This journal covered studies on tourism, leisure studies and policies related to its development in Indonesia. The expected essays shall also cover studies on Indonesian tourism which linking with issues of social, cultural, economic, politics, management, health, environmental, technology, policies, etc. The goal of Journal of Indonesian Tourism and Policies Studies, is to become portal and instrument to develop science-of-tourism in indonesia from various aspects and perspectives. Hence, not only as paper-based field-research, this journal shall be the portal for applied studies on tourism and the related literature reviews. This journal is published twice a year, namely January-June and July-December. the language used is English with a plagiarism check <20%. Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai proses persiapan kepesertaan PT. Debindo ITE terhadap berbagai universitas dalam pre-event pameran Indonesia Building Technology Expo (Indobuildtech) 2017 di Jakarta, serta implementasi yang di temui berikut solusi pemecahan masalahnya. PT. Debindo memberikan kesempatan kepada 23 universitas sebagai exhibitor pameran indobuildtech 2017 dengan tujuan supaya universitas tersebut mampu menunjukan hasil karyanya sebagai bagian dari industri arsitektur sesuai dengan tema pameran, dan juga sebagai citra baik perusahaan dengan profesionalitas  industri terkait.Kata kunci: MICE, Proses Persiapan, Pameran, Indobuildtech 2017

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan transformasi Desa Oro-oro Ombodari pertanian menjadi kawasan pariwisata modern. Oro-oro Ombo adalah salahsatu desa di Kota Batu yang sedang mengalami perkembangan pariwisata secarapesat karena lokasinya yang berdekatan dengan berbagai taman wisata buatan.Penelitian ini ingin melihat Desa Oro-oro Ombo setelah tahun 2008, dimana padatahun tersebut Batu Night Spectacular mulai dibangun di atas Tanah Kas Desa(TKD) Oro-oro Ombo. Sebelumnya, Oro-oro Ombo adalah kawasan pertaniansebagai penghasil padi, jagung, dan buah-buahan. Pada masa itu Oro-oro Omboadalah daerah yang sepi dengan jalan raya yang minim penerangan. Namun,sejak dibangunnya Batu Night Spectacular, kawasan ini berubah drastis menjadidaerah yang sangat ramai. Dibangunnya Batu Night Spectacular di Desa Oro-oroOmbo memancing masyarakat untuk memanfaatkan keramaian perkembanganpariwisata dengan membangun usaha pariwisata. Utamanya adalah usahapenginapan dan warung makan. Dalam kurun waktu 6 tahun, 2 hotel dan 93homestay telah berdiri di desa ini. Jumlah ini belum meliputi warung makan,toko usaha dagang, dan restaurant. Sebagian besar usaha masyarakat dalamrangka merespon perkembangan pariwisata ini dibangun di atas lahan pertanian.Perkembangan pariwisata pada akhirnya mengubah mata pencaharian masyarakat,dari yang semula pertanian menjadi pengusaha pariwisata. Dari skala desa,penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi refleksi atas transformasi yang terjadidi Kota Batu yaitu dari kota pertanian menjadi kota wisata. Penelitian dilakukanselama 6 bulan dari Juli sampai Desember 2015, dengan metode pengumpulandata berupa observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur.Kata Kunci: Batu Night Spectacular, Pariwisata, Pertanian

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe development of halal tourism in Indonesia is carried out in a sustainable manner, aiming to realize the improvement of the personality and abilities of the Indonesian people, by utilizing science and technology and taking into account the challenges of global development. Halal tourism development is developed with an approach to economic growth and equity for the people's welfare and regional development-oriented development. This study uses a qualitative method by using books and other literatures such as journals, online news, and others as the main object. The increase in Muslim tourists from year to year is an opportunity and a challenge for the tourism sector to develop halal tourism. Many countries (both Muslim and non-Muslim majority) are trying to develop halal tourism. Based on the existing concepts and principles of halal tourism, these countries generally only try to create a Muslim-friendly atmosphere. The development of halal tourism needs to be done, one of which is by conducting various researches or studies.Keywords: Opportunity, economic growth, halal tourism

Abstract

This Journal discusses the analysis of the implementation of marketing strategies carried out in Bintan Island. In this Journal also explained the obstacles that occur in marketing tourism in Bintan Island. This Journal was compiled using data collection and interview research. Abstract

