Abstract

Inhil Sarimas Kelapa (PT. ISK) is a company engaged in the coconut processing industry, and the company is located in Sungai Gantang Village, Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau. The company has 28 departments with various main tasks to support the company's activities in achieving the goals set. All departments use IT equipment such as software and hardware, so there is often damage to equipment that requires repairs from the IT department. Currently to make a complaint and repair problems at PT. Inhil Sarimas Kelapa still uses the manual system by filling out forms on paper, and the form is delivered to the IT department for processing. The complaint process is very ineffective and inefficient because it takes a long time. As a solution to these problems, a web-based complaint and repair complaint application is designed to make it easier for employees to do their jobs. Software that is used to create complaints applications includes Xampp, Notepad ++, Hypertext Processor and MySql. The results to be achieved are to facilitate and assist employees in reporting complaints and provide alternative solutions to the problems encountered.

Abstract

The application of the User Centered Design (UCD) method is needed to improve the school website by redesigning it. The problems experienced by schools are usually in the form of a static website and an unattractive web appearance. This will be detrimental to the school, because the website is a door for information and school promotion. posting important news and announcements on the website in the hope that students and parents can obtain information more quickly and accurately. The UCD method starts from the plan, design, prototype and review. This step begins with interviews, field observations and distributing questionnaires to website users. Such as teachers, students, parents and the general public. The results provide a lot of input and optimize the appearance of mobile-based websites to attract more interest and better access by users. With the hope that students and parents can get information on news and important announcements more quickly and accurately on the website.

Abstract

This study aims to implement Viola Jones into a simple face detection system by utilizing the existing library in Open CV and using the Python programming language. In this study, there were 10 sample images consisting of 8 images of human faces and 2 images of animals. The results of the study were 9 images were successfully detected and 1 image was less precise in determining the face. The system can detect the presence of several (more than one) faces in an image. The system can also detect an object that resembles a face when the object has the same contour as a human face, for example, a face on a statue.

Abstract

Library visit is an indicator of college academic literacy. The current problem was a decrease on the students’ visit and read at the library of STMIK Amik Riau. Based on the visit data in the library, there was a reduction of the students’ visit for each year, as well as books lent by the students has decreased significantly. The purpose of this study was to identify the correlation between the library facilities and the library services on the students’ reading interest at the library of STMIK Amik Riau by using Panel Data. This study used qualitative and quantitative approach. The population of this study were the visitors at STMIK Amik Riau Library that chosen by using simple random sampling. The data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The method used to identify the interest on the students’ to read in the library was Panel Data regression. The procedures of this method were to determine the Panel Data Regression Model Estimation, the selection of Panel Data Regression Model (Estimated Technique) which includes the F Statistical Test (Chow Test), Hausman Test, and Lagrange Multiplier Test. Furthermore, conducted testing the Classical Assumptions (Multicollinearity and Heteroscedasticity) which includes the Multicollinearity test and heteroscedasticity test, followed by a feasibility test (Goodness of Fit) with the F-test hypothesis and Partial t-test. The result of this study showed that there was a correlation between the library facilities and the library services on the students’ reading interest at library of STMIK Amik Riau.

Abstract

Government services for the public are currently utilizing technology, especially in the city of Pekanbaru. The government has currently centralized all services for the public, both online and offline, in public service malls. The type of service that uses technology, especially for online services, has received criticism in online media such as Twitter. To see the public's response to Pekanbaru city government services, especially in terms of technology, this study will use sentiment analysis to see positive, negative, and neutral comments. The method used is to see the accuracy generated using the Naïve Bayes Classifier (NBC) method. Bayes classifier is a statistical classifier, where the classifier can predict the probability of class membership of a data tuple that will fall into a certain class, according to the probability calculation. Accuracy results are obtained by dividing training data and testing data with a comparison of 70%:30% with an accuracy value of 55.56%, Precision 64%, recall 80%, f-score 71.2%.
