Abstract

This study aims to produce powtoon-based learning video learning media to improve students' critical thinking skills in class VIII two-variable linear equation system (SPLDV) material at SMPN 2 Putussibau which achieves a level of validity, practicality, and efficiency. This research method uses research and development involving 3 material validator experts and 3 media validator experts. The subjects of this study were grade VIII students of SMPN 2 Putussibau totaling 14 students. Data collected validation sheets, student response questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, and tests of students' critical thinking skills. The results of this study showed that the learning video media assessed validity 86% (very valid), practical assessment 84% (very practical) and effectiveness assessment 85.7% (very effective). So, it can be stated that animated videos are suitable to be used as learning media for grade VIII SMPN 2 Putussibau regarding the subject of Two Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV).

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on improving learning outputs in the Philology course. The research method used is a pseudo-experiment with a pre-test post-test control group design. The research subjects consisted of two groups of students, namely the experimental group that applied the Project Based Learning Model and the control group that used conventional learning methods. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test instruments, observations, and questionnaires. The results showed that the application of the Project Based Learning Model significantly improved student learning outputs in the Philology course. There is an increase in concept understanding, text analysis skills, and critical thinking skills of students who take part in learning with the PjBL approach. In addition, students' positive response to this learning model is also evident from the questionnaire results. This finding implies that the Project Based Learning Model can be used as an effective alternative in improving the quality of learning in Philology courses

Abstract

This research aims to understand the comprehension of emotions in the learning process at MI Al-Masrhi in Pangkalan Balai, Banyuasin Regency. The method used in this study is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection methods involve interviews with 12 respondents, including educators, school principals, students, and parents of students. Data collection also includes observations and documentation, while data analysis techniques encompass data collection, data presentation, and data verification. The research findings demonstrate the importance of emotional understanding for teachers in relation to students' learning. Teachers play a crucial role in being sensitive to students' emotions, helping them deal with stress, anxiety, or negative feelings that can disrupt the learning process. Emotional understanding can aid teachers in identifying emotional factors that can affect students' learning motivation. Teachers who understand their students' emotions can build positive relationships with them, and emotional comprehension contributes to the emotional well-being of both students and teachers, enabling teachers to engage students in the learning process through participative methods

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of lecturer professionalism in achieving national education goals in universities, especially in the Informatics Engineering Education Study Program at Bumigora University. The professionalism of lecturers includes pedagogic, professional, personality, and social competencies, which play a role in creating a quality educational environment. This study explains how the evaluation of lecturer performance is carried out through questionnaires filled out by students and how the results of this evaluation are used to motivate lecturers to improve the quality of education. The evaluation results show that the level of student satisfaction with the overall performance of lecturers is very good, but there is still room for improvement. Social Competence was rated highest, while Personality Competence had the lowest level of satisfaction. These results show that the professionalism of lecturers in terms of social interaction can be improved. Evaluation of lecturer performance is an important step in ensuring the quality of higher education and encouraging lecturers to continuously improve their professionalism. This article concludes that efforts to improve the professionalism of lecturers need to continue so that higher education remains of high quality and in accordance with national education goals

Abstract

Language is one of the key aspects in human development and the educational process. Technology has become one of the major forces shaping education. This research aims to further examine the role of technology in improving language skills in education. This research uses a qualitative methodology in the form of a literature review, which implies that the research will examine and explain data by utilising information and textual content from various sources. Data analysis techniques included content analysis to identify patterns and themes in the literature, theme analysis to understand the framework, coding to categorise data, constant comparison analysis to compare data, synthesis of findings, and triangulation to validate analysis results. The results show that technology plays a very important role in improving language proficiency in education. In the digital era, wider access to learning resources, technology-based learning applications, adaptive learning, and the use of technology in the classroom have opened up great opportunities for students to improve their language skills

Abstract

This research is related to the role of the family environment in the cognitive development of children at Public Elementary School 160 in Palembang. The type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data collection methods used include interviews, observations, documentation, and discussions. Data analysis techniques involve data collection, data presentation, and data verification. Based on the analysis, it was found that the role of the family environment in supporting children's educational development has been well executed. The family plays the primary role as the first environment where children grow and learn, and it has a significant influence on shaping children's educational development. However, it is important to remember that a child's education in the family environment is not solely the responsibility of parents but involves the participation of all family members, including grandparents, siblings, and other family members. Cognitive development in children plays a crucial role as it forms the foundation for learning abilities, interaction with the environment, and academic and intellectual achievements. There are differences in cognitive development between boys and girls, where boys may be less active than girls, but this does not rule out the possibility that boys may have different ways of understanding the material

Abstract

The development of digital literacy in education in Indonesia is an integral part of efforts to prepare the younger generation to face the growing digital era. This study aims to provide a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of literature related to the development of digital literacy in education in Indonesia. This bibliometric analysis uses the Vosviewer tool. From the Google Scholar database, we identified 995 literature sources published between 2012 and 2023.The results show that the number of publications has increased every year in the 2012-2023 time frame. Network visualization shows that research trends related to the development of digital literacy in education in Indonesia during the period include keywords such as Literacy, Technology, Literacy Ability, Data, and Teachers.  The analysis results also resulted in 16 clusters, Cluster 1 (17 items), Cluster 2 (12 items), Cluster 3 (11 items), Cluster 4 (9 items), Cluster 5 (8 items), Cluster 6 (8 items), Cluster 7 (8 items), Cluster 8 (6 items), Cluster 9 (6 items), Cluster 10 (6 items), Cluster 11 (5 items), Cluster 12 (5 items), Cluster 13 (5 items),  Cluster 14 (4 items), Cluster 15 (4 items), Cluster 16 (3 items). This study provides information to education researchers related to digital literacy in education which is expected to strengthen further research topics

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic not only has an impact on public health, but also has an impact on the world of education. This research examines the factors that influence the academic achievement of accounting students. Accounting lectures, which contain mostly calculation material, even though they are taught boldly, must be mastered by the students. This researcher tested whether lecturer competency variables and student interaction had an effect on the academic achievement of accounting students. With a sample size of 70 people, and using Partial Least Square, using Smart PLS 4.0 it was concluded that Competency. Lecturer competency partially influences the academic achievement of brave learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, student interaction has no partial effect on the academic achievement of brave learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.
