Abstract

The Persuasive Language of Makassar City Celebrities in Offering Products. This study aims to: (1) Describe the form of persuasive language of the Makassar City program in offering products. (2) Describe the function of the Makassar City program in offering products. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The focus of this research is phrases, clauses, and sentences. The source of the data in this study is celebgram. Data collection techniques are carried out by screen recordings, screenshots and observations. The research instruments consist of researchers, recording tools, and data analysis guides. The results of the study revealed that the persuasive forms used by the program when offering products, namely the form of affirming, the form of rewards, the form of offering several products, the form of praise, the form of swabbing, the form of persuasive language convincing, the form of persuasive language in the form of an invitation, the form of persuasive language in the form of orders, the form persuasive language in the form of asserting, persuasive language forms in the form of questions, forms of guarantees, forms of follow-up and forms of diverting attention. The function of persuasive language used by program celebrities is the function of providing information, the function of introducing products, the function of adding value. The use of several persuasive forms is due to consumers coming from different backgrounds. The use of various persuasive language functions so that consumers are more confident in choosing the products offered.

Abstract

Values of Character Education in Class X SMA Indonesian Textbooks. This study aims to describe the values and functions of character education in Class X SMA Indonesian textbooks. The type of research used is qualitative research with a causal approach in which any data obtained will be processed based on general ethical principles. This study uses a qualitative descriptive design. The results of the study showed that the values of character education contained in Indonesian language textbooks for Class X SMA, namely: religiosity, nationalism, integrity, independence, and mutual cooperation. While the functions of the values of character education, namely: faith, nobleness, health, knowledge, capability, creativity, independence, morality, and responsibility.

Abstract

Analysis Of Affixation Verb In Reading Text Indonesia Book Clas VIII. The study aims to: (1) Describe the form of verb affixation in the reading text of Indonesian language books for clas VIII, (2) Describe meaning of verb affixation in the reading texts of Indonesian books for class VIII. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive method.  The data sources in this study were obtained from reading texts in the revised 2017 edition of the Indonesian language book class VIII by Suherli et al. The techniques used in data collection are reading, identification, and classification techniques. The results of this study found that verb affixation consist of: 1) prefixes: men-, ke-, di-, meng-, ter-, se-, and ber-; 2) the suffixes –an, -kan, and –i; and 3) confixes of ber-an, ber-kan, ke-an, pe-an, and se-nya. The meaning of verb affixation found is grammatical meaning because the process of word formation can result in changes in meaning. The grammatical meaning is formed because of the grammaticalization process such as giving affixes (affixes), reduplication (repetition), or compounding words so that the basic word become compound words.

Abstract

The Effect of Applying the Radec Model on the Ability to Write Expositional Texts. This study is entitled "The Effect of Applying the RADEC Learning Model on the Ability to Write Exposition Texts in Grade VIII Students at SMP Negeri 27 Makassar. This study aims to describe the ability to write expository texts before, after, and the effect of applying the RADEC model to class VIII students of SMP Negeri 27 Makassar. This study is quantitative. The data in this study were obtained from students' pretest and posttest scores. Data analysis techniques used in this study used descriptive statistics using the SPSS version 21 test and inferential statistics by carrying out normality tests, homogeneity tests, and effectiveness tests. The results of the data homogeneity test showed a sig value of 0.639 > 0.05, so the data was called homogeneous. The results of the one sample test showed that the t count > t table, namely 3,282 > 2,009, supported the hypothesis H0, namely that the use of the RADEC learning model was effectively used in learning to write exposition texts for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 27 Makassar.

Abstract

The Value of Character Education in the Story of Colliq Pujie. This study aims to describe the values of character education and the strategy of conveying the values. This research is qualitative descriptive. This research was conducted by reading and recording the values of character education and its delivery strategies. The results of the study found five main values of character education values based on Permendikbud No. 20 of 2018 in the story of Colliq Pujie. In the independent value, a different subvalue was found from the description of Permendikbud No. 20 of 2018, namely, the innovative subvalue. The strategy of conveying the values of character education is conveyed directly through the painting of character and descriptions in events/stories. Strategy indirectly, conveyed through the author's language style and implied in the story. The styles of language found are majas reps and hyperbole.

Abstract

This type of research is classroom action research. The research data includes observation process data and questionnaires, and result data in the form of test questions. Source of research data is 1 teacher and 35 students. The research process was analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques. The research was conducted in two cycles each lasting three meetings. The results of the learning test for the ability to listen to recordings of drama performances through the Group Investigation method showed an increase after comparing the test results in cycle I to cycle II. The test results in cycle I only reached the sufficient category so that it affected the process and student learning outcomes. Then it was improved in cycle II by applying the Time Token Debate technique. Significant results are indicated by the proportion of cycle II test results that reach the very good category and the good category. The increase from cycle I to cycle II was 18.20.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of learning to using pop-up media on seventh grade students. Describe the effect after the use of pop-up media on seventh grade students and describe the effect of learning outcomes on writing procedure text for students. The research method used a pre-experimental design with a research design of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results of this study are that there is an influence of students from 31 students before using Pop-Up media (Pretest) which is not good as many as 29 students (93.5%), while the influence of students after using Pop-Up media (posttest) is that most of them have the ability to write with the category very good as many as 24 students (77.4%). Based on the analysis of regression test, it was found that the p-value of 0.00 <0.05 which indicates a significant in learning outcomes with Pop-Up media.

Abstract

The value of teaching in the epic I La Galigo is expected to be a reference for other research and a consideration in carrying out educational development in Indonesia. Providing awareness about the existence of learning values contained in local wisdom as a legacy that is owned in Indonesia so that it can provide a perspective on the development of education in Indonesia. This study uses a reflective/reflective method with Schleiermacher's hermeneutic study on text analysis and text reconstruction. The data used as the object of study is the epic manuscript I La Galigo episode We Cudai Gives Birth to I La Galigo. Data analysis is in accordance with using qualitative data analysis. The results of the study show that the epic I La Galigo episode We Cudai Gives Birth to I La Galigo has pedagogic value, especially in teaching value. The concept of character formation, teacher knowledge and inspiration is embodied in the discovery of meaning in the text above. There are teaching values about responsibility, sacrifice, orientation, scientific mastery and the ability to provide reinforcement by a teacher to instill mindset, principles, knowledge, intelligence, criticality and analysis. ability of students.
