Abstract

In this era of global competition, companies are required to increase productivity in their companies so that they can compete with other companies. One of the indicators in increasing productivity is the level of reliability of the production machines in the company. In measuring how good the reliability of a production machine is, an effective and efficient maintenance process is needed for the company. In this case the Air Conditioner or hereinafter abbreviated as AC is one of the indoor air conditioning devices. One company that uses an Air Conditioner or AC to support the production process and the activities of its employees, especially those working in the production room, is PT Tifico Fiber Indonesia Tbk. The purpose of this study is to determine the critical components and the appropriate interval of Air Conditioner maintenance. Then a study was conducted to propose maintenance scheduling time intervals using the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method and to determine critical components using the Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (FMEA). From the research, it was found that the critical components of the splite type Air Conditioner component were the outdoor fan motor with an RPN value of 120, a compressor with an RPN value of 200, an outdoor capacitor with an RPN value of 140 and an indoor pcb with an RPN value of 168. Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method obtained by outdoor fan motors for 13 days, compressors for 10 days, outdoor capacitors for 90 days and indoor pcb for 24 days.Keywords : Maintenance, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Mean Time To Failure (MTTF), Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (FMEA).

Abstract

PT. Satyamitra Kemas Lestari, Tbk is a company engaged in the packaging industry for HP oppo cartons / boxes. PT. Satyamitra Kemas Lestari, Tbk in its activities always try to maintain and improve the quality and production capacity, but in every effort to achieve this the company is often faced with various kinds of obstacles. The obstacle faced from this research is that there are activities / activities that are waste in the HP Oppo box production process, one of which is the time for setting the machine and transferring goods from one process to the next which takes quite a long time. This condition is contrary to requests from customers that must be fulfilled on time, so that it affects production targets and causes a gap of an average of 6% between production targets and production results in the period March - August 2021. From one of these problems PT. Satyamitra Kemas Lestari will improve the production system by streamlining or eliminating one process that is deemed unnecessary or can be combined with other processes. This study aims to find out what waste occurs in the HP Oppo box production process at PT. Satyamitra Kemas Lestari. From the results of this study, by using the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) method, the waste that occurs can be determined, so that suggestions for improvements can also be made to reduce waste. From the proposed improvement given by the author, the resulting percentage comparison of the results of the lead time before and after the repair. It can be seen that there is a time difference resulting from the previous process. The production process becomes faster or the time reduction that occurs from the previous 424.34 minutes to 301.04 minutes, there has been a reduction in time of 123.3 minutes or a waste reduction of 29.05%. hp oppo box production process, so that the specified target can be achieved and the production process time becomes more efficient.Keywords: HP oppo box, Waste, Production Process, Production Target, Value Stream Mapping.

Abstract

The rapid development of the printing industry (printing) requires companies to continue to survive and develop. Companies that are able to survive and develop well can certainly increase the advantage of competition in the world of printing industry. Therefore, companies must have effective operating management in determining the number of workers and work balance seen from the performance factor of manpower and the efficiency of the production process so that it does not occur Waste of time and cost of production and operation activities can run well if the printing company has a good balance. The data obtained from observations is then grouped into several sub-groups and is investigated whether the average sub group is within the control limit of line balance or Better known as Line Balancing is a production strategy to balance time and workload in a number of interconnected processes in a production line so that there is no excessive congestion or capacity. Takt time time is the time needed by production in producing each product unit in order to meet customer demand. Abstract

The Covid-19 outbreak that has spread throughout the world has resulted in a significant reduction in the number of users of the aircraft mode of transportation. The decline in the number of passengers was also experienced by PT. Lion Mentari Airlines or often known as Lion Air. This of course will have an impact on decreasing the company's revenue thereby reducing the Company's ability to pay for the rental costs of several of its aircraft. It is necessary to reschedule aircraft flights to increase aircraft optimization so that existing passenger services can be met with a smaller number of aircraft compared to before the Covid-19 pandemic. Flight scheduling at Lion Air is based on market demand, aircraft maintenance programs, aircraft availability per day and airport operating hours. This research will reschedule Lion Air flight paths on Boeing 737-800NG aircraft during the Covid-19 pandemic based on airport waiting time / ground time using the Hungarian method. The waiting time at Soekarno-Hatta airport before optimization was 5,895 minutes and there was a significant decrease in waiting time at Soekarno-Hatta airport after optimization, which was 18.78% or 1,107 minutes to 4,788 minutes, and by using the new schedule, Lion Air, which was originally operating 7 aircraft fleets for these flight routes can be optimized using only 6 aircraft fleets. Keywords: Operations Research, Assignment Problems, Hungarian Method, Boeing 737-800NG, Covid-19

