Abstract

This study was due to several problems related to the Learning English in writing. The problem was low daily test in writing on procedure text. Hereby, this study aimed to find out whether there was significant difference the students’ score procedure text in the control class and in the experimental class after using blog. Furthermore, this study used quasi experimental design. Then, the total sample was 37 students taken from class XI ITT as experimental class and XI IPS as control class of MA.KM Muhammadiyah. Moreover, the result of this study showed that the calculation of post-test of both classes, experiment class and control class was as follow, it obtained that the t-obtained (2.171) which was higher than the t-table (2.030) with degree of freedom (df) = 35. The alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected which meant that there was significant difference score writing in the control class and in the experimental class after using blog. It proved that using blog as writing could help the students in improving their ability in writing. This blog could be used as an alternative tool and it hoped that this blog improved students' abilities, especially on procedure text.

Abstract

In this thesis, the author is looking for reading comprehension in teaching reading skill. The students understood the text only a little and most of them still feel thet studying the Arabic language is the most difficult of the lessons. And they obtained a result that did not reach the minimum standard for the obtained score. The purpose of the research is to explore the effectiveness of the reading method to improve the reading comprehension efficiency of the students at the Miftah Islamic Sciences School in Canduang, Agam. The author used experimental research to improve reading comprehension efficiency in teaching reading skill. The data collection method id observation and tests. To analyze the results of the research, the author used the T-test rule. She researched in two class, the experimen class and the control class. For the students in experimental class, the writer used the reading method in teaching the reading skill (reading comprehension). While in the discipline class, I did not aplly this method and taught the method of grammar and translation. The result of teaching reading comprehension among students in the eleventh semester after using this method. The everage result of the post-test in the experimental class is 88, as for the average result of the post-test in the control class,it is 75,16. The author found that result of the t-account is (8,600) and result of the table is (2,90), so the result of the t-account is greater than the t-table, the diffrerence between them means (5,7), and the author came to the conclusion that using the method of reading is effective to improve the comprehension of the reading comprehension among students at Miftah Islamic Sciences School in Cnduang, Agam.

Abstract

One of the problems is that the teacher used the traditional teaching method and did not use the modern teaching method in teaching the Arabic languge, especially in teaching grammar, so the author wants to try the youtube video method in Arabic language especially teaching grammar. As for the research objectives, it is to find out the effectiveness of using the youtube video in mastering the compotions of tenth grade students in the department of Arabic language education, college of education and educational sciences, state Islamic University of Bukittinggi. In this thesis, the author uses experimental quantitative approach, designing with a type design eksperimental. The writer takes the research sample 64 people. 31 in the experimental class and 33 in the control class. The research group is placed at random and gives the post-test. The author concluded that there is a difference between students who teach compositions using the means of youtube video dan syuras. The experimental class had an average score of 72,58 for the pre-test, and an average for the post-test 84,75. In the control class, the average score for the pre-test 74,74 and the average score for the post-test 80,75. The effectiveness of using the youtube video tool in mastering the compositions of the students of the tenth grade in nur al hidayah Islamic secondary school, shasmatorkis, Rewar, South. Therefore, the hypothesis is accepted (2,737 is greater than 1,998). What is meant is that there is an effective use of the youtube video in mastering the compositions.

Abstract

Teaching the language in the primary school is one of the preferences for education, just as teaching the Arabic language is whether it is teaching other foreign languages, and it trains students on the language skill that divides teaching the Arabic language inti four skills, they are listening skill,speaking skill, reading skill and writing skill. To improve the reading skill of the students, the training is basic, is introducing them to vocabulary and making a simple sentence, through various types of teaching methods that motivate students and provide a wide space for students to have maximum reading skill or understand texts as soon as possible. The researcher found the type of experimental research in quantitative proximity with the pre and post test design. As for the population and the sample they numbered 42 students, with the sample being 21 students from class 5-b. research tools is a practice test (pre and post test). Based on the results of the research and data analysis, the results of calculating the results of the post-test for the control class that were taught using the tradisional education model, with a rate of 71,42, and the post-test for experimental calss using the script method for cooperative education with a rate of 88,09. This indicates that there are differences in learning outcames in the experimental class and the control class. Thus, in testing the hypothesis with a probability of 5% (0,05), the results of the account T 3,385 and the table T 1,684 were obtained, so that the account T is greater than the table T. The zero hypothesis (Ho) is repeated and the substitution hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Thus, there is an effect of the cooperative learning script method on reading comprehension among fifth-grade students in the state Islamic primary school 1 Agam.

Abstract

The researcher found the problems with little interest of the students of the ninth class in the Islamic Education School Canduang Agam on the skill of writing,especially in writing the Arabic sentence in the story, the illustrated story of stripe, and the teacher uses limited teaching methods in the writing skill. The purpose of the research is to find out the effect of the picture-story method on teaching the writing skill of ninth-grade students at the Islamic Education School, Canduang. The researcher used the experimental research to find the effect of the picture story method in teaching the writing skill. The research community is ninth class students at the Islamic Education School, Canduang. The researcher divided the sample into two classes: the experimental class and the control class. The sample was taken using the purposive sampling method and the research tools are observation and test. The researcher used a t-test to analyze the data. After analyzing the data using spss, the researcher obtained the results of the research: 1) the researcher found the T of the account 3,557 and the T of the table (df=n-2) 50=52-2, so the percentage value of the distribution of the Tof the table in the degree of 50 is 2,008. Based on this statement, it appeared that the t of account 3,557 is greater than the t of the table 2,008, and thus alternative hypothesis is accepted (Ha). 2) then researcher found the result (sig.2-tailed) 0,001, which is less than 0,05. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis is acceptable. The researcher takes the conclusion that these results are that use of the picture story method affects the teaching of writing skill among the students of the ninth class at the Islamic Education School, Canduang.

