Journal of Educational Analytics (JEDA) is a peer review and open-access journal that provides an international platform for disseminating research results and review articles in the field of education. This Journal is published four time per year at February, May, August and November by Formosa Publisher. It is aimed to publish original and contemprorary articles on the latest issues and trends occurring in education curriculum, instruction, learning, policy, and preparation of teachers with the aim to advance our knowledge of education theory and practice. All submitted manuscripts will be initially reviewed by editors and are then evaluated by a minimum of two reviewers through the blind review process. This is to ensure the quality of the published manuscripts in the journal.

Abstract

Keefektifan pembelajaran PKn terletak pada guru menyajikan materi dengan baik. Media yang digunakan harus sesuai dengan gaya belajar siswa. Penelitian ini mengkaji efektifitas media terhadap gaya belajar siswa SD. Metode kajian kepustakaan (library research) terkait hasil ujimedia dalam meningkatkan pembelajaran siswa. Namun hal tersebut berbeda pada keefektifan media pembelajaran pendidikan kewarganegaraan di SDN 250 Sinar Gading II, SDN 101927 lubuk Pakam dan di SD 056587 Pantai Sampah pada kelas III memiliki ke efektifan berbeda. Media di SDN 250 Sinar Gading II belum efektif guru mengajar dengan metode konvensional. SDN 101927 Kecamatan Lubuk Pakam lebih efektif guru telah menggunakan proyektor dalam presentasi pembelajaran PKn. SDN 056587 Pantai Sampah sangat efektif guru berinovatif mampu menggunakan media dengan baik dalam pembelajaran PKn.

Abstract

Kecakapan hidup merupakan  kompetensi yang harus dimiliki individu dalam melanjutkan aktivitas hidup sehari-hari. Konstruksi pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap berbasis masalah membekali siswa untuk memeliki kecakapan yang baik. Penelitian ini untuk bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan siswa untuk memecahkan masalah matematika menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBM). Pendekatan yang digunakan penelitian Tindakan kelas. Subjek adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Kecamatan Palipi yang berjumlah 35 siswa. Hasil 1) penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan  kemampauan pemecahan masalah siswa pada pokok bahasan sistem persamaan linear dua variabel di kelas VIII SMP Kecamatan Palipi setelah melewati siklus I dan II. Pada siklus I telah diperoleh secara klasikal terdapat 28 siswa atau 80% dari jumlah siswa yang mengikuti tes telah memiliki tingkat kemampuan konsep berada dalam kategori minimal cukup. Pada siklus II terdapat 33 siswa atau 94,29% dari jumlah siswa yang mengikuti tes telah memiliki tingkat kemampuan konsep berada dalam kategori minimal cukup. 2) penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan  kadar aktivitas aktif  siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar pada pokok bahasan sistem persamaan linear dua variabel di kelas VIII SMP Kecamatan Palipi setelah melewati siklus I dan II.

Abstract

The results of the assessment using CIPP as a decision. Evaluation decisions for the application of learning. This study aims to provide an assessment of project-based learning on classroom construction material for class V SDN 250 Sinar Gading II. Implementation of research with a qualitative approach by applying the CIPP evaluation model. Implementation of the overall evaluation of the aspects of context, input, process, and output of results/products to assess the effectiveness of project-based learning. The subjects were teachers and fourth grade students at SDN 250 Sinar Gading II. The data were obtained by primary and secondary observations and the data were analyzed and described. The overall project-based learning on the material for the V grade students of SDN 250 Sinar Gading II was very good.

Abstract

Education is an important factor to achieve a better life and to help the economy. There are lots of levels of education and the education level that we will analyze is secondary education. Secondary education provides lots of benefits, starting from knowledge and skills, training in attitudes, instincts, and ensuring students will get a job after graduating. Not only that, but Portuguese secondary education also guides the development of the students so they will be well prepared for work and real-life situations. The educational level of Portuguese has also improved from last decades because in the past, lots of students failed and this causing failure rates is increasing. The failures are caused by Mathematics which are the core subjects. Because of this, Portuguese schools are still monitoring students who didn’t pass yet by using the data. We will analyze using 3 operators (i.e. Generalized Linear Model , Random Forest, Naive Bayes) and found out that past grades, demographic, and several attributes play a role in education (Cortez & Silva, 2008). We also found that Naive Bayes method has a high accuracy. The goal of these projects is to identify what makes education successful and fail and to aim for any new prediction.

