Abstract

The incidence of primary postpartum hemorrhage in Indonesia is 70% caused by uterine atony. Anemia is one of the causes of uterine atony, the incidence of anemia in pregnant women in Indonesia in 2013 was 37.1% and there was an increase in 2018 to 48.9%. This study aims to analyze the relationship between low maternal hemoglobin levels and the incidence of uterine atony. This research is secondary research using a systematic study with a time limit of articles taken from 2015-to 2019. Article searches were systematically reviewed through ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and SINTA databases. The final results were 10 articles according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Calculation of results using Meta-analysis with the help of Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) software. Comparing the odds ratio and confidence interval of Hb levels compared to the incidence of uterine atony. The results showed OR 4,966 (95% CI 3,842 – 6,418) and a p-value <0.001, so there was a relationship between hemoglobin levels of pregnant women 11gr/dL with the incidence of uterine atony. In the results of the heterogeneity test of the sample, the I-Squared result is 62.592%, which indicates the I-squared heterogeneity value is > 50% so the sample used is heterogeneous. The results showed that there was a relationship between low hemoglobin levels and the incidence of uterine atony. Regular pregnancy check-ups are needed so that pregnant women can detect hemoglobin levels as early as an indicator of anemia in pregnancy so that prevention and treatment of anemia can be carried out properly. Abstract

The success of breastfeeding is determined in the first 24 hours after the mother gives birth. In the first hours after giving birth, the hormone oxytocin is released which is responsible for the production of breast milk, namely through Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (IMD). IMD is generally only applied to mothers with normal deliveries, so this study aims to analyze the effect of IMD on the smoothness of breastfeeding in mothers who gave birth by caesarean section. This study uses a quasi-experimental design with a posttest only with control group design. The study population was all mothers who gave birth by cesarean section at the Curup Hospital, Kab. Rejang Lebong Bengkulu Province for 24 days was carried out from December 08, 2020 to December 31, 2020. Sampling was carried out purposively with a total of 20 people in the intervention group and 20 people in the control group. In the intervention group, IMD was given for one hour, while the control group was not given IMD. The statistical test used is the dependent t-test. The results of the analysis showed that there were significant differences in the parameters of smooth breastfeeding, namely the frequency of feeding, the frequency of urination, the frequency of defecation, the squeeze of breast milk, and the feeling of tension in the breasts, in the intervention group and the control group (p-value <0.001). This shows that there is an effect of IMD on the smoothness of breastfeeding in mothers giving birth by cesarean section. IMD can stimulate the secretion of the hormone prolactin which is in charge of producing breast milk, and the hormone oxytocin for the release of breast milk, causing smooth milk production. The implementation of IMD can be included in hospital service standards not only for mothers with normal deliveries, but also for mothers with cesarean delivery. Abstract

Spina bifida is a neural tube defect in which incomplete closing of the spine membrane that occurs in the lumbar and sacral. The defect of spina bifida can be motoric defect or sensoric defect. Clinical manifestation of spina bifida can be appear as limb anaesthesia, total paralysis, incontinensia urine and alvi that can cause recurrent uronary tract infection, renal insufficiency, and nephropathy reflux. Spina bifida can cause hindbrain herniation and hydrocephalus. Diagnosis of spina bifida can use 2D ultrasonography, 3D ultrasonography, and MRI. Procedure surgery of spina bifida can be done with postnatal surgery, prenatal surgery, or percutaneous minimally invasive fetoscopic surgery. Percutaneous minimally invasive fetoscopic surgery is a procedure to close the defect of fetus while intrauterine using minimal access with three or four trocar and using partial amniotic carbon dioxide insufflation (PACI) without laparotomy or hysterectomy. The adventage of percutaneous minimally invasive fetoscopic surgery compare with postnatal surgery and prenatal surgery is improve baby’s motoric function, decrease risk of ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt, decrease hindbrain herniation, decrease fluid in hydrocephalus, decrease risk of preterm birth, decrease risk of spontaneous membrane rupture, oligohydramnione, uterine dehiscence, uterine rupture, less pain in two days, and mother can go home from the hospital in a weeks. Abstract

The prevalence of anemia caused by iron deficiency is still a problem for adolescent girls in Kediri Regency. Based on data at SMA 1 Mojo, it is known that there were 85 students suffering from anemia in 2019 and from 2020 to January there were 32 students. This study uses a reminder application used as a reminder of the time to take blood-added tablets. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the use of an Android application-based reminder to drink blood-added tablets on the compliance of anemic adolescents in SMA 1 Mojo, Kediri Regency. The research design used one group pretest-posttest. A sample of 30 students was selected by simple random sampling. The results showed that the mean of pretest compliance was 3.2 and the average posttest was 6.5. The results of the analysis using the Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test showed that there was a significant difference in adherence before and after being given a reminder application (p-value <0.001). This increase in compliance occurs because of the reminder application as a reminder to consume blood-added tablets according to the time recommended by health workers. Abstract

