Al-Tarbiyah: Jurnal Pendidikan (The Educational Journal) is a double-blind peer reviewed journal on Education published by the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training of IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. Al-Tarbiyah: Jurnal Pendidikan welcomes and accepts qualified original research papers about education which are written by researchers, academicians, professionals, and practitioners from all over the world. This journal is published twice a year. Al-Tarbiyah: Jurnal Pendidikan has already had registration numbers of p-ISSN: 2442-6377 and e-ISSN: 2721-3595 issued by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI). Al-Tarbiyah journal was inactive during 2016-2018. In 2019 this journal started continuing the publication of Volume 29.

Abstract

Peer assessment is the alternative assessment used by a teacher/ lecturer in assessing process and product in English language teaching and learning. The practice of peer assessment in higher education fosters graduate students more actively in the assessment process. This article aimed to explore graduate students' perceptions of the practice of peer assessment in an academic writing class conducted in the first semester of the English department graduate program at a University in Surakarta. This research was a case study, and the sampling technique in this research was purposive sampling, where 24 graduate students in academic writing class participated. A focused interview was conducted to explore graduate students' views on the practice of peer assessment for academic writing, which covered the feeling and challenges during peer assessment activity. The data were analyzed through the stages of examining, categorizing, tabulating, and recombining data. This study's result reveal that the peer assessment practice in academic writing class helps graduate students find the weaknesses in their writing that the they could not see by themselves. Feedback from peers during peer assessment practice completed the understanding of things the graduate students needed for revision. This research is expected to contribute to educational development by encouraging English writing lecturers' awareness to optimize peer assessment practice for assessing students writing.Keywords: peer-assessment, scientific writing, students’ perception.

Abstract

AbstrakKarakter dalam tari merupakan bagian terpenting selain dari gerak dan irama musik. Lemahnya kreativitas dalam pembelajaran tari menjadi persoalan utama dalam teknik penguasaan karakter, sehingga berpengaruh terhadap unsur-unsur lainnya seperti gerak dan musik karena unsur tari tersebut merupakan satu kesatuan yang tidak dapat dipisahkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperdalam pemahaman terhadap karakter dalam tari, yaitu Tari Topeng Cirebon. Karakter dalam Tari Topeng Cirebon sangat variatif, yaitu Topeng Panji, Rumyang, Tumenggung, Samba, dan Klana. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan tentang karakter “gagah” dalam Tari Topeng Klana. Lemahnya karakter seseorang, khususnya remaja dalam memerankan perannya di kehidupan menjadi persoalan lain yang berkaitan dengan karakter “gagah” yang dimaksud. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh bahwa Tari Topeng Klana Cirebon memiliki nilai karakter gagah, yang dimana tercermin dari data tekstual dan kontekstual tentang Tari Topeng Klana Cirebon. Nilai karakter gagah pun dapat termanifestasi melalui proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan melalui model pembelajaran role playing.Kata kunci: Tari Topeng Klana Cirebon, karakter, gagah AbstractCharacter in dance is the most important part beside the movement and the rhythm of the music. Weak creativity in dance learning is the main problem in character mastery techniques. Thus, it affects other elements such as motion and music because these elements of dance are an inseparable unit. This research was conducted to deepen the understanding of the characters in dance, namely Cirebon Mask Dance. The characters in Cirebon Mask Dance are very varied, namely Panji, Rumyang, Tumenggung, Samba, and Klana masks. This paper aims to describe the "gallant" character in the Klana Mask Dance. The weakness of a person's character, especially teenagers in playing their roles in life, is another problem related to the "gallant" character. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. Based on the result of this study, it is found that the Cirebon Klana Mask Dance has a “gallant” character value, which is reflected in the textual and contextual data about the Cirebon Klana Mask Dance. The value of a “gallant” character can also be manifested through a learning process carried out through a role playing learning model.Keywords: Cirebon Klana Mask Dance, character, gallant

