. the voltage profile itself is the voltage condition to be at the nominal voltage either when there is a change in load conditions or when power losses occur in the line with a standard allowable voltage profile of 0.95>V> 1.05 pu. The study used in this research is a power flow study with the Newton-Raphson method. This method is used to calculate the voltage profile on each bus of the power system either during the base case condition or when the system is integrated with PLTS 0.5 MWp. so that with the addition of a new power plant with a capacity of 0.5 MWp, it is necessary to evaluate the addition of a new generator with a capacity of 0.5 MWp to the voltage profile in the Singosari distribution system through the Karangploso feeder.

Abstract

Fires are very detrimental, ranging from loss of property to even loss of life. Fires can be detected when the fire has grown or smoke has billowed out of buildings. Urban areas have densely populated housing so that it has the potential to cause problems in the event of a fire. These fires can be caused by by factors of human negligence and natural factors. Such as the occurrence of short-circuited electricity, negligence in cooking, negligence in burning garbage, and others. Therefore, we need a tool that can detect the presence of an early source of fire so that it does not spread. The problem that often occurs is when a fire occurs, the fire department often arrives late, so there are many losses due to the fire. And the losses can be material and economic. Therefore we need a system that works to control the fire automatically and to extinguish the fire in every house. This study aims to design and build an efficient and affordable prototype. Which later can be applied to housing or warehouses. This prototype is designed using NodeMCU ESP8266 as the main controller, Flame sensor can respond to infrared light beams on the modulation spectrum from 5 to 30 cycles per second, Web Thinger.Io as a server, data storage on the internet of things , and notification of fire in the Blynk application. This system uses a flame sensor based on the Node MCU ESP8266 microcontroller and is equipped with a Buzzer for Alarm and a Mini Water Pump to automatically spray water if a fire is detected. This system utilizes the Blynk Application as an interface to provide notification information about a fire to find out notifications if a fire is detected. And if a fire is detected, it will automatically get a notification from the Blynk application on the "There is Fire" Smartphone and the buzzer will automatically sound and the mini water pump will automatically spray water. In this study, the tool can automatically send Safe and Fire notifications using the blynk application on a smartphone with a delay of < 3 seconds.
