Abstract

In general, the tradition of praying for the dead is an activity carried out by reading the phrase "Laa Ilaaha Illa Allah". The purpose of the study was to determine the application of Islamic education values in the tradition of praying for the dead in Batu Melenggang Village, Hinai District, Langkat Regency. The research method uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The object of this research is the villagers of Batu Melenggang, Hinai District. The first data analysis technique examines in depth the problem, then interprets the data and adapts it to the theory, and finally concludes all of the research results. The results of the research on the values of Islamic education in the tradition of praying for the dead are the value of alms, the value of mutual assistance, the value of solidarity, the value of harmony, the value of silaturrahim as ukhuwah Islamiyah, the value of the virtue of dhikrulmaut (remembering death), the value of the virtue of dhikrullah (remembering Allah swt).), elements of da'wah, and health values. The implementation of the tradition of praying for the dead in the Batu Melenggang Village community, Hinai District, is often held when the sun has set or after Maghrib. The event to pray for the dead only starts when many invitees have come and are considered sufficient and usually the tradition is carried out with the practices of reading the Qur'an and dhikr.

Abstract

TMI Al-Amien Prenduan is an educational institution that applies foreign languages (Arabic and English) as the language used in daily conversation. This study aims to find out how the role of language in TMI Al-Amien Prenduan and its correlation with the educational and analytical values of the Taaj al-Ma'had philosophy. The research method used is qualitative research with a literature study approach. Data collection techniques are sourced from book documentation, articles, etc. The data analysis technique uses an approach from Miles & Hubarman with 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and data verification or conclusions. The data validity technique uses confirmability through a language development group (Markazul Lughoh) which holds various daily, monthly or yearly language activities. The results show that the role of language is quite closely correlated with educational values, because learning and using (foreign) languages will not run without education., because learning and using (foreign) languages will not run without education. Coupled with the Taaj al-Ma'had philosophy that is ingrained in TMI Al-Amien Prenduan, language will always live and develop throughout time. It can be concluded that the role of language in TMI Al-Amien Prenduan is a fairly important element because if the language is not alive, then the crown of the cottage (taaj al-Ma'had) will be damaged and not develop. Language development has the full support of Markazul Lughoh and all the functionaries of the boarding school, including the students who are active in foreign languages in daily conversation. The theoretical and practical implications can be stated, the theoretical implications, the application of listening, speaking, reading, writing, composing and translating skills will make it easier for students to learn the language, Markazul Lughoh has an important role in improving the language quality of students. Practical implications, the results of this study are used as input for students and all functionaries of the Al-Amien Prenduan Islamic boarding school to always use foreign languages in daily conversation accordance with the philosophy of language is Taaj al-Ma'had.

Abstract

This article discusses the Islamic Integrated Character curriculum model which is a formula for the needs of today's institutions. This article uses a qualitative descriptive analysis of the object of discussion by utilizing reference sources on related themes. This article argues that the Islamic Integrated Character curriculum model is an ideal curriculum to be applied, this is because it is in accordance with the current needs of the nation, where this model is integrated between the curriculum and Islamic Character which in the end is not limited to general knowledge and to help eliminate the dichotomy between the general education system and Islam, so that understanding/learning will provide comprehensive student learning outcomes and be able to print the Ulul Albab generation. By applying the Islamic Integrated Character curriculum model, students will be able to recognize, understand, reflect, have faith, fear, and have noble character in carrying out the teachings correctly. Furthermore, the Islamic Integrated Character Curriculum has a positive effect on increasing higher-order thinking skills and improving the character of students compared to students using conventional methods, it can be said to be effective in improving students' higher-order thinking skills, so that it will produce a generation of Insan Kamil.

Abstract

Distance learning carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic left many problems in its implementation. Along with the increasingly controlled spread of Covid-19, it is possible to carry out face-to-face learning even though it is still limited to face-to-face learning. Limited face-to-face learning allows educational institutions to use blended learning methods. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Islamic religious education subjects and manners in reading the Qur'an. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Sangatta Utara in class XII IPA 6 in the odd semester in 2021/2022 with a total of 34 students. The method implemented in this research is Kurt Lewis' CAR model where the model is based on the components of planning, taking action, observing, and reflecting. The result is that the improvement of student learning outcomes can be done by applying blended learning model learning. This is done in Basic Competency 4.1.1, namely reading with correct makhorijul letters and tajwid in the Qur'an Surah Luqman (31); 13-14, and the Qur'an Surah Al-Baqarah (2): 83. The achievement of Cycle 1 was 32.3% then increased in cycle 2 to 91%.