The Kota Tua Jakarta area is one of the leading tourist attractions in DKI Jakarta Province based on cultural heritage. Currently, the City Government of DKI Jakarta has carried out a revitalization, namely the construction of a rearrangement of the old city, so that it becomes an urban tourism area in the past (history). The purpose of this research is to build a community empowerment program as a tourist attraction and create a creative economy in Kota Tua. The concepts used are empowerment, community, attraction and creative economy. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and literature study. This research resulted in a community empowerment program, namely building community awareness and communication in creating economic improvements for the welfare of communities around Kota Tua. To realize the need for community information community mapping, namely the initial stage of conducting initial mapping of communities in Kota Tua, designing community empowerment for economic improvement and building the community's creative economy.Keywords: Empowerment, Community, Tourist Attraction, Creative Economy

Abstract

ABSTRACTService Quality Of Concierge At DoubleTree By Hilton Jakarta – Diponegoro. The focus of this study is to discuss about the service quality of concierge at DoubleTree By Hilton Jakarta - Diponegoro on running the operational activities and giving the excellent service to the guest related to five dimensions of service quality. This research is descriptive research. The data were collected by means of questionnaire distribution to 30 hotel guest. The researcher suggests that the amount of concierge equipment availability to assisting operational activities must be added more and the concerness of team member concierge to every guest must be improved not only to create engagement but also to give special attention to the guest so they feel cared for during their stay in the hotel.                                                                                     Keywords: Concierge, service, service quality, guest

Abstract

Students of DIII Hospitality Harapan Bersama Polytechnic inTegal are equipped with a number of productive courses, one of which is the Pastry course, where this course learns from the preparation, manufacturing, serving to storage of bread and cake with standard recipe specifications and company practices. But the knowledge of some students is still very low in the material "Flour" so it is feared that it will affect the readiness in the implementation of pastry practices. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of student knowledge related to the understanding of flour, types of flour, flour function, how to store flour, and use of flour in the material "Flour" for the readiness of pastry practice. The research method use descriptive methods with descriptive statistical analysis. The population is the Hospitality Study Program DIII students, amounting to 35 people. The instrument used in this study is a multiple choice objective test. The results of this study indicate that the level of student knowledge regarding flour material related to understanding, type, function and method of storing flour is quite good criteria and the level of student knowledge regarding flour material related to the use of flour in making pastry products is in good criteria. Suggestions submitted by researchers for pastry lecturers in order to continue to improve students' knowledge competence in flour material by giving assignments in the form of papers on flour material that is still poorly understood.Keywords: Knowledge, Flour, Practice Readiness

Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk membahas Proses pengadaan barang, Proses pengarsipan dokumen-dokumen yang dilakukan staff purchasing, dan Kendala yang dialami staff purchasing selama proses pengadaan barang. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembuatan dan penulisan Tugas Karya Akhir ini adalah metode observasi lapangan dimana penulis ikut berpatisipasi langsung ke lapangan untuk melihat, meneliti, dan melakukan. Penulis juga menggunakan metode wawancara untuk mendapatkan jawaban langsung dari pelaku industri. Kata kunci: Proses, Pengadaan barang, Barang, Pengarsipan, Kendala.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai proses pengajuan media partner pada ACI World Congress 2016 yang di organisasikan oleh PT Fasen Creative Quality. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, interview dan studi lapangan. Peneliti menemukan bahwa ACI World Congress 2016 mempunyai media partner nasional dan internasional untuk membantu mempublikasikan acara ini. Hasil penelitian ini memiliki lima proses dalam pengajuan media partner dengan menggunakan validasi data, penawaran media, persetujuan media, penayangan iklan dan bukti penayangan iklan.Kata kunci: ACI, kongres, media partner, pengajuan, proses

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all sectors including the education sector, forcing the face-to-face learning process to switch to online learning. There are many obstacles when conducting online learning in vocational education, especially hospitality study programs, including during practical courses. In situations and conditions like this, the blended learning model is deemed appropriate and can be used as an alternative learning model that is able to combine online and face-to-face learning processes. This study intends to analyze the effect of the teaching and learning process through the blended learning model in increasing the learning independence of students in the hospitality study program at Harapan Bersama Tegal Polytechnic. This research is expected to be able to encourage students to follow the blended learning learning process properly so that there is an increase in learning independence. This research is a quantitative research with a survey design. The research will be conducted at the Harapan Bersama Tegal Polytechnic with the research subjects, namely students of the hospitality study program at the Harapan Bersama Tegal Polytechnic, totaling 69 students. Analysis of the data used to answer the research problem is to use regression analysis. This research has succeeded in proving that there is a positive and significant effect of blended learning on the learning independence of students of the Hospitality Study Program at the Harapan Bersama Polytechnic, Tegal. Keywords: learning, blended learning, independence
