Gurutta of Education: Journal of Islamic Religious Education Studies and Islamic Education Issues (e-ISSN: 2829-6737) It is published twice a year in June and December. The Journal of Islamic Religious Education is published by the Masters Study Program of Islamic Religious Education Postgraduate Program at the Muslim University of Indonesia and contains scientific writings on the study of Islamic Religious Education and related studies. It contains various thoughts in various forms, such as research results, conceptual ideas, and empirical experiences. In its development, Gurutta Journal pioneered online publishing and expanded the range of contributors from all over the archipelago. In the future, JGE will expand the scope of contributors from several Islamic countries and other countries that have an interest in the study of Islamic education in the archipelago and internationally.

Abstract

The efforts of Islamic religious education teachers in fostering student morals have an important role. Moral development in students actually determines the moral portrait of students and can be a measure of the success and failure of education, especially Islamic education. Teachers have a strategic role in fostering the morals of these students so that their functions and roles can be maximized, especially Islamic religious education teachers. Teachers must be able to become uswatun hasanah which later what the teacher does will be imitated by students in real life, in an effort to foster student morals, a teacher must familiarize students with noble and religious character by facilitating students with material, worship practices, reading the Koran, mutual respect and commendable character. The purpose of this study is to discuss the efforts of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in Fostering Morals of Students at State Junior High School 2 Maros, and the Effectiveness of Moral Development at State Junior High School 2 Maros.This study uses a qualitative approach. Data was collected using the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data is processed by interpretive qualitative analysis starting with data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate some efforts of Islamic religious education teachers in fostering student morals at the State Junior High School 2 Maros. Among them are: a) Exemplary, b) Habituation, c) Advice, d) Rewards, e) Punishment f) Order. The effectiveness of moral development at the public junior high school 2 Maros is in the Effective category, as evidenced by the effectiveness ratio data, which is 81, the level of Effective Achievement

Abstract

One of the effective forces that determine the success of a school or educational institution in achieving its goals is the leadership of the principal. The principal is one of the components of education that has the most role in improving the quality of education. Quality education refers to a quality education. The purpose of this study was to find out how the role of the principal's leadership at SDIT Ibnul Qayyim Makassar in improving the quality of education at the school. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this research are the Principal, Deputy Principal, SDIT Ibnul Qayyim educators and the data collection methods are observation, interviews, documentation and triangulation. Data analysis went through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of this study indicate that the role of the SDIT IQIS principal has been very good as evidenced by the programs that have been carried out in an effort to improve the quality of the curriculum, the learning process, the quality of students, the quality of teachers and education staff.

Abstract

Moral education seeks to create situations and conditions in such a way that students are encouraged and moved in soul and heart to behave and be civilized, or good manners, in accordance with the expectations of educational institutions. In this study, preparations, methods, approaches, and values were used to apply moral development to determine the process and effectiveness of moral development. that the time required to see the success of the coach in implementing moral development depends on the method and approach used. Also look at the readiness of students to accept the methods and approaches applied. The results of this study concluded that the strategy of moral development at the Rahmatul Asri Modern Islamic Boarding School uses several methods and approaches, namely: the hiwar/dialogue method, the qur'ani or prophetic story method, the uswah/exemplary method, the ta'widiyah/habituation method, the tsawab/reward method, methods of fostering cleanliness, and methods of punishment. The approaches are: the personal approach and the attention approach.

Abstract

The Sakinah Heritage is an effort by the Directorate General of Islamic Guidance at the Ministry of Religion to transform the Office of Religious Affairs into a better direction through the synergy between Penghulu and Religious Counselors. The aim is to find out the extent of the Sakinah heritage program through the Office of Religious Affairs and the effectiveness of employee performance in improving the quality of marriage services in Makassar City. This research method uses qualitative methods with the reason that the questions are open so that researchers can be flexible and develop questions because researchers want to describe and analyze the implementation of the transformation of the Sakinah heritage program through the religious affairs office (KUA) in Makassar city. The results of research at the Biringkanaya religious affairs office show that the Biringkanaya sub-district religious affairs office has an area of 48.22 km2, a population of 234,632 people, and the number of marriage events/year is 1,063. Judging from the religion adopted, it is noted that the majority of the population of Biringkanaya Sub-district is Muslim. The number of places of worship is quite adequate. There are 266 mosques, 14 prayer rooms (langgar/surau), and 23 churches.