Abstract

The kiai's leadership role is the activity of a kiai in behaving, directing, deciding, and making policies in a formal or informal organization in society. This study attempts to describe the leadership of kiyai Abd Mukti to the Muslim community in the community's spiritual search. Research with a field-related approach, and also some literature. With data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study: the leadership of the kyai who tends to be democratic in their leadership practices is colored with efforts to realize effective human beings. In his leadership, he is not only limited to leading but also directs his mind and energy to achieve a goal, with his patience he leads the Muslim community with the values of life in it. Such leadership will naturally be an example for the community, especially for Muslim members in spiritual matters. The author hopes that this research will contribute to the theory that will be applied. In today's times it is very important for women to become empowered through the Muslim community.

Abstract

Renewal in an educational institution is a necessity, this is because educational institutions follow the times and the needs of an increasingly new era without reducing educational values. Reform cannot be separated from policy, there will be the right policy and the concept of reform through proper analysis, monitoring of policy implementation, and policy evaluation. The reform policy in Islamic boarding schools will present the ideals of modernizing Islamic boarding schools without losing the values of Islamic boarding schools. The method used uses a qualitative methodology with a library research approach, examining related references. According to Dede Rosyada, the functions of the pesantren are divided into two, the first is the functionalism model and the structuralism model, where in functionalism formal schools are included, such as madrasas or secondary schools and equivalent, then the structuralism function includes the development of student skills, such as agricultural skills, automation and so on.

Abstract

This study aims to explain conflict management in improving the performance of teachers from the Al-Qur'an perspective. This research is in the form of qualitative with a library research approach, research sources of the Qur'an and books of interpretation of books, journals, theses, modules and articles related to the object of research. The results showed: Strategy to manage conflict: First, Lose-Lose Strategy, by avoiding conflicts and problems that arise. Win-Lose Strategy, managing conflict through competition in the Second, competing in improving performance Third, Los-Win Strategy, by succumbing to accommodate the interests of others so as not to enlarge. Fourth, Win-Win Strategy, resolve conflicts by creating settlements through conventions or mutual agreements. Strategies in improving teacher performance, namely: increasing further education, implementing regulations on discipline, training, reward and punishment, improving welfare, developing motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the management of courageous learning in the tahfizh Al-Qur'an program at Al-Wafi Islamic Boarding School in the new normal. The research was conducted with a case study approach. Collecting data by interview, observation and documentation. Data processing with reduction, displaying data and drawing conclusions. The results showed: (1) learning planning in the form of preparing halaqah tahfizh groups, schedules, methods and learning media. Implementation of learning, combining classical learning with ZOOM and individual learning with WhatsApp. In addition, it is also equipped with learning supervision using Google Sheets. The learning evaluation consists of evaluating the learning process by evaluating and evaluating learning outcomes using a summative evaluation model through semester exams and evaluation through juz incremental exams. (2) Second, the effectiveness of the learning process is seen from two things, first, it is boldly not more effective because it is influenced by students' motivation, students' honesty, parental support at home, teacher competence and adequate facilities. Second, learning applications, WhatsApp and ZOOM Cloud Meeting have high effectiveness and are even the best applications according to their functions. In the Google Spreadsheet application, it is used as an alternative as a tool to create a form of learning tahfizh Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

Human resource management in adversity quotient in student cooperatives is an institution that focuses on cooperative education and training and human resource development. The training and development of potential members is the domain of the Human Resource Development division which is carried out by the daily manager. This section conducts a survey to members by distributing a questionnaire of member needs which are then realized. The level is three management/two and a half years. This career is divided into two types, namely management career path and membership career path. The compensation system is divided into two types, namely financial and non-financial compensation. The concept and development of Human Resources in Islamic religious education training, namely Allah commands humans to seek knowledge, seek knowledge with the intention of worship, calls for good teaching, the existence of methods and development of human resources in Islam, the importance of paying attention to morality and physical appearance, and Islam that encourage people to earnestly improve performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the principal in improving teacher performance in Izzatul Islam Integrated Islamic Kindergarten, Cengkong Village, Purwasari District, Karawang. The research method is qualitative, namely by describing, revealing, explaining, and analyzing phenomena, events and activities that occur at the research location. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed: the principal as a leader, namely directing teachers to carry out their duties and responsibilities. As educators, by conducting direct coaching (supervision) or coaching outside of school. As administrators and motivators, principals teach teachers to collaborate in creating and compiling school programs. The principal manages and empowers all human resources to optimize their abilities. As innovators, principals provide opportunities for teachers to be creative and innovate in schools. The results of the coaching and training carried out by principals for teachers can increase their performance abilities by 85%.