The incidence of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhoea) in MAN 2 Jember was 61.6%. This study aims to determine the difference in the effectiveness of William's flexion exercise with warm compresses on primary dysmenorrhoea pain. The research design used a Quasi-Experiment with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of 37 female students and the sample taken was a sample that met the inclusion criteria contained in chapter three as many as 34 students, the sample was divided into 2 treatment groups, namely 17 students were treated with William's Flexion exercise and 17 students were treated with warm compresses. This research uses simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used the Standard Operational Procedure and Numeric Rating Scale, with the Wilcoxon match pairs test and the Mann Whitney U test. Wilcoxon test results p-value 0.000, and an error level of 5% (2-sided test), which means that there is a difference in the level of dysmenorrhoea pain before and after being given warm compresses and William's flexion exercise and the results of the Mann Whitney U test obtained Z value = -1.285 with an error rate of 5%, then -1.96 <-1.285 <+1.96, meaning that there is no difference in the effectiveness of William's Flexion Exersice with warm compresses on primary dysmenorrhoea. The two methods are equally effective in reducing primary dysmenorrhoea pain, although there are slight differences. Where a warm compress is better at reducing the pain intensity of primary dysmenorrhoea. Keywords: Warm Compress, William's Flexion Exercise, Primary Dysmenorrhoea

Abstract

The first 1000 days of life are critical times in the child's growth and development stage. Nutrition and stimulation received by infants have a long-term impact on life during adulthood. Baby spa is a form of stimulation that combines baby massage and swimming which has many benefits for babies. The purpose of this study was to determine changes in body weight of infants aged 6-12 months before and after getting a baby spa. The design of the study was comparative analytic, with a prospective approach. The study population of 35 infants using accidental sampling technique obtained a sample of 32 infants aged 6-12 months who met the inclusion criteria. The research instrument used baby weight scales. Data analysis using paired t test. The results showed that there was a change in body weight of infants aged 6-12 months before and after receiving a baby spa with an average body weight before baby spa 8092.19 grams to 8673.44 grams after 2 treatments (p value <0.001). Baby spas can increase vagus nerve tone (10th brain nerve) which causes an increase in the levels of the enzyme absorption of gastrin and insulin, so that food absorption will be better and can increase the baby's weight. A baby spa with regular frequency is needed to maximize the growth and development of the baby. Keywords: Baby Weight, Baby Spa

Abstract

The decline in immunization coverage in Indonesia is followed by high mortality and morbidity for toddlers, one of which is caused by Acute Respiratory Infections. The government conducted an immunization program aimed at primary prevention of diseases that cause ARI with pentabio immunization. This research aims to determine the correlation between the completeness and accuracy of pentabio basic immunization with the incidence of acute respiratory infections (ARI) in toddlers in Dinoyo Public Health Center in Malang. The design of this research was correlation analytic using documentation studies on medical records, immunization registers and infant cohorts through a retrospective approach. The sample used was all sick toddlers who checked themselves in Dinoyo Community Health Center Malang City in July-September 2019 who met the inclusion criteria of 164 respondents using total sampling technique. The results of the analysis using the Chi Square Test obtained p-value of 0,000 (? ? 0.05) followed by a Contingency Coefficient Test with a value of C = 0.426 indicating that there was a significant relationship between the completeness and accuracy of pentabio basic immunization with the incidence of acute respiratory infections at toddler at Dinoyo Public Health Center in Malang City with a moderate level of closeness. Pentabio basic immunization given precisely and completely can prevent ARI in toddlers. Health facilities and midwives are expected to increase public awareness about the importance of completeness and accuracy in providing basic immunization for pentabio according to the basic immunization delivery schedule. Abstract

The high problem of adolescent reproductive health is caused by the lack of basic information about reproductive health in adolescents, so adolescents tend to engage in risky behavior. The study was conducted to analyze the effect of peer education on the level of knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about reproductive health. The design of this study was a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest group design. Data collection using interview and observation methods. The study population was all groups of adolescents in Malang City and Regency, with a sample of adolescents who were in Malang City (Kedung Kandang Health Center Area) and Malang District (Jabung Health Center Area). The sample size was 85 teenagers selected by simple random sampling. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data were processed descriptively and analyzed using a statistical t-test. The results showed that there were significant differences in pre-test and post-test in the level of adolescent knowledge (p value <0.001) and adolescent attitudes (p value <0.001). Most adolescents in the intervention group (providing counseling by peer educators) did not support free sex and early marriage (97.3%). Health education by peer educators can remind adolescents' knowledge and attitudes about reproductive health, so that it can be developed for promotive efforts for adolescents.