Abstract

Abstrak Pemanfaatan edmodo dalam proses pembelajaran daring dapat digunakan pada kegiatan yang dilakukan di sekolah maupun di luar sekolah, penggunaan edmodo dalam pembelajaran daring dapat digunakan oleh peserta didik dengan memanfaatkan komputer, laptop atau notebook dan hp android yang ada di rumah peserta didik. Adapun tujuan pada penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran e-learning berbasis edmodo dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X di SMAN 1 Slawi dan MAN 1 Kabupaten Tegal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang dilakukan melalui proses kerja kolaborasi guru matematika, peneliti, dan kepalasekolah serta tenaga pendidik dan kependidikan. Pengumpulan data dengan memberikan tes kepada siswa, yang sebelumnya dibuat terlebih dulu instrument tesnya. Berdasarkan temuan dan hasil penelitian tentang penggunaan aplikasi edmodo ternyata dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa tentang konsep nilai mutlak padasiswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Slawi dan MAN 1 Tegal. Jadi secara keseluruhan hasil belajar siswa sudah meningkat jika dilihat dari nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa pada kelas X ini. Kata Kunci: edmodo, pembelajaran e-learning, hasil belajar siswaAbstractUtilization of Edmodoo in the online learning process can be used in activities carried out at school and outside of school, the use of Edmodo in online learning can be used by students by utilizing computers, laptops or notebooks and Android phones in the students' homes. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of Edmodo-based e-learning in improving the learning outcomes of class X students at SMAN 1 Slawi and MAN 1 Tegal Regency. This research is a classroom action research which is carried out through a collaborative work process of mathematics teachers, researchers, and principals as well as educators and education staff. Collecting data by giving tests to students, who previously made the test instrument. Based on the findings and results of research on the use of the Edmodo application, it turns out that it can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes about the concept of absolute value in class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Slawi and MAN 1 Tegal. So overall student learning outcomes have increased when viewed from the average value obtained by students in class X. Keywords: edmodo, e-learning, student learning outcomes

Abstract

 AbstrakTujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk merefleksikan keberagaman yang ada di Pendidikan anak usia dini. Penulisan artikel ini menggunakan metodologi penelitian metaanalisis yang mengintegrasikan beberapa hasil temuan penelitian yang dilakukan di berbagai negara. Melalui perspektif post developmentalisme, hasil analisis mengungkap bagaimana praktek di PAUD acapkali lebih berfokus pada sisi kognitif anak, tanpa melihat potensi negative keberagaman anak berdasarkan keadaan sosial, ekonomi, gender, budaya, ras dan agama. Sehingga, Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi sebuah refleksi untuk guru dan orang dewasa untuk lebih sensitive terhadap keberagaman yang acapkali menunjukan ketidakadilan baik itu dilakukan oleh guru maupun anak-anak. Sehingga PAUD tidak hanya menjadi tempat untuk menstimulasi perkembangan anak saja, namun menjadi tempat yang aman, nyaman dan menyenangkan.Kata kunci: Post-Developmentalisme, Multikulturalisme, Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini AbstractThe purpose of writing this article is to reflect on the diversity that exists in early childhood education. The writing of this article uses a meta-analytical research methodology that integrates several research findings conducted in various countries. Through the perspective of post-developmentalism, this paper reveals how the practice in PAUD is often more focused on the cognitive side of children, without seeing the negative potential of children's diversity based on social, economic, gender, cultural, racial, and religious conditions. This finding is expected to be a reflection of teachers and adults being more sensitive to diversity which often shows injustice, whether it is done by teachers or children. Abstract

