Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the principal's transformational leadership on teacher professional commitment and the mediating role of teacher academic optimism. This research was conducted on teachers in 10 schools in Bengkalis distnct, Riau Province, there were 232 respondents as the research sample, while the research time was carried out between October and December 2021 Data analysis techniques were in the form of validity and reliability tests with SEM-analysis. PLS via software WarpPLS Version 7.0 This study has found that transformational leadership indirectly affects the professional commitment of teachers in carrying out their duties, which is 0.423. In addition, this study also shows that the effect of transformational leadership on teacher professional commitment is mediated by teacher's academic optimism of 0 535 This study found that transformational leadership directly affects teachers’ professional commitment by 0.112. The principal's transformational leadership has a positive predictive effect on teacher academic optimism of 0.603 and teachers’ academic optimism has a direct effect on teacher professional commitment of 0 702.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of locus of control on job satisfaction mediated by work-life balance. This research is explanatory research that uses quantitative techniques to test hypotheses empirically. The population in this study were all Civil Servants (PNS) who were staff at the Riau DPRD Secretariat, totaling 188 employees. The number of samples in this study was taken using purposive sampling. So that the number of samples in this study was 188 employees. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The hypothesis in this study was tested using SEM-PLS analysis through the SmartPLS version 3.0 software. The results of the study show that the External Locus of Control has a positive effect on job satisfaction. Internal Locus of Control has a positive effect on job satisfaction. External Locus of Control has a positive effect on Work-Life Balance. Internal Locus of Control has a positive effect on Work-Life Balance. Work-Life Balance has a positive effect on job satisfaction. External Locus of Control has a positive effect on job satisfaction mediated by Work-Life Balance. External Locus of Control has a positive effect on job satisfaction mediated by Work-Life Balance.

Abstract

BPJS Ketenagakerjaan nationally has experienced an increase in quantity, such as an increase in the number of employees, prospective employees, the number of participants, payment of claims, and even in terms of the number of work accidents and deaths of participants has also increased. In terms of quality, such as the satisfaction of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants based on the survey, it has also increased. This means that every year there are improvements in the service and management performance of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. However, in addition to improving operational performance both qualitatively and quantitatively, there were also internal problems, especially from the leadership aspect. The subjects of this study were employees working at the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan in the West Sumatra Regional Office. The population in this study were all employees at the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Regional Office of West Sumatra, totaling 154 people. The number of samples in this study was 61 respondents and the sample was taken by random sampling method, namely taking random samples which were considered to represent all employees. Based on the results of the analysis, several conclusions can be drawn: 1) Empowering leadership influences the performance of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan employees at the West Sumatra Regional Office. 2) Empowering leadership influences the leader-member exchange (LMX) of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan employees at the West Sumatra Regional Office. 3) Leader-member exchange (LMX) influences the performance of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan employees at the West Sumatra Regional Office. 4) Empowering leadership and leader-member exchange (LMX) jointly influence the performance of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan employees at the West Sumatra Regional Office.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of leader humor on job satisfaction and leader-member exchange at the Rokan Hilir Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency and to determine the effect of Leader humor on job satisfaction through Leader-member exchange at the Rokan Hilir Regional Disaster Management Agency. The population in this study were all employees at the Rokan Hilir Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency, which, based on observations, totaled 77 people. The sample that makes up is the entire population or saturated sample. Thus the sample in this study amounted to 77 employees. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded, 1) The first hypothesis is that Leader-member exchange has a positive effect on job satisfaction. The results of the hypothesis test showed a t value of 11.289 with a sig. 0.000 then H1 is accepted. 2) The second hypothesis is that Leader humor has a positive effect on job satisfaction. The results of the hypothesis test showed a t value of 3.340 with a sig. 0.001 then H2 is accepted. 3) The third hypothesis is that Leader humor has a positive effect on leader-member exchange. The results of the hypothesis test showed a t value of 5.894 with a sig. 0.000 then H3 is accepted. 4) The fourth hypothesis is that Leader humor influences job satisfaction with LMX as a mediator variable. The results of the hypothesis test showed a t value of 6.004 with a sig. 0.000 then H4 is accepted

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of Humor Leadership on Job Crafting mediated by Organizational Support and Work Engagement of DPRD Secretariat Employees of Riau Province. The population in this study were all employees at the Riau Provincial DPRD Secretariat with a sample of 100 respondents, where the sample was taken using a purposive sampling method, namely selecting samples based on certain criteria or considerations. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and dissemination using Google Forms. The data analysis technique in this study was Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using SmartPLS 3.0 as a data processing tool. The results of this study indicate that humorous leadership has a positive and significant effect on Perception of Organizational Support, work engagement and job crafting at the Riau Provincial DPRD Secretariat, Perception of Organizational Support and work engagement has a positive and significant effect on Job Crafting at the Riau Provincial DPRD Secretariat. The results of the study also show that Perception of Organizational Support and work engagement are able to mediate the relationship between humorous leadership and Job Crafting at the Secretariat of DPRD Riau Province.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the High-Performance Work System (HPWS) on the innovative work behavior of elementary school teachers with the role of the teacher's proactive behavior as mediation. There were 63 elementary school teachers in Pekaian District who worked for a minimum of 1 year as respondents in the study. Sampling was carried out using the convenience sampling method and analysis techniques using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of the WarpPls 8.0 program. This study shows the results that the High-Performance Work System (HPWS) has a positive but not significant effect on the innovative work behavior of elementary school teachers in Pekaian District, while the High-Performance Work System (HPWS) has a positive and significant effect on teacher proactive behavior, and teacher proactive behavior has a positive effect and significant to the teacher's innovative work behavior. The role of the teacher's proactive behavior is able to mediate part of the relationship between the High-Performance Work System (HPWS) and the innovative work behavior of elementary school teachers in Pekaian District. The managerial implication of this research is that school principals must be able to motivate teachers to increase their proactive behavior and to improve the High-Performance Work System (HPWS) of the schools they lead so that they can increase teachers' innovative work behavior

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership, and work stress on the desire to move which has implications for employee satisfaction the population in this study are employees of PT. Bank BPR Tuah Negeri Mandiri, totaling 48 people. The data analysis technique used is Structural Equation Model (SEM) modeling using the Partial Least Square (PLS) program. The SEM-PLS evaluation model is based on prediction measurements that have nonparametric properties. The results showed that: (1) leadership has a significant effect on turnover intention, with an effect of 0.45, (2) leadership has a significant effect on job satisfaction, with an effect of 0.43, (3) job stress has a significant effect on desire Switching has an effect of 0.39, (4) Job Stress has a significant negative effect on Job Satisfaction with an effect of -0.26, (5) Desire to Move has a significant negative effect on Job Satisfaction, with an effect of -0.28.