Abstract

The production process is a core activity of a company. Production can run smoothly. Agricultural raw materials which are input from the production process are available as needed. The availability of raw materials cannot be separated from planning and control. With the supply of raw materials, the company can meet consumer demand. The raw material inventory system in a company is a part that plays a very important role for a company engaged in manufacturing, in this section it acts as the procurement of raw materials needed by the production process. The high frequency of purchases can result in the large cost of supplies being incurred by the company. This study aims to see the analysis of raw material inventory using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to increase efficiency in the total cost of inventory. The EOQ method is supported by a Reorder Point (ROP) and Safety Stock. By using EOQ, ROP, and Safety Stock, the company will see the number of orders that must be made, the point of reorder and the amount of safety stock. The total inventory cost was Rp. 3,193,000, 1 roll of Safety Stock and 2 rolls of Reorder Points for 15mm UNP raw materials and Rp. 3,843,600, 2 rolls of Safety Stock and 3 rolls of Reorder Points for 5mm Woll raw materials.Keywords: Production Process, Raw Material, EOQ, Safety Stock, Reorder Point.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the cause of the actual man hours that did not reach the target in the interim modification work which refers to the modification of the STA 2598 bulkhead body structure on the 747-400 aircraft at PT. GMF Aeroasia Tbk. Tangerang. The type of research used in this study is a qualitative and quantitative method which refers to data taken from 15 aircraft that have performed aircraft maintenance at PT. GMF Aeroasia Tbk. By analyzing the man hours that have been partnered with the SAP application, value stream mapping analysis techniques are obtained to find out the source of the problem from the man hours delay with the stages of making current state mapping in current conditions, making process activity mapping to map existing activities at the time of work. takes place based on VA, NVA and NNVA and obtained from the results of the study the biggest cause of out of target in manhours in the modification of the structure of the bulkhead body STA 2598 on the 747-400 aircraft that was treated at PT. GMF AeroAsia Tbk is waste over processing which reaches 21 hours 38 minutes with a percentage of 14.74%, waste waiting as much as 1 hour 14 minutes with a percentage of 0.84% and a total waste motion of 30 minutes with a percentage of 0.34% with a total waste during work lasted for 23 hours 22 minutes with a percentage of 15, 97% with the proposed improvement by increasing the effectiveness of duration manhours which previously reached 145 hours 4 minutes, to 121 hours 12 minutes. Keywords: VSM, Maintenance, Waste Analysis, Manhours, PAM

Abstract

PT. Sumber Mas Buana Pekasa is a company engaged in manufacturing that produces various types of plastic-based products, one of the products produced is flower pots which are used as household decorations. The problem being faced is regarding defective products produced during the production process which are less stable. Therefore, quality control is needed which aims to reduce the level of defects by using one method, namely Six Sigma with the stages of define, measure, analyze, improve and control (DMAIC) which can determine the characteristics of defective products. This study aims to determine the type of product defect, the factors causing the defect and provide suggestions for improvement, from the calculation of the average sigma value on the Flowerpot product in July-December 2020 of 3.88 and the DPMO value of 11178. The highest type of defect based on data processing Black Spots 27.2%, Striped 24.7%, Not full 24.6%, and Flashing 23.6%. Abstract

In the fabrication process always maintain and improve the quality and capacity of the company, but in the fabrication process there are several obstacles that affect product delivery to the project. Because the achievement of the productivity of the company PT Prakarsa Langgeng Maju Bersama is less than optimal because there is still a lot of waste (waste) in the fabrication process. The waste contained in the fabrication process is motion waste, inventory waste, defect waste. Based on the data obtained, there are 245 hours of excess work. For this reason, waste is carried out using a Lean Manufacturing approach, namely the WRM Waste Relationship Matrix and WAQ Waste Assessment Questionnaire by 5W + 1H which is used to support waste and also to find out the relationship between the seven wastes so that existing waste can be eliminated. the highest was Motion at 25.4%, followed by Inventory at 18.4%. and Disability by 15.1%. Proposed improvements related to productivity, need SOPs in machine setup, standardize all processes and inventory management, provide control training to the workers concerned, improve coordination between departments, make tools to standardize all processes and Poka yoke, increase work motivation, improved supervision and implementation of Poka Yoke.Keywords: Lean Manufacturing, Waste Relationship Matrix, Waste Assesment Quesioner, Fishbone Diagram, Poka Yoke

Abstract

Plastic is one of the human needs in everyday life, as a place to wrap food and drinks, because plastic is practical, clean, and makes it easy for humans. Plastic is also an artificial inorganic material composed of chemicals that are quite harmful to the environment. To deal with plastic waste, a way is needed, to process the plastic waste into materials that are more useful and also have benefits for nature, one way is by recycling the plastic waste into fuel, namely fuel in the form of oil. By processing plastic waste into fuel oil, besides being able to reduce plastic waste, we can also save petroleum supplies in nature. In addition, the oil produced from this plastic also has a calorific value that is quite high on par with fossil fuels such as gasoline and diesel. The purpose of this research is to create a new tool size and create a new tool design from existing plastic waste processing equipment. The research method that the author uses is a field study method by analyzing existing waste processing equipment into liquid fuel and modifying the tool with Solidworks Software. In modifying the plastic waste processing equipment into liquid fuel, the first step is to modify the frame size which is more compact and not much free space and in modifying the design of the plastic waste processing equipment to become liquid fuel, the design is more attractive and elegant, while also prioritizing safety. Keyword: Oil, Design, Waste, Plastic, Solidworks
