Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze public service advertisements related to HIV AIDS, the target is the community and especially for teenagers. This study uses a qualitative method which is carried out by carrying out describing activities, interpreting activities and also explaining a form of meaning from connotations in public service advertisements. In the semiotic analysis method in visual communication, it can be used for visual data analysis methods and also verbal data as a method in reading public service advertisements in viewing various forms of perspective ranging from culture, art, visual communication design as well as social and language.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze translation strategies in Indonesian subtitles of a movie entitled Encanto. The research method of this study was a qualitative method and used Gottlieb (1992)'s theory of subtitling strategies. Data for the study were collected from dialogues and Indonesian subtitles in a movie entitled Encanto, such as: expansion, paraphrase, transfer, imitation, transcription, dislocation, condensation, decimation, deletion, and resignation. Based on the analysis, the researcher found 8 out of 10 subtitling strategies from 216 data, with transfer as the most used strategy in the movie entitled Encanto.

Abstract

Dampak yang terjadi saat pandemi Covid-19 salah satunya pada aspek pendidikan yaitu mengharuskan menjalankan proses pembelajaran secara jarak jauh, yakni siswa belajar dan guru mengajar harus tetep berjalan meskipun peserta didik berada di rumah. Dampaknya akan menimbulkan tekanan fisik maupun psikis (mental). Menemukan Teknik Komunikasi Interpersonal untuk Guru dan Siswa untuk Digunakan Saat Menangani Kegiatan Pembelajaran Online disaat Pandemi Covid-19 Pada Kelas XI Di SMA Negeri 17 Kabupaten Tangerang. Metode yang digunakan penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa guru berhasil menerapkan kegiatan belajar pada siswa melalui komunikasi interpersonal. Dimana terdapat (komunikasi secara satu arah) saat adanya kerumitan seperti dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran, (komunikasi secara dua arah) dimana peran guru dan siswa melakukan diskusi, dialog multi arah perlu adanya hubungan yang dinamis proses pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan atau mengoptimalkan siswa agar aktif di lakukan dengan sikap (keterbukaan), guru secara terbuka berbicara kepada siswa, (empati) dimana guru ikut merasakan perasaan simpati kepada siswa, (sikap mendukung) dukungan di berikan guru yaitu berupa motivasi kepada siswa, (perasaan positif) tidak menilai buruk kepada siswa dan (kesetaraan) dengan ini guru memandang semua siswa sama tanpa membedakan.

Abstract

Kasus kekerasan oknum aparat kepolisian yang cukup mendapat sorotan tajam dari masyarakat adalah kekerasan yang dilakukan oknum polisi yang membanting demonstran mahasiswa di Kota Tangerang. Kejadian ini menjadi sorotan karena polisi seharusnya memiliki peran yang sangat penting bagi masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis struktur wacana pemberitaan kekerasan oknum polisi terhadap demonstran mahasiswa di Kota Tangerang pada media massa online Kompas.com dengan menggunakan teknik analisis wacana Van Dijk untuk menganalisa elemen teks, struktur makro, superstruktur, dan struktur mikro pada pemberitaan di Kompas.com. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa, pertama struktur makro pada pemberitaan Kompas.com, topik teks berita yaitu tindak kekerasan oknum polisi terhadap mahasiswa pendemo di Kota Tangerang, kemudian dijabarkan lebih lanjut ke dalam subtopik. Kedua, pada superstruktur, adalah struktur wacana yang berkaitan dengan teks yang pada intinya berisi informasi bahwa kekerasan yang dilakukan oknum polisi berpotensi melanggar HAM dan yang bersangkutan tersebut sudah ditindak lanjuti. Ketiga, struktur mikro, yang mengkaji bagaimana makna wacana dapat ditangkap dari bagian kecil teks, yaitu latar, detail, tujuan, struktur kalimat, koherensi, kata ganti, grafik dan metafora pada keseluruhan berita. Secara keseluruhan penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Kompas.com menerapkan nilai-nilai tanggung jawab sosial dalam dalam menyampaikan informasi dalam agendanya wacananya.

Abstract

The purposes of this study include: to analyze the marketing mix in Denai Lama Tourism Village based on tourist characteristics to increase tourist visits in Denai Lama Tourism Village. This study uses a quantitative-qualitative approach or mix method. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. This study used the method of observation, interviews and questionnaires. Questionnaires were used to determine and analyze the characteristics of tourists and the marketing mix in the Tourism Village of Denai Lama. The number of samples was determined using Slovin's theory, and 100 samples were obtained. The results of the questionnaire were processed using Microsoft Excel calculations with the presentation of the data using a pie chart. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of tourists in Denai Lama Tourism Village are dominated by age: 21-30 years old, educational background: high school, income Rp. 1,100,000- Rp. 2.000.000, Gender: Women with family cycle: Married Children aged 2-12 years. Based on the psychographic aspect of the mid-centric tourist type. The application of the marketing mix in the Denai Lama Tourism Village has been implemented well, but there are still certain things that must be considered and improved so that tourists increase. Of the 7Ps of the marketing mix in the Denai Lama Tourism Village, the elements of Place, Physical Evidence and Promotion have the lowest value among other elements, so the marketing mix elements really need to be considered and improved to increase tourist visits in the Denai Lama Tourism Village.

