Abstract

The improvement of healthcare service quality has become the primary focus in maintaining the operational success of a hospital. Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) serves as an indicator of the efficiency in utilizing inpatient facilities, while patient satisfaction reflects a positive response to the provided care. Although BOR has become a common benchmark, it is still unclear whether this efficiency directly impacts patient satisfaction. This study aims to evaluate the correlation between Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) efficiency and patient satisfaction during inpatient care at RSUD dr. H. Koesnadi Bondowoso. The research method employed is analytical with a cross-sectional approach, involving the entire inpatient population from August to October 2023 (a total of 3,654 patients). A sample of 100 patients was selected using quota sampling based on the Slovin formula. The findings indicate that two pavilions, Dahlia (57.45%) and Mawar (40.94%), are inefficient in terms of BOR. In contrast, three pavilions, Teratai (92.47%), Melati (61.42%), and Bougenville (61.04%), exhibit efficient BOR. Patient satisfaction, measured among 100 respondents, reveals that 84% are very satisfied, while 16% are dissatisfied. Despite differences in BOR efficiency among pavilions, statistical analysis using the Chi-Square test shows no significant relationship (p = 0.054) between BOR efficiency and patient satisfaction at RSUD dr. H. Koesnadi Bondowoso. In conclusion, this study asserts that BOR values do not significantly impact patient satisfaction in the hospital. These findings suggest that other factors may play a role in influencing patient satisfaction during inpatient care at RSUD dr. H. Koesnadi Bondowoso, necessitating further research for a deeper understanding.

Abstract

According to Permenkes No. 24 of 2022, health facilities must organize Electronic Medical Records no later than December 31, 2023. At the moment the health center is still in the preparatory stage. This study aims to assess the readiness of health professionals to adopt RME and the factors that influence its implementation in health centers. The research design is quantitative with a cross-sectional study approach. The data were collected using a questionnaire with a sample of 47 health professionals. Sampling uses the total-sample technique. Data analysis using chi-square statistical tests. Based on the results of the study there was no significant relationship between age, education, work experience, and profession in RME implementation (Pvalue > 0.05). However, productive age factors are best prepared to apply RME (100%). The level of education does not guarantee the readiness of officers to implement RME, nor does work experience determine the readiness of officers with a service life of 2-5 years unprepared by 95.5%. Regarding the profession, only 20% of medical and health information recorder (PMIK) officers are declared ready. It is expected that there will be socialization and training in the use of RME for healthcare professionals to be optimally organized.

Abstract

The incidence of stunting in Indonesia according to data from the 2021 Indonesian Nutrition Status Study (SSGI) is 24.4%, still far from the national target of 14% in 2024. One way to prevent stunting is to provide nutritional and health services to pregnant women. When examining pregnant women, recording is one way to monitor the health of pregnant women. All pregnancy examination results are manually recorded in the KIA book and the pregnant mother register book. This manual recording system can cause the search for pregnant women's health history to be slow. Apart from that, there is a possibility that the KIA book was left at home. This research aims to design an information system for monitoring the health and nutritional status of pregnant women. This research used research and development method, and system design using the waterfall method. The results are a system for monitoring the health and nutritional status of pregnant women which can be used to record examination results during pregnancy to prevent stunting. Suggestions to future researchers are to develop this information system so that it can be utilized optimally for stunting prevention.
