Jurnal Bioshell bertujuan untuk menjembatani kesenjangan antara penelitian dan praktik, memberikan informasi, ide dan pendapat, selain ujian kritis kemajuan penelitian, pengajaran, pembelajaran biologi, Biologi, dan Pembelajaran IPA. Melalui cakupan kebijakan dan pengembangan kurikulum, hasil penelitian terbaru tentang pengajaran, pembelajaran dan penilaian biologi dikedepankan. Jurnal Bioshell menerima dan menerbitkan artikel dalam bentuk penelitian dan kajian (artikel ilmiah) di bidang pendidikan biologi dan pemanfaatan penelitian biologi dalam proses belajar mengajar. Semua artikel diterbitkan dalam bahasa Indonesia dan menjalani proses penilaian sejawat. Ruang lingkup Jurnal Bioshell difokuskan pada penelitian / review pendidikan biologi, Biologi, dan Pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

Achievement of targeted learning in the course must be in accordance with the competence of graduates specified in the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI), so that to make it happen required learning methods that can build the competence. The result of observation, the students are still less uniform in the mastery of proven concepts in the discussion and question and answer are not many who convey the idea of understanding. Based on the observations need to apply Reciprocal Teaching (RT) through Lesson study (LS). The purpose of this research is to know the improvement of students' cognitive learning outcomes and the implementation of RT teaching methods through LS. The sample used in this research is the students of State University of Malang Semester III Offering C-C and C-F with the number of students 31 people, consisting of 3 men and 28 women. Application of Reciprocal Teaching through LS is implemented for 3 LS cycles, each cycle consisting of plan, do and see stages. The results showed that the learning of Reciprocal Teaching through LS able to increase the average of cognitive learning result of student equal to 84,35 with 100% classical completeness. Abstract

Development is the main activity of the educational process. Reseaches conducted observations in class VII SMP Al Maufi Tempurejo and obtained data about 65% show the value of student < 70. The reseaches want to know the usec comic media through the model of learning CIRC to improve learning outcomes on ecosystem material. The type of research used is classroom action research (CAR). The procedure used is the cycle model. Based on the results of classical completeness of students in first cycle on 76,6% and the second cyrcle on 91%. While the results of student repetition in first cycle obtained an average of 71,60 and in second cycle of 80,29%. It proves that student learning outcomes can increase with the use of media comic through the learning model CIRC.

Abstract

Plants have a variety of function one of them as a medicine. Ageratum conyzoides L. plant efficacious as antimicrobial. This study aims to determine the effectiveness the leaf juice of Ageratum conyzoides L. on the growth of Trichophyton rubrum fungus. This research was conducted invitro using dilution method and hole method, and using Randomized Complete Design with three repetitions. The results will be analyzed using Anova Test, followed by Duncan test. Based on the results of analysis it is known that the leaf juice of Ageratum conyzoides L has the inhibitory power to the growth of Trichophyton rubrum. Minimum constraint concentration (KHM) of Ageratum conyzoides L leaf extract on Trichophyton rubrum growth was present at concentration of 40% with mean diameter of 1.61 cm resistance zone. So it can be concluded that the leaf juice of Ageratum conyzoides L is effective against Trichophyton rubrum growth, because it can inhibit its growth.Keywords: Ageratum conyzoides L., effectiveness, MIC, Trichophyton rubrum

Abstract

The research aims to test the validity of attitude evaluation instrument in order to measure the students’ learning attitude in line with their positive respons to science instructionalbased on Discovery Learning Model. The type of the develpment research uses Thiagarajan 4D model development research design. The attitude evaluation instruments are validated by the theoritical expert and science teacher as the practical expert before being used experimentally to class VIIAstudents of Al – Maufijunior high school Tempurejo, Jember regency. The validation results of the attitude evaluation instruments developed have 3,58 score or categoried sufficenty valid and effective used to instructional process to arise curiosity, honesty, diligent, and critical attitudes. The effectivity of the instruments is proven by the students’ positive respons score up to 90, 63%.Keywords: evaluation instrument, attitude, Discovery Learning Method.

Abstract

The development of e-book media by integrating conservation education materials with biology learning which is aims to determine the validity of e book media with the application of flip creator-based conversation education on biology learning. The research procedure used is research and development which begins with research and information gathering in the area BKSDA III of Jember- BBKSDA Jatim, Meru Betiri National Park and MA Ma’arif of Ambulu. Testing product design 1 to get validation value and category 58,5% (valid enough) for conversation educational material expert, 75,4% (valid) for biology subject matter experts and 73,6% (valid) for media expert. Product design 2 to get validation value and category 90,8% (very valid) for conversation educational material expert, 93,9% (very valid) for biology subject matter expert and 92% (very valid) for media expert. Preliminary field testing in average percentages with criteria of 87,4% (very good) for students responses and 79,2% (very good) for teacher response. Operational field testing in average percentages with criteria of 74,8% (good) for students responses and 93,8% (very good) for teachers response. The results in above can be concluded that the product is designed feasible in applying  in  biology  learning  with  very  valid  based  on  validation,  both  from  students responses and very good from teacher responses.