Abstract

Early childhood has a strong curiosity, that's one of its characteristics. This curiosity can be overcome by using the media as a media application. Because learning English as a language that is widely used in the world today is quite a difficult task, especially for young children. However, there are many ways to make learning English easier, especially speaking skills, by using learning media, such as listening to children's songs, watching animated videos, and using application features on mobile phones. Learning media is anything that is used to increase the effectiveness of learning for each student. Through the development of technology, education and mass media, they can create a more attractive and efficient way of teaching for everyone, especially children. In early childhood, the media used certainly attracts more attention, such as the use of flash cards and pictures. This learning media causes the emergence of creativity for every child which is useful for improving their abilities, especially speaking skills, so that children are even more courageous to express their opinions using English.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and explore the extent to which the dawn education program at the Al-Qur'an Education Park plays a role in fostering the morals of students. The method used in this study was qualitative research with a case study approach. Data were obtained from three informants who were selected and then interviewed and observed in detail. Then the data collected was analyzed then reduced and presented and in the final stage, conclusions were drawn from the research findings. The findings in the study after being analyzed found that there were several stages of roles in fostering the morals of the students, namely: training the discipline of the students, Amanah, and the students' responsibility in carrying out their duties, and instilling religious values in the students. Furthermore, the research findings found that there were methods used in cultivating the morals of students, namely the exemplary method, the habituation method, and the advice method. Then there are the supporting factors, namely bringing in competent teachers, obeying the rules, guarding the teachers, and parental support. And the inhibiting factor is the existence of children who like to disturb their friends and the many agendas from home. Based on these findings, it is hoped that it can become an illustration in fostering children's morals, especially students who have studied religion, and become initial data for further researchers in discussing different contexts and issues in their research.

Abstract

This study examines the improvement of self-control among high school students in Padang City: from the perspective of Islamic religious education. This research aims to explore the efforts of Islamic religious education teachers in enhancing the self-control of students in high schools in Padang City from the perspective of Islamic religious education. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that Islamic religious education teachers at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang make various efforts to improve students' self-control in the aspects of Behavior Control and Cognitive Control. In terms of Behavior Control, teachers use religious activities, character formation through the subject of faith and morals, as well as teaching the moral values of Islam. In terms of Cognitive Control, teachers apply active learning, remedial and enrichment programs, motivation, and student development. The results of this study show that the efforts of Islamic religious education teachers at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang in improving students' self-control have had a positive impact, as students develop the ability to regulate behavior, control emotions, and make good decisions. Supporting factors in improving students' self-control include well-programmed religious activities, school and teacher support, and a conducive environment. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include academic pressure, negative peer influence, and an unsupportive environment. This research provides deeper insights and understanding of the efforts of Islamic religious education teachers in improving students' self-control in high schools in Padang City, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors that influence this process. This study can serve as a reference for further research and provide practical benefits in enhancing students' self-control through an Islamic religious education approach.

Abstract

Schistosomiasis is an infectious disease of public health importance in the African countries. Due to poor prevention, poverty, and poor settings; areas like Sokoto, Nigeria are battling with the disease. Consequently, people are compelled to use preventive measures locally. There is recorded use of A. sativum for the prevention of schistosomiasis without enough scientifically supported information in that regards. Therefore, this work evaluated phytochemicals, acute toxicity, and subchronic toxicity (effects on some kidney indices). Standard methods and reagents of analytical grade were utilized. The work reveals the presence of some phytochemicals, no acute toxicity (at 4000 mg/kg body weight), as well as no major change in the urea, uric acid, and creatinine levels. 1.111 mg/dl to 1.118 mg/dl creatinine, 1.011 mg/dl to 1.025 mg/dl urea, and 1.120 mg/dl to 1.140 mg/dl uric acid were determined in control and highest dose (4000 mg/kg body weight) (p<0.05). This indicates that, the plant is likely to elicit little effects on the experimental animals. Much work is important to evaluate sufficiently the safety of the A. sativum in prevention of Schistosomiasis in the Sokoto, Nigeria.

Abstract

The quality of indoor air in various buildings is crucial for maintaining the health and well-being of individuals. Exposure to airborne microorganisms can have detrimental effects on respiratory health. This study aimed to evaluate the microbiological quality of indoor air in selected primary schools in Aliero, Nigeria. Three primary schools were randomly chosen, air samples were collected using settle plates. Petri dishes containing different culture media were exposed twice daily (morning and noon). The number of organisms per cubic meter of air (CFU/m³) was recorded, and standard microbiological methods were used to identify bacterial and fungal isolates. The study revealed a wide range of bacterial and fungal contamination in classroom environments. Bacterial loads ranged from 543-165 CFU/m³, while fungal loads ranged from 146- 32 CFU/m³. Four bacterial species and five fungal genera were identified. The bacteria included Bacillus spp, Proteus spp, Staphylococcus aureus, and Micrococcus spp, while the fungal genera isolated included Aspergillus spp, Mucor spp, Fusarium spp, Penicillium spp, and Rhizopus spp. The most prevalent bacteria were Bacillus spp (34.38%) and Micrococcus spp (28.13%), while the most frequently isolated fungi were Fusarium spp (36.36%) and Penicillium spp (33.33%). The finding of this study has shed light on the indoor air quality of selected primary schools in Aliero. The present study also revealed the microbial diversity as well as the frequency of occurrence of various isolates. Measures such as improved ventilation, stringent cleaning protocols, and regular monitoring to ensure a healthier indoor environment for both students and staff.