 AbstrakPerilaku asertif harus diterapkan dalam kegiatan individu setiap harinya agar dapat mengkomunikasikan perasaan dan pikiran dengan efektif, jujur, dan tegas tanpa ada tekanan dari orang lain atau lingkungan. Perilaku ini menjadi gambaran rumusan kebutuhan komunikasi yang jujur dan tetap menjaga perasaan. Dalam adat ketimuran, sering kali peserta didik kurang mampu berperilaku asertif atas nama adat dan budaya. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan dan permasalahan peserta didik (AKPD), diperoleh data bahwa 71,43% peserta didik belum mengetahui sikap dan perilaku asertif. Kasus tersebut melatar belakangi penelitian mengenai apakah perilaku asertif dapat ditingkatkan dengan metode psikodrama sebagai bentuk layanan bimbingan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan bimbingan konseling. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus. Hasil post tes pada siklus 1 terdapat persentase sebesar 7% dengan tingkat sangat tinggi, persentase sebesar 90% dengan tingkat tinggi, persentase sebesar 3% dengan tingkat rendah dan persentase sebesar 0% dengan tingkat sangat rendah. Sedangkan hasil post tes pada siklus 2 terdapat hasil persentase sebesar 17% dengan tingkat sangat tinggi, persentase sebesar 83% dengan tingkat tinggi, persentase sebesar 0% untuk tingkat rendah dan sangat rendah.  Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa perilaku asertif dapat ditingkatkan dengan bentuk layanan bimbingan klasikal melalui metode psikodrama.Kata kunci:  perilaku asertif, layanan bimbingan klasikal, psikodrama.  AbstractAssertive behaviour must be implemented in an individual’s daily activities in order to communicate his or her feelings and thoughts effectively, honestly, and firmly without any pressure from other people or the environment. This behaviour is an illustration of the needs of honest communication and feeling appreciation. In eastern customs, students are often less able to behave assertively because of the local custom and culture. Based on the results of the analysis of students’ needs and problems (AKPD), the data show that 71.43% of students do not know assertive attitudes and behaviour. This case became the background of this study on whether assertive behaviour could be improved by using the psychodrama method as a form of guidance service. This research was counselling guidance action research. The research was conducted in two cycles. The post test results in the first cycle show the assertive behaviour consisting of very high, high, low, and very low levels shown by the percentages of 7%, 90%, 3% and 0% respectively. On the other hand, the post test results in the second cycle show the assertive behaviour consisting of very high, high, low, and very low levels shown by the percentages of 17%, 83%, 0% and 0% respectively. From these results, it can be concluded that assertive behaviour can be improved with classical guidance services through the psychodrama method.Keywords: assertive behaviour, classical guidance service, psikodrama.

Abstract

AbstrakArtikel ini membahas mengenai integrasi sains dengan keilmuan lain pada tingkat SD/MI sehingga dapat menggambarkan dasar integrasi sains dengan keilmuan lain serta cara pengimplementasiannya. Integrasi sains dengan keilmuan lain yaitu proses menggabungkan mata pelajaran lain dengan sains. Penelitian ini menggunakan library research. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu: Dasar-dasar yang menyebabkan integrasi sains dengan keilmuan lainya antara lain sebagai berikut: time pressure, fragmentation of curriculum, dan the explosion of knowledge. Proses mengintegrasikan sains dengan keilmuan lainya yaitu dengan membuat tema untuk diintegrasikan antara sains dengan keilmuan /mata pelajaran lain ditingkat sekolah dasar sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran agar menjadi tema yang bermakna dan menarik. Beberapa keilmuan yang diintegrasikan dalam pembahasan ini adalah Matematika, Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial dan Seni, keterampilan membaca dan keterampilan menulis. Integrasi sains dengan keilmuan lain pada tingkat SD/MI dikembangkan melalui pendekatan multdisipliner misal berkaitan dengan makhluk sosial, pengukuran pertumbuhan makhluk hidup, dan pengamatan terhadap lingkungan hidup. Kata Kunci:  integrasi, sains, Sekolah Dasar  AbstractThis article discusses the integration of science with other subjects at the SD/MI level so that it can describe the basis for integrating science with other subjects and how to implement it. The Integration of science with other subjects is the process of combining other subjects with science. This study was library research with interactive methods. The data were collected by using content analysis technique. The findings of the study show the bases that lead to the integration of science with other sciences which include the time pressure, the fragmentation of curriculum, and the explosion of knowledge. The process of integrating science with other subjects is done by creating a theme to be integrated between science and other subjects at the elementary school level in accordance with the learning objectives to become a meaningful and interesting theme. Some subjects integrated with science in this discussion are mathematics, social science, arts, reading skills, and writing skills. The integration of science with other sciences at the SD/MI level is developed through a multidisciplinary approach, for example relating to social beings, measuring the growth of living things, and observing the environment. Keywords: integration, science, elementary school