Abstract

Pepaya merupakan buah yang tidak asing lagi bagi masyarakat Indonesia. Tapi, pengolahannya masih sangat terbatas. Hanya sebagai konsumsi ketika buahnya sudah masak saja. Hal yang sama juga terjadi di Desa Plalangan. Padahal buah pepaya disana merupakan komoditas yang cukup menjanjikan apabila bisa mengelola secara kreatif. Oleh karena itu mahasiswa KKN Universitas Islam Jember mempunyai inisiatif untuk mengenalkan pembuatan abon dari bahan buah pepaya, dengan harapan dapat menginspirasi masyarakat desa agar dapat mengolah komoditas yang ada secara kreatif. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk mewujudkan “Program Satu Desa Satu Produk”. Sasaran program ini adalah masyarakat Desa Plalangan. Metode yang digunakan: 1) sosialisasi, 2) pelatihan, dan 3) evaluasi hasil. Abstract

Pembelajaran merupakan kegiatan utama dari proses pendidikan. Peneliti melakukan observasi MTs. Se kecamatan Randuagung dan diperoleh data 14,29% menyimpang,21,42% cukup menyimpang, 14,29% kurang menyimpang dan 0% tidak menyimpang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat penyimpangan konsep perilaku siswa di kecamatan Randuagung. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Prosedur yang digunakan adalah model siklus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, analisis serta diskusi penelitian maka diperoleh data pengintegrasian soft skill tentang sex education dalam pembelajaran biologi sistem reproduksi sebesar 85,71% terintegrasi,11,43% cukup terintegrasi, 2,14% kurang terintegrasi dan 0,72% tidak terintegrasi. Hal ini terbukti setiap guru dalam memberi pelajaran atau materi khususnya pelajjaran biologi dan aqidah akhlak setiknya diselingi dengan nasehat atau bimbingan yang mengarah ke hal yang positif.Kata kunci : Perilaku seksual, soft skillls, sex education

Abstract

Learning is a principal activity of education process. Researchers conducted observations in class VIII MTs SA Miftahus Saadah Sukorambi and obtained data around 85% which shows student score  70. This research aimed to determine the Increasing of Student study Results in studying the digestive system of humans by youtube media. The Type of the research used is a classroom action research (CAR). The procedure used is the cycle model. Based on reseach results,  The percentage of student learning result in cycle I is 75% and a cycle II is 85%. The result of daily test of the student in cycle I is 78,85. While in the cycle II  is 86,65. This case shows that the result of student learning can increase by you tube media for certain main idea. Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase of science learning result. The subjects of the study were all students of class XI. Data collection techniques use tests, observations, and documentation. In the implementation of this research, researchers use two cycles consisting of stages: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Analysis data in this research using qualitative approach.            Learning takes two cycles, learning in cycle I and learning in cycle II. Both have media and method equations, but differ in learning materials. In the first cycle obtained the group activity completeness number that is equal to 75%. On the second cycle progressed well with the obtained figures mask activity group that is equal to 88. Activity of this group as a support to improve student learning outcomes.            Based on the results of classroom action research can be concluded Learning video media with Problem Based Learning model can improve student learning outcomes in materials science waste management subjects. This can be seen from the completeness of learning resultthat are classically achieved at each end of the cycle. In the first cycle obtained classical completeness number of 85%. Different with cycle II, in this cycle there is an increase of 90%. Ofthe total students of learning result already Reached the KKM that is >70.Keywords: Learning result, group activities, and Problem Based Learning

Abstract

Kedelai Edamame mengandung protein, senyawa organik seperti asam folat, mangan, isoflavones, betekaroten dan suklosa. Jenis-jenis olahan Edamame yang sudah ada adalah susu Edamame, kripik Edamame dan Edamame kering. Salah satu olahan yang dapat dibuat adalah selai yang biasanya dibuat dari bahan dasar buah-buah sebagai pengentalnya. Dilihat dari manfaatnya kedelai Edamame sangat bermanfaat bagi kesehatan maka dari itu  dibuat  SELADA  MEKAR  KAMANDANU  (Selai Edamame Kartun Kaya Manfaat dan Nutrisi). Selai Edamame ini bertujuan untuk membantu memenuhi asupan gizi pada anak melalui produk olahan pangan yang disukai oleh anak-anak kemudian sebagai metode konsumsi baru bagi anak yang tidak suka mengonsumsi sayur, meningkatkan nilai guna dan nilai ekonomis Edamame  serta menghasilkan produk selai terbaru. Pembuatan produk selai Edamame ini cara membuatnya sama seperti pembuatan selai buah seperti biasanya hanya saja bahannya yang berbeda. Pembuatan selai Edamame menggunakan kedelai Edamame yang sudah tidak layak eksport agar nilai jual nya tetap terjaga, dan juga membantu masyarakat yang ekonominya rendah karena selai buah pada umumnya harganya mahal. Produk olahan ini di pasarkan di warung, bazar, media online dan dijajahkan pada anak-anak dan masyarakat. Produk SELADA MEKAR KAMANDANO ini dipasarkan seharga Rp. 15.000/botol. Produk yang dihasilkan dalam satu periode masa produksi adalah 800 kemasan. Dengan biaya produksi sebesar Rp.5.500.000 diperoleh keuntungan dalam satu periode sebesar Rp.995.000. Pembuatan SELADA MEKAR KAMANDANO ini menumbuhkan kreativitas mahasiswa dalam bidang berwirausaha dan membuka lapangan pekerjaan baru.