Abstract

One form of the implementation of Tri Darma in every university is that students are required to do Real Work Lectures (KKN). This program is a form of student service to the community which is carried out in a certain area in groups. but with the Covid-19, this service activity was transferred to their respective residences independently. The place of this research is Dukuh Sidewi RT 02/09 Dawung Village, Matesih, Karanganyar and aims to describe additional learning activities for local children in the Community Service Program through educational classes so that they do not only spend their time playing online games. The methods in this service are (1) Asking for permission to conduct KKN to the head of Dukuh Sidewi as a work partner. (2) Discuss the work program that has been prepared and adapted to the problems that exist in the children in the Dukuh Sidewi area. (3) Gathering the local hamlet children to make an educational class schedule. (4) Providing learning as well as assisting children through educational classes consisting of literacy classes, calligraphy classes, coloring classes, TPA and bilingual classes focusing on the Arabic language. The result of this service is that, with the existence of educational classes, the children become more focused in using their time, then become very spirit, enthusiastic and happy and there is an increase in the number of children at each meeting.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Majapahit Kabupaten Buton Selatan dengan metode Pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini terdiri dari empat langkah yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi dengan dilakukan dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah melalui tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada Siklus I terdapat 7 siswa yang memperoleh nilai diatas KKM atau 41% tuntas, dan 10 siswa yang memperoleh nilai di bawah KKM atau 59% belum tuntas. Siklus II terdapat 14 siswa yang memperoleh nilai diatas KKM atau 82% tuntas, dan 3 siswa yang memperoleh nilai di bawah KKM atau 18% belum tuntas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan Metode Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Majapahit Kabupaten Buton Selatan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini  mengungkapkan peran orang tua dalam menyikapi perkembangan media informasi yang di dalamnya memberikan pendidikan seks untuk anak sekolah dasar di Salatiga. Tujuan  penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran orang tua terhadap pemanfaatan  media informasi,  dalam memberikan pendidikan seks anak sekolah dasar di Salatiga. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan mengambil data yang diperoleh dari wawancara dengan subjek. Dari hasil wawacara, peneliti membuat coding dan menginterprestasi pemaparan yang diungkapkan oleh subjek. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Simple Random Sampling, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 20 orang tua. Hasil penelitian ini  dapat memberikan kesadaran bagi orang tua untuk berperan dalam menyikapi pertumbuhan media informasi untuk memberikan pendidikan seks anak sekolah dasar di Salatiga.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran pada hakikatnya adalah terciptanya proses komunikasi, yaitu ada proses penyampaian pesan dari sumber pesan (pendidik) melalui bantuan alat atau media tertentu kepada penerima pesan (peserta didik). Oleh karena itu media atau alat pembelajaran sebagai alat bantu dalam pembelajaran yang ikut mempengaruhi kondisi, iklim dan lingkungan belajar yang di ciptakan dan dikelola oleh pendidik. Media secara garis besar bisa berarti manusia, materi, atau kejadian yang membangun kondisi agar peserta didik memperoleh pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan dalam pembelajaranya. Secara lebih khusus media pembelajaran merupakan alat-alat grafis, photografis atau elektronik yang dipakai oleh pendidik untuk memproses, menangkap dan Menyusun Kembali informasi visual dan verbal agar bisa dicerna dengan baik oleh peserta didik. Penggunaan media elektronik oleh guru sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan rangsangan berfikir peserta didik dengan melibatkan segenap panca inderanya, semakin banyak panca indera yang dilibatkan dalam pembelajaran untuk menerima dan mengolah materi pembelajaran, maka akan semakin besar kemungkinan materi pembelajaran tersebut dapat difahami, dimengerti, dan dipertahankan dalam ingatannya. Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan blended learning yaitu memadukan kegiatan melalui online dan offline, kegiatan melalui online dilakukan dengan media zoom sedangkan kegiatan offline berupa pendampingan langsung terhadap guru-guru yang menjadi sasaran pengabdian. Hasil pengabdian ini secara umum berjalan dengan lancar dan sesuai dengan rencana dengan menghasilkan beberapa media pembelajaran elektronik yang dibuat oleh guru-guru setelah kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan.

Abstract

Mathematics is still considered a complicated and boring subject. So that a special method is needed to teach mathematics to make it an easy and fun lesson. One of the fun learning models is the make a match type cooperative learning model. This study aims to determine the type of cooperative learning make a match to improve mathematics learning outcomes in fourth grade students of MIN 1 Bener Meriah. The research method used in this research is classroom action research. The study was conducted in class IV MIN 1 Bener Meriah. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, tests, and documentation. Then the data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis, namely statistics used to analyze the data by describing or describing the data collected as they are without intending to make conclusions that apply to the general public or generalizations. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes from pre-action, cycle I, and cycle II. The average value of the students' average score was 57.83 in the pre-action only 8 students who finished learning (22%). In the first cycle, the average value of the class increased to 67.81 and the number of students who completed was 21 students (58%). In the second cycle, the average value of the class increased to 75.86% and the number of students who completed was 33 students (92%).

Abstract

The aim of this research study was at finding out the types of grammatical errors in writing recount text of the semester 3 students of English education department of IAIN Takengon. The participants were 50 students of the semester 3 students of English education department of IAIN Takengon in the academic year 2017/2018 that chosen randomly. The study consists of five steps, namely data collection, error identification, error quantification, error description, and error explanation. The research instrument was in the form of a writing assignment. The data were obtained from the students’ writing products. The results of the study are as follow: The total errors found in the students’ writing test are 1179 that divided into fourteen types of error, as they: spelling (14.16%), finite verb (13.15%), preposition (10.96%), error in verb tense (10.52%), pronoun (8.31%), content of usage (7.55%), content of meaning (5.68%), redundancy (5.51%), non-finite verb (5.43%), agreement of singular and plural (4.75%), unintelligibility (4.41%), word choice (3.99%), word order (2.97%), and error in punctuation (2.71%).
