Abstract

Physical fitness is the ability of the body to make adjustments to the physical burden given to members of the police in carrying out daily work without causing excessive fatigue and still be able to enjoy their free time. Components of physical fitness related to health and skills are cardiorespiratory, muscle endurance, muscle strength and body composition. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between macronutrient consumption, body mass index status, and smoking status with physical fitness at Palembang police district officers. Data of macro nutrients intake were collected using 24-hours recall. Physical fitness levels are measured using Cooper's way. The design of this study was Cross-sectional by taking a random sample of 56 male police officers. The analysis results using chi-square concluded that there is a relationship between energy intake, carbohydrate intake, with fitness level (p≤0.05). There is a relationship between body mass index and smoking status, and physical fitness (p≤0.05). There is no relationship between protein and fat intake with physical fitness status (p>0.05). The results of the multivariate analysis obtained the most dominant relationship with physical fitness levels is BMI status and smoking status. It is recommended that police members improve physical fitness status to take some exercises that are useful to enhance physical fitness levels, namely sit ups, push-ups, squat jumps to run or jogging regularly. Police officers control their ideal weight by eating a balanced diet and not smoking

Abstract

This study aimed to make disaster formula food based on traditional Balinese local food quality, nutritious, safe and in accordance with Balinese culture so that it can be accepted to cope with food availability in a state of disaster. The development of the disaster formula is based on the traditional Balinese jaja satuh meal made from glutinous rice flour and brown sugar with the substitution of treatment using green beans powder, peanuts, and cashews as a source of protein, and Moringa leaf powder as a source of food fiber. The study was designed in a randomized block design with six formulations and three replications. The results showed that the selected treatment of the formulation was F4 (20 g glutinous rice flour, 25g peanut powder, 5 g Moringa leaf powder, and 50 g brown sugar) with a degree of preference for color, aroma, texture, taste and overall acceptance of the like value.This formula has a water content of 7.18%, ash 1.34%, protein 16.41%, fat 13.53%, carbohydrates 61.48%, food fiber 18.87%, Fe 6.23 ppm and total energy of 433.27 per 100 gram formula. This formula is microbiologically safe with a shelf life more than 10 days. One portion of Balinese traditional local food-based disaster formula as much as 50 g can contribute energy of 216.64 kcal (10.31%), protein 8,205 g (16.41%), and fat 6.765 g (16.91%) for the standard emergency food is 2100 kcal, 50 g protein and 40 g fat.

Abstract

Bagi mahasiswa pendidikan olahraga, tinggi badan dan bentuk otot merupakan unsurpenting karena dapat menunjang penampilannya. Kepedulian terhadap ukuran dan bentuktubuh mendorong mahasiswa pendidikan olahraga untuk melakukan perilaku diet. Perilakudiet yang salah dapat mempengaruhi status gizi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahuihubungan antara body image dengan perilaku diet dan status gizi pada mahasiswa ProgramStudi Pendidikan Olahraga Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Penelitian bersifatobservasional menggunakan metode cross sectional dengan sampel penelitian mahasiswaPendidikan Olahraga Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta tahun angkatan 2020 sejumlah64 responden yang dipilih dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data body imagediperoleh dengan menggunakan kuesioner Multidimensional Body Self RelationQuestionnaire-Appearance Scale (MBRSQ-AS) sejumlah 34 item pertanyaan. Data perilakudiet menggunakan kuesioner sejumlah 26 item pertanyaan. Status gizi diukur dengantimbangan digital dan microtoice yang dinyatakan dalam Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT). Datadianalisis dengan uji rank spearman untuk melihat hubungan body image dengan perilakudiet dan uji pearson product moment untuk melihat hubungan body image dengan statusgizi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 45,3% responden memiliki body image negatif, 50%responden memiliki perilaku diet tidak sehat dan 40,6% responden memiliki status gizitidak normal. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara body imagedengan perilaku diet (p= 0,001) tetapi tidak terdapat hubungan antara body image denganstatus gizi (p= 0,408).

Abstract

Background: The prevalence of people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is ≥90% of the total diabetics worldwide. The formulation of dadih of cow’s milk with the addition of yacon tuber syrup can potentially be a synbiotic product. Consumption of synbiotic products in people with T2DM can provide a glycemic control effect. Objective: Analyzed the effect of adding yacon tuber syrup on total lactic acid bacteria (LAB), pH, total acid, and acceptability of cow’s milk dadih. Method: The research design was experimental with a single-factor completely randomized design (CRD) and three repetitions. The method used to analyze the total LAB test uses total plate count (TPC), the pH test using a pH meter, the total acid test using the acid-base titration method, and the acceptability test using an organoleptic test with a hedonic scale (1-9). Results: the addition of yacon tuber syrup affected the pH value (p= 0,016). While, it did not show a significant effect (p>0,05) between the addition of yacon tuber syrup on total LAB, total acid, and organoleptic. Conclusion: Product F2 with added 20% yacon tuber syrup was the best formula with the highest total LAB and acceptability.

Abstract

Prevalensi masalah gizi di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Meningkatnya prevalensi masalah gizi khususnya pada kelompok usia dewasa awal salah satu penyebabnya adalah perubahan perilaku dan gaya hidup. Kegiatan nongkrong menjadi gaya hidup konsumtif yang berkembang saat ini dan diikuti dengan kebiasaan konsumsi minuman manis dan aktivitas sedentary. Gaya hidup ini dapat meningkatkan kejadian masalah gizi seperti obesitas dan kegemukan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui hubungan gaya hidup nongkrong, aktivitas sedentary, dan konsumsi minuman manis dengan status gizi pada mahasiswa. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian observational dengan desain cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling didapatkan jumlah sampel 56 mahasiswa dengan kriteria bersedia menjadi responden, mahasiswa perguruan tinggi, usia 19 – 29 tahun, dan memiliki kebiasaan nongkrong (minimal 2 kali/pekan). Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman Rho. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan gaya hidup nongkrong dan aktivitas sedentary dengan status gizi pada mahasiswa. Namun, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan konsumsi minuman manis dengan status gizi pada mahasiswa.

Abstract

Hipertensi adalah suatu kondisi kronis yang prevalensinya semakin hari semakin meningkat, termasuk di Indonesia yang mencapai 34,1%. Jenis kelamin, usia, stress, dan kurang aktifitas fisik merupakan beberapa faktor risiko kejadian hipertensi. Susu rendah lemak mengandung sejumlah zat gizi yang terkait dengan efek menurunkan tekanan darah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian susu rendah lemak terhadap tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik pada wanita postmenopause penderita hipertensi. Ini adalah penelitian eksperimental pada 19 subjek dengan riwayat hipertensi minimal satu bulan yaitu wanita postmenopause yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Subjek kelompok intervensi diberikan susu rendah lemak 2x/hari selama 2 minggu. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji Shapiro-Wilk, paired t-test, Wilcoxon, independent t-test, dan Mann Whitney. Terjadi penurunan tekanan darah sistolik kelompok intervensi sebesar 8,5 mmHg dan tekanan darah diastolik sebesar 5,5 mmHg setelah pemberian susu rendah lemak selama 2 minggu. Perbedaan tekanan darah sistolik kelompok kontrol sebesar 1,1 mmHg sedangkan tekanan darah diastolik sebesar 0,6 mmHg. Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik antara susu rendah lemak dengan tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik. Namun, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan secara klinis antara susu rendah lemak dengan tekanan darah sistolik dan diastolik.