Abstract

AbstrakPendidikan tasawuf berfungsi untuk menjadikan manusia berkepribadian shalih dan memiliki laku-lampah yang baik dan mulia serta mempunyai ibadah yang berkualitas, yang menghasilkan output berupa manusia yang jujur, istiqāmah dan tawadu. Pendidikan tasawuf pada remaja sangat dibutuhkan demi mencegahnya kenakalan-kenakalan pada remaja. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami urgensi pendidikan tasawuf demi mencegahnya kenakalan-kenakalan pada remaja. Artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan tinjauan literatur. Pencarian literatur dilakukan secara online melalui Google Cendekia yang dibatasi dari tahun 2012-2022 dengan proses percarian menggunakan kata kunci “Pendidikan Tasawuf”, “Pendidikan Tasawuf Remaja”, dan “Pendidikan Tasawuf Milenial”. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara garis besar pendidikan tasawuf adalah sarana untuk seseorang mendekatkan diri kepada Allah melalui penyucian jiwa dan hati. Hal ini yang dibutuhkan untuk menghadapi kehidupan modern yang dialami oleh manusia, khususnya para remaja milenial yang dekat dengan dunia teknologi dan internet. Pendidikan tasawuf juga harus masuk dan perlu dikemas dengan pendekatan-pendekatan yang terkini agar relate dengan para remaja milenial. Hai ini demi terciptanya remaja yang mempunyai akhlakul karimah dan menjaga pribadinya dari krisis ruhani.Kata kunci: milenial, pendidikan, remaja, tasawuf  AbstractTasawuf education serves to make humans have pious personalities, good and noble behavior, and the best worship, resulting in output in the form of honest, istiqāmah and tawadu humans. Tasawuf education for teenagers is really needed to prevent juvenile delinquency. This article aimed to identify and understand the urgency of tasawuf education in order to prevent juvenile delinquency.  This article used a literature review approach. The literature search was conducted online through Google Scholar which was limited from 2012-2022 with the search process using the keywords of "Tasawuf Education", "Tasawuf Education for Teenagers", and "Millennial Tasawuf Education". The result of this study shows that in general, tasawuf education is a means for a person to get closer to Allah through the purification of the soul and heart. This is what is needed to face the modern life experienced by humans, especially the millennial teens who are keen to the world of technology and the internet. Tasawuf education must also be included and presented with the latest approaches so that it relates to millennial teens. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pemahaman dan pengetahuan mahasiswa calon guru MI IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon tentang Kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil survey sebanyak 149 responden yang dipilih dengan teknik random sampling.  Analisis data menggunakan content analysis. Setiap indikator jawaban responden dilakukan analisis konten untuk mendapatkan penjelasan tentang kandungan informasi atas persepsi tentang program MBKM. Hasil penelitian yang didapat ialah sejumlah 77% mahasiswa belum mengetahui isi kebijakan MBKM secara maksimal. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya informasi yang diperoleh mahasiswa sehingga ragu ragu untuk merekomendasikan program MBKM. Meskipun demikian, mahasiswa mempunyai minat dan antusias yang tinggi sebesar 59% dari total responden terkait adanya program MBKM. Oleh sebab itu, perlu adanya sosialisasi yang masif untuk mengenalkan program MBKM untuk mensukseskan keberhasilan program MBKM.Kata kunci: kebijakan MBKM, persepsi, mahasiswa PGMI. AbstractThis study aimed to measure the understanding and knowledge of prospective primary teachers of IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon on the Freedom to Learn, Independent Campus (MBKM) Policy. This study was a quantitative descriptive study. The data collected by using questionnaires involved 149 respondents chosen through the random sampling technique. The data were analyzed by using content analysis. Each indicator of MBKM perceptions was analyzed to figure out the explanation of the perceptions of prospective primary teachers of IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon on the MBKM policy. The results of the study indicate that 77% respondents have not known about the MBKM policy yet. The lack of information obtained causes the respondents to not understand the contents of the MBKM policy and hesitate to recommend the MBKM program. However, 59% of the respondents have high interest and enthusiasm regarding the MBKM program. Therefore, massive socialization is needed to introduce the MBKM program for the success of the MBKM program.Keywords: MBKM policy, perception, prospective primary teachers

