Abstract

Objective. The purpose of non-verbal communication in a digital advertisement is to complete the informational delivery in the commercial itself. The utilization of certain circumstances in an advertisement cannot be isolated from the meaning of non-verbal language. With the help of semiotic analysis, this study seeks to explain the significance of non-verbal cues in two social media-sourced commercials for smartphones. Materials and Methods. This study's design employs a qualitative method for gathering data from research participants in the form of visual media from digital social media advertising for marketing tools. The study's objects are nonverbal behaviors like as facial expressions, gestures, body language, movement, touch, and look that can be seen in digital commercials. The purpose of non-verbal communication in a digital advertisement is to complete the informational delivery in the commercial itself. The utilization of certain circumstances in an advertisement cannot be isolated from the meaning of non-verbal language. With the help of semiotic analysis, this study seeks to explain the significance of non-verbal cues in two social media-sourced commercials for smartphones. Results. Semiotic rules can be used to interpret nonverbal language, but this interpretation needs to be backed by verbal language or other pertinent data. Conclusion. Semiotic meaning can be used to interpret how nonverbal communication is used in advertising. However, this needs to be backed up with more pertinent information and either spoken or visually explained in great detail.

Abstract

Objektif. Kejaksaan Negeri Kota Kediri belum memiliki sistem untuk mengelola barang bukti dan barang rampasan. Selama ini Kejaksaan Negeri Kota Kediri masih menggunakan cara yang sederhana untuk mengelola data barang bukti dan barang rampasan yaitu dengan cara mencatat pada buku besar. Akibatnya, petugas pengelola mengalami kesulitan dalam memanajemen data barang bukti dan barang rampasan. Material and Metode. Dalam penelitian ini sistem yang akan rirancang merupakan sistem informasi barang bukti dan barang rampasan berbasis Website dengan output QrCode dan juga laporan bulanan. Menggunakan metode dalam mengembangkan sistem ini adalah model Watefall dengan System Development Life Cycle. Sistem ini dibuat menggunakan bahasa PHP (PHP: Hypertext Prepocessor) dengan framework Codeigniter (CI) versi ke 3. Bahasa pemodelan yang digunakan pada perancangan sistem adalah Data Flow Diagram (DFD) dan Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD). Pengujian sistem menggunakan Blackbox Testing. Hasil. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah sistem dapat digunakan untuk mengelola data barang bukti dan barang rampasan. Informasi yang didapat pada sistem ini berupa laporan bulanan dan QrCode. Kesimpulan. Sistem Informasi Barang Bukti dan Barang Rampasan sangat diperlukan untuk mempercepat kinerja petugas pengelola barang bukti dan barang rampasan.

Abstract

The process of selling palm fruit is still manual, only relying on the interaction media between the palm oil platform owner and oil palm farmers directly, while the farmers who will sell must come to the palm oil platform, for price information is still known manually only when the sale of palm oil is carried out and data processing unorganized palm oil sales. The solution to this problem is to build a mobile-based palm oil platform information system using the android studio framework with the java language. The purpose of this system is to avoid price monopoly by oil palm platform owners and to offer an information system as a solution for open communication information between oil palm farmers and oil palm platform owners. Furthermore, increasing the competitiveness of open and healthy businesses among palm oil platforms. The expected result is a palm oil platform information system to assist oil palm sales activities in providing information to oil palm farmers and this system can be accessed at any time using the internet network.

Abstract

Objective. The preparation of a general journal in the Mie Cruwell Wlingi business which is still simple by using manual recording on books, all expenditure transactions are still recorded on paper that is at risk of being lost. The purpose of this study was to determine the stages in compiling a general journal and to find out the obstacles in compiling a general journal in the Mie Cruwell Wlingi business. Materials and Methods. This research is descriptive qualitative and by using interview and documentation techniques. Interviews were conducted with 2 (two) informants, namely business owners and employees. Documentation is in the form of photos of documents needed by research as well as results of interviews. Data analysis techniques obtained through data reduction, data presentation and Conclusion Drawing according to the problem. Results. The results of the study can be concluded that the preparation of general journals in the Cruwell Wlingi Noodle business is still done manually. The owner will implement the preparation of the general journal by utilizing the Microsoft Excel application, and the owner is still experiencing problems in the preparation of the general journal. Conclusion. The preparation of the general journal on the Cruwell Wlingi Mie business is still done manually. The owner will implement the preparation of the general journal by utilizing the Microsoft Excel application, so that business owners in compiling the general journal are easier, neater and less time consuming. Owners have problems in preparing general journals, such as owners do not understand how to enter transactions into journals, do not know how to make general journals using Microsoft Excel application, need time to learn how to compile general journals using Microsoft Excel applications.

Abstract

Objektif. Kehidupan New Normal pasca terjadinya pandemic covid-19 yang melanda seluruh Negara di dunia adalah salahsatunya dengan menjaga protocol kesehatan secara ketat. Hal ini penting dilakukan untuk menjaga agar masyarakat tidak terjangkit penyakit menular covid-19 kembali. Kedisiplinan yang tinggi dan ditopang dengan berbagai kebijakan pada lingkup instansi menjadi hal yang sangat diperlukan agar protocol kesehatan terus terlaksana. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan adalah mengimpelementasikan sitem pendeteksi penggunaan masker pada system absensi karyawan di Institut teknologi dan Bisnis STIKOM Ambon. System pedeteksi absensi bekerja secara otomatis dan terus menerus mendeteksi penggunaan masker pada karyawan yang hendak melakukan presensi masuk dan presensi pulang. System akan menolak presensi apabila karyawan tersebut terdeteksi tidak menggunakan masker. Material and Metode. Penelitian ini menggunakan You Only Look Once (YOLO) sebuah model object detection berbasis Deep learning versi 4 atau disebut sebagai YOLOv4. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah data gambar yang berisi objek manusia menggunakan atau tidak menggunakan masker. Hasil. Hasil pengujian model YOOv4 tingkat Precision 92 % dan Recall 88 %. Kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan implementasi deteksi wajah pada sistem presensi dengan model YOLOv4 menunjukan kinerja yang sangat baik.

