Abstract

Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) is a collection of compound eye symp-toms due to using a computer.According to the initial survey, more than three quarter officers of Bank RK in Pekanbaru who daily work usingcomputers experience CVS. This study aimed to determine factors associated with CVS. This type of study wasquantitative observational with cross-sectional design with amount of sample 117 respondents. Data analysisused was univariate, chi-square used for bivariate analysis and multiple logistic regression used for multivariateanalysis. Based on the chi-square analysis the results showed that Bank RK officers who experienced CVS complaintswere in the forms of tired and tense eyes at 54,3%, neck pain at 28,7%, shoulder pain at 27, 7%, headacheat 25,5%, blurred vision at 20,2%, seeing twins at 17%, watery eyes and difficulty to focus at 14,9%, back pain at11,7%, sore eyes, irritation pain at 5,3%. Variables related to CVS were vision distance (p=0.016), monitor position(p=0.011), lighting (p=0.001), working period (p=0.002), the length of work (p=0.000). Variables not relatedto CVS was age (p=0.561). Variable of the length of work with computers ≥4 hours a day was 9 times riskier ofcausing CVS in Bank RK officers. This study indicates that the most dominant factor influential to CVS is the lengthof work, while other factors that act as confounding that affect CVS are monitor position, the lighting of the workstation, the period of working with computer.

Multivariate data analysis is processed by Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) Test in statistical application program named Partial Least Square (PLS). This research found that fifty percent of respondent have good knowledge and supportive attitude towards preventive action of premarital sex behavior. There are 62.7% having good perception about the importance of parents’ role. However, 41.3% just perform negatively on preventive sexual behavior in early ages. The amountof fruit and vegetable consumption of students has not been in accordance with Indonesian Balanced-NutritionGuidelines recommendations. The average of vegetable consumption of students was 36.9 ± 34.8 grams per day, while the average of fruit consumption of student was 203.2 ± 112.9 grams per day. Abstract

Flies are vectors of disease. In the section of chicken slaughter, Pasar Gedebage has a high fly density of21 tails / block grill hence it is necessary to control one of them fly sticky trap. The purpose of the study was todetermine the effect of straw color variations on the number of flies caught in fly trap sticks with the type of quasi-experimental research and post-test only design. This research was conducted at HS Pasar Gedebage Bandungchicken slaughterhouse on 25 to 30 December 2017 with research subjects all flies were in the study location. Thematerial in this study is white, yellow, red and blue straw. 3/4 straw surface smeared with durian flavored fly glue. The method in this study is quantitative research, analyzed descriptively and statistically tested. The statisticaltest begins with the normality test of Shaphiro Wilk, then tests on one way ANOVA and Post hoct LSD test. Theresults of the study were that the number of flies trapped in the white straw was 32,6 on average, the average yellowstraw was 24, the red straw was on average 18 and the blue straw was 16 on average. Statistical test resultsp-value 0.0005 shows the difference between each color straw with the number of flies caught, the white straw isthe color of the straw that traps the most flies. The conclusion research white color of straw is the best color strawfor making fly sticky trap.