Abstract

AbstrakBhineka Tunggal Ika, yang diterjemahkan menjadi “berbeda-beda tetapi tetap satu”, adalah semboyan negara Indonesia yang bertujuan untuk menghormati keragaman suku, budaya, agama, dan adat istiadat warga negaranya. Gus Dur kemudian berkeyakinan bahwa gagasan pendidikan Islam harus digunakan dengan mengedepankan prinsip-prinsip multikultural sehingga manusia dapat saling menghormati dan berinteraksi dengan baik, baik dalam lingkungan pendidikan maupun kehidupan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang multikulturalisme dan kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam perspektif Gus Dur secara komprehensif. Jenis penelitian menggunakan kepustakaan dan metodenya deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pendidikan multikultural Gus Dur memiliki dua aspek yaitu aspek keberagaman serta aspek demokrasi dan HAM. Sementara itu, kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam harus mengikuti perkembangan zaman dan metode yang digunakan harus demokratis serta mendorong komunikasi antara peserta didik dan pendidik.Kata kunci: Multikultural, Kurikulum, Pendidikan Islam, Gus Dur  AbstractBhineka Tunggal Ika, which is translated into “unity in diversity”, is the motto of the Indonesian state which aims to respect the diversity of ethnicity, culture, religion, and customs of its citizens. Gus Dur then believed that the idea of Islamic education must be used by promoting multicultural principles so humans can respect each other and interact properly, both in the educational environment and in social life. This study aimed to comprehensively find out about multiculturalism and the Islamic Religious Education curriculum in Gus Dur's perspective. This type of research used a library study and the method was descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that Gus Dur’s multicultural education has two aspects, namely aspects of diversity and aspects of democracy and human rights. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan memiliki tujuan meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar peserta didik terhadap mata pelajaran Akidah Akhak melalui media nadzhom (bait yang dinyanyikan) Aqidatul Awwam. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama dua tahap. Setiap tahap dilaksanakan dalam tiga pertemuan. Subjek  yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini adalah guru kelas V dan peserta didik kelas V MI Asy-Syafi’iyyah Jatibarang sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam dan tes. Penelitian ini berfokus pada implementasi muhafadhoh nadhom Aqidatul Awwam terhadap minat dan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak dan faktor pendukung dan penghambat dari metode tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa minat dan hasil belajar peserta didik meningkat dengan metode muhafadhoh nadhom Aqidatul Awwam. Faktor pendukung keberhasilan penerapan muhafadhoh nadhom Aqidatul Awwam yaitu (1) mayoritas peserta didik MI Asy-Syafi’iyyah sudah lancar dalam membaca al-Qur’an, (2) nadhom dinyanyikan dengan irama yang mudah diingat, (3) penerapan yang konsisten, (4) diimplementasikan pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak. Namun faktor penghambat dari metode ini adalah membutuhkan waktu yang lama.Kata kunci: muhafadhoh, nadhom, aqidatul awwam, akidah akhlak  AbstractThis classroom action research aimed at increasing students' interest in learning the Moral Creed subject through the media of Aqidatul Awwam nadzhom (verses rhyming). This research was carried out in two stages. Each of the stages was carried out in three meetings. The subjects included in this study were fifth-grade teachers and students of MI Asy-Syafi'iyyah Jatibarang, while the data collection techniques in this study were in the form of observations, in-depth interviews, and tests. This study focused on the implementation of the muhafadhoh nadhom of Aqidatul Awwam on students’ interest in Moral Creed subject and the supporting and inhibiting factors of this method. The results of this study indicate that students' interest and learning outcomes increase with the method of Aqidatul Awwam muhafadhoh nadhom. The supporting factors of the implementation of Aqidatul Awwam muhafadhoh nadhom are: (1) the majority of students in MI Asy-Syafi’iyyah have been fluent in Qur’an recitation, (2) nadhom is sung in catchy rhymes, (3) the implementation is consistent, and (4) it is implemented in the Moral Creed subject. Nevertheless, the inhibiting factor is it takes a long time. Keywords: muhafadhoh, nadhom, aqidatul awwam, moral creed