Abstract

Until August 2021, the number of unemployed SMK graduates reached 11.13 percent of the total number of unemployed people in Indonesia. Principals are required to be active, creative, innovative, and productive in order to prepare their students or graduates to have academic and professional abilities in the field of competence to apply, develop, and disseminate science, technology, and art so that they can compete in DU/DI because improving the quality of education will have an impact on people's interest in choosing these schools. To obtain data, the authors use observation data, interviews, and documentation. Observations are to observe a number of school residents at SMK Negeri 2 Barru and interviews with school principals and teachers to find out the strategy and effectiveness of principal leadership in improving the quality of education at SMK Negeri 2 Barru. The results of the study concluded that the principal's strategy at SMK Negeri 2 Barru in improving the quality of education is to prepare school planning and development, improve discipline, increase graduate competence, prepare quality human resources, hold extracurricular activities and establish cooperation with school residents, committees, guardians of students, alumni, and educational institutions

Abstract

Quality education is expected to form quality Indonesian people who believe and fear God Almighty and carry out religious orders according to what they adhere to. One proof of the government's seriousness in developing the quality of educational institutions is stated in government regulation no. 57 of 2021. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent of the Madrasah Head's strategy in improving the quality of education at MAN 1, Makassar City. The research method used is a qualitative approach. Sources of data were obtained from the head of the madrasa, vice principal, and staff of MAN 1 Makassar City. The results showed that the Head of Madrasah MAN 1, Makassar City, improved the quality of education by implementing bartering, building, binding, and bonding strategies. The Head of Madrasah MAN 1 Makassar City makes efforts by instilling the attitude of the heart of education (learning by heart), supervising, applying discipline and building cooperation with various educational stakeholders

Abstract

Theoretically, the type of leadership has a relationship with achieving goals. This article analyzes the leadership typology applied by the Headmaster of MTs.N 1 Makassar to improve the quality of education. Before analyzing it, the data were collected through triangulation of techniques and data sources. The same data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation guided by the relevant research instruments. In terms of data sources, triangulation is applied by integrating data sources from informants, documents, and empirical facts observed to obtain the same data. It aims to ensure that the data presented can be trusted for its validity and accuracy. The data collected was reduced, systematized, and analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. After going through the series, the leadership type of the madrasah principle is summarized in three keywords, namely democratic, humanist, and collective types. The leadership typology is based on modern theories and the values ​​of local wisdom sitinaja, sipakatau, and sipakalebbi'. Integration between modern management theory and local wisdom can touch the sense of humanity and togetherness of madrasa stakeholders. It can support establishing a positive influence environment for all madrasa stakeholders to realize quality madrasa education services jointly. Based on that, a headmaster of madrasa must have integral intellectual, managerial, and spiritual competence and understand the values ​​of local wisdom that stakeholders uphold. The indicators for the achievement of quality improvement are assessed from several achievements and the satisfaction of various parties.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of character education and the role of Muslim teachers in SMP-IT Darul Istiqamah Maros. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The location of this research was carried out at SMP IT Darul Istiqamah. sources of research data using primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively with the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. Based on the results of the analysis of this study, it was found that the implementation of character education at SMP-IT Darul Istiqamah Maros went well, including the formation of students' religious character, character building for students themselves, and character building for others. The role of Muslim teachers is very important in character education in Indonesia. SMP-IT Darul Istiqamah Maros. This important role makes Muslim teachers play a role as a source of learning, a role in guiding, being an example, and acting as an advisor