Abstract

This study was aimed to analyze the position of the development tourist destination of Taman Wisata Iman Sitinjo at Dairi Regency. This research used descriptive qualitative research. The technique of data collection of this research was through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation methods. The results of this study indicated that the position of developing tourist destinations in Taman Wisata Iman Sitinjo was in a stagnation position. In this phase, the challenges that will be faced by managers in the development of the Taman Wisata Iman Sitinjo were by creating new innovations, they are :  (1) Involving local communities related to development in order to create new innovations, (2) Conducting trainings, seminars and meetings that can improve the quality of the performance of officers in service, (3) Identify or evaluate the performance of freelance daily workers, (4) Build and improve tourism facilities and infrastructure maintenance, (5) Organize new attractions both naturally, man-made and culturally, and (6) Creating a simple Internet Reservation System (IRS) to facilitate online checking, ordering and payment. It was concluded that the position of developing tourist destinations in the Taman Wisata Iman Sitinjo was in the stagnation stage based on the facts on the ground.

Abstract

Mutu Pendidikan merupakan dua istilah yang berasal dari mutu dan pendidikan, yang artinya menujuk pada kualitas produk yang dihasilkan lembaga pendidikan atau sekolah. Pendidikan yang bermutu adalah pendidikan yang memenuhi harapan dan mampu memenuhi keinginan dan kebutuhan masyarakat, untuk mewujudkan harapan masyarakat, sekolah, dan guru harus mempunyai harapan yang tinggi terhadap siswa. Literasi merupakan yang harus bisa dikuasai oleh setiap peserta didik. Dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, banyak sekolah-sekolah yang menerapkan literasi kemampuan membaca dan menulis peserta didik. Salah satu cara dalam peningkatan literasi emmbaca itu bisa dilakukan dengan melalui book club, Sehingga artikel ini membahas tentang Manfaat peningkatan mutu pendidikan di sekolah SD, Kemampuan Membaca Peserta Didik, dan Kegiatan Book Club. Metode yang kami gunakan dalam proyek ini adalah metode praktik. Metode praktik merupakan upaya memberi kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk mendapatkan pengalaman langsung. Pengalaman mendorong peserta didik untuk merefleksi atau melihat kembali pengalaman-pengalaman yang dialami.

Abstract

White water rafting is a sport that has a recreational aspect and has now become one of the mainstays of Indonesian tourism in the last 10 years. In the North Sumatra region, there are three locations that are featured rafting objects and one of them is white water rafting at Sei Bah Bolon which is located in Buluh Duri Village, Sipispis District, Serdang Bedagai (Sergai) Regency. White water rafting tourism in Sei Bah Bolon has tremendous potential that can still be explored and developed in the future, where until now, the development of white water rafting tourism has resulted from good cooperation between the relevant institutions and the institutions that are quite diverse from formal and informal institutions. With the collaboration between these institutions, which is considered the main factor in the development of rafting tourism in Sei Bah Bolon, this thesis uses a qualitative research method, where data is collected through many interactions carried out with various parties, both in institutions that are actively involves, as well as at the rafting tourist sites. From the many interactions, results are obtained that show how the success, shortcomings, hopes, and future potential of tourism development in Sei Bah Bolon are obtained. With the existence of other white water rafting attractions that are benchmarks in terms of rafting development, in which there is also a collectivity from institutions in its development, it is indeed concluded that collective cooperation is very important for the potential for tourism development in the Sei Bah rafting tourist attraction. Bolon, so that by paying attention to things that develop and to achieve sustainability, in the future it remains to be re-identified what institutions and how their duties and functions will be related to rafting in the future.

Abstract

This research portrays about the implementation of maxims of politeness in the first episode of Bridgerton Season 2, entitled Capital R Rake. The aim is finding out the maxims of politeness. The method used is qualitative descriptive method. The results shows that there are 15 data of Tact Maxim, 5 data of Generosity Maxim, 27 data of Approbation Maxim, 18 data of Modesty Maxim, 14 data of Agreement Maxim, and 7 data of Sympathy Maxim. The most maxim that appears is Approbation Maxim. The least maxim that appears in the movie is Generosity.

Abstract

This research is about an annotated translation which belongs to the area of translation with commentary. The problems of this research are: (1) the difficulties encountered by the researcher (as a translator) during the process of translation, and (2) the difficulties solved during the process of translation. The purposes of this research are: (1) to attain factual information concerning the problems faced by the researcher (as a translator) in translating the source text, and (2) to find out the plausible solutions of those difficulties referring to the principles of translation, the translation strategies, the theories of translation and the theories of both Indonesian and English languages. Introspective and retrospective are used as the methods of the research. The result of this research showed that from the 223 data collected, the researcher purposefully has chosen 25 data to be analyzed. The results of the analysis revealed that out of 223 data, the 25 analyzed data are literal (2 data), loan (2 data), calque (2 data), paraphrase: idiom (2 data) and phrasal verb (2 data), cohesion change (1 datum), unit shift (2 data), distribution change: expansion (2 data) and compression (2 data), explicitness change: implicit-explicit (2 data), transposition (2 data), cultural filtering: naturalization (1 datum) and adaptation (1 datum), and information change (2 data). The finding of this research is that not all of the thirty translation strategies and the six principles of translation are employed because there are only twenty-five data analyzed.