Abstract

Objektif. Kepuasan kerja dan kinerja menjadi perhatian bagi Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR). Dikarenakan dapat mempengaruhi tujuan bank, dengan beban kerja dan kompensasi yang sesuai. Material and Metode. Metode analisis yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis adalah asosiatif kausal dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 55 karyawan. Hasil. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian koefisien jalur pengaruh variabel beban kerja (X1) dan kompensasi (X2) terhadap kepuasan kerja (Y1) dan kinerja karyawan (Y2) dengan menggunakan hasil analisis jalur didapatkan persamaan regresi pada penelitian ini adalah Y1 = 0,30 X1+0,470X2 , Y2= 0,337X1+0,207 X2+0,658Y1 menunjukkan beban kerja dan kompensasi bepengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja dan kinerja. Kesimpulan. Beban kerja dan kompensasi dapat meningkatkan kepuasaan kerja dan kinerja karyawan BPR Kawan Malang.

Abstract

Objective. This study deals with the use of online teaching of English for librarians using WhatsApp voice notes. This study aimed at figuring out the students’ perspectives regarding the implementation of WhatsApp voice notes in teaching English for Librarian courses and investigating to what extent WhatsApp voice is contributing to their speaking skills. Material and Method. Four examples of dialogue in a library context were used in practice involving 68 students taking English as a Librarian subject. The instrument used to collect data for the study was a questionnaire survey and coding and summarizing were used to analyze the data. Results. The result of the study showed that the highest percentage (84%) of the participants perceived speaking interchange via voice note as a more helpful way of making and reinforcing their speaking fluency. Independent practice and replayed recordings make their speaking fluency reinforced. The result also showed that the voice notes recordings of their speaking become valuable self-assets for their speaking practice in the library context (76%) and help them recognize new vocabulary and pronunciation in library science (67%). Conclusion. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that WhatsApp voice note is a useful tool to provide students with opportunities to speak using voice note as an alternative media, to trigger and train student’ self-speaking skill.

Abstract

Objective: This research was titled “Impolite Reader’s Responses on Online BBC News Comments”. This research found out the impoliteness strategies on BBC News comments. Materials and Methods. The research used a qualitative method. The data were the BBC News Comments. The data were analyzed by the theory of Culpeper. Results. Based on the data analysis found that the data of impoliteness strategy consisted of fifty responses, such as positive impoliteness, negative impoliteness, sarcasm and mock, and bald on record. Positive impoliteness strategy gained 26 utterances (54%) which contained 7 utterances (14%) for inappropriate identity markers, 6 (12%) for ignorance, 4 (8%) utterances for discussing a sensitive topic, 2 utterances (4%) for each secretive language and taboo words, and only one (2%) utterance for disinterested. Then, it was followed by a negative impoliteness strategy that gained 16 utterances (30%), which contained 8 utterances (16%) for condescending, 5 utterances (10%) for explicitly associating, and 2 utterances (4%) for frightened. While, sarcasm and mock gained 6 utterances (12%), and bald on record only gained 2 utterances (4%) for dismissal. Conclusion. The use of the impoliteness strategy in this data conveys an impolite response by using some of the characteristics of the impoliteness strategy. From all types of impoliteness, with-holding impoliteness strategy can’t be found in this research because it should be mostly found in direct two-way interactions rather than responses in the commentary column.

Abstract

Objective Critical discourse analysis is always interesting to study more deeply. The power of the media and public perceptions that make critical discourse research continue to grow. This helps readers understand the use of language because language is not just a means of communication, but is also used as an instrument to do something. Materials and Methods. The formulation of the problem of this research is how the critical discourse analysis of the van Dijk model is in the Jakarta Post 'Wayang Orang Penget' Delights Malang Theatergoers. This type of research is qualitative research because the data studied is news that has been transcribed. Data collection techniques in this study use observation and documentation techniques. Result. The results of the study show that in the reporting of "Wayang Orang Penyet", the Macro Structure reveals a larger size in writing the title and the quotation marks in writing 'Wayang Orang' to emphasize the discussion on the news portal. In Superstructer, Lead describes the situation on the Wayang Orang theater stage during the event, as well as describing the enthusiasm of the people in enjoying the performance. The lead then develops and takes the audience to the show. The microstructure is separated into Semantics, Syntax, Stylistics, and Rhetoric. Conclusion. This research notices the aspects such as Micro Structure, Super Structure, and Macro Structure. This news in the Jakarta Post port informs Wayang Orang Penget art performance held in Malang gets much attention from the audiences.

Abstract

Citra perusahaan merupakan Komponen verbal dan visual dari bisnis memiliki efek yang diinginkan dan tidak diharapkan pada penonton sebagai akibat dari berbagai keadaan eksternal. Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi dari penelitian ini adalah adanya koperasi tidak terbuka dan kurangnya melakukan pendekatan terhadap masyrakat terutama dengan pegusaha-pengusaha muslim, dari segi iklanpun koperasi tidak memanfaat posisi yang strategis sesuai pendapat diatas yang dilakukan di tempat-tempat yang sejalan dengan visi-misi dari koperasi syriah, kemudian koperasi kurang menonjolkan kelebihan sebagai lembaga non keuangan yang memegang prinsip jauh dengan riba sehingga citra dari perusahaan tersebut dianggap sama dengan koperasi umumnya yang ada di sekitar daerah tersebut.
