Abstract

Against a variety of events that indicate a lot of maladaptive behavior by teenagers, this article aims to provide insight into the use of the "spitting in the soup" technique as one of the designs in Adlerian counseling that seeks to reduce maladaptive adolescents behavior. This technique is an intervention to make the counselee aware of his wrong actions and should be corrected. Counselee behavior is gradually eliminated by removing rewards earned from his behavior. The technique of "spitting in the soup" has four stages: 1) establishing friendly and intimate relationships with counselees, 2) identifying counselee's basic mistakes, 3) asking questions and asking consent to share insights about inappropriate repetitive behavior patterns, 4) the counselor spits on the soup (the counselee problem) and discussing counselee reaction openly about the steps of the counselor.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to reveal the effectiveness of group guidance in improving student interpersonal communication at the X grade in SMAN 1 Tanjurhalang. This research used quantitative approach with quasi experimental by using pre-test post test control group design. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. This research used 20 students as sample that was divided into two class, 10 students as experimental class and 10 students as control class. In the experimental class. Group guidance processed in 8 meetings. After conducting a series of research, finally the writer concluded that group counseling of guidance are effective in improving interpersonal communication at the X grade students of SMAN 1 Tanjurhalang.

Abstract

This research objective to: (1) describe the design of Module counseling postdisaster (2) perform the module validity test and (3) perform the module reliability test. This study is a descriptive study involving 4 experts and 12 counselors from several areas in West Sumatra as the subject of trials. Instrument used includes (1) instrument validity content of module (2) Inventory training knowledge improvement counseling service for post disaster (3) Inventory of proficiency of post disaster counseling service (4) reliability module instrument (5) training session instrument. The result of this study reveals the post-disease counseling module can be accepted and can be used for self awareness program, knowledge and counselor competence in doing conscience post disaster event. It is expected that this module can be used by counselors and developed by advanced researchers.

Abstract

This research aim to determine effectivity of group guidance service to increase student social interaction. This research is quantitative research with quasi experiment approach through nonequivalent control group design. Data were collected by questionnaire. Subjects in this research is 10 students. Data were analyzed with paired sample t test. The result of this research is group guidance service can increase student’s social interaction.

Abstract

This research investigated a paranoid type of schizophrenia patients who have a high suicide impulse is characterized by depression and mental disorders, desperate and feel helpless, negative events in life, social isolation, family disorders, lack of understanding of the meaning of life and negative self-acceptance. The purpose of this study was to determine the clinical features and application of supportive therapy with counseling techniques to reduce impulse suicide in schizophrenic patients. The method used in this study is a single case study design. Researcher using observation, interviews and psychological tests which are Wechsler-Bellevue Intelligence Scale (WBIS), Sack’s Sentence Completion Test (SSCT), Graphics, Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) and supportive therapy intervention with counseling techniques. Results showed reduced impetus suicide intervention, strengthened by the results of pre-test 9 in medium category (medium Intent), while the post-test scores are included into the low category 3 (low intent) with the Suicide Intent Scale (SIS). Prognosis on the subject: positive, where the impulse suicide reduced.

Abstract

This research aims to gives an overview of the self-concept of students SMK Sumbangsih Jakarta Selatan based from four aspects (physical,condision, social relations, emotional state and intellectual ability). Schools are responsible for improving the quality of education and developing self-concept of students in a positive direction. This research uses survey method and data analysis by simple statistical analysis. The sample in this research is 45 students by using saturated sempling techniques. The result of this research shows that the self-concept of students SMK Sumbangsih Jakarta Selatan are in very high category. In conclusion, students of SMK Sumbangsih have very high and high self-concept based on physical,condision, social relations, emotional state and intellectual ability. The implications of research results for BK teachers are the basis for the preparation of BK service programs in order to develop and improve student self-concept in a positive direction.

Abstract

Communication is a process of delivering the ideas or feelings by a person (as the communicator) to another (as the communicant). Affect each other, between motivation to do something according with their communication skills, with the performance they generated. The purpose of the research is to know the influence of the inter-personal communication skills and motivation-to teach toward the teacher performances. This research used survey method. Samples measuring 57 person with randomly choose all of the teacher of high school Trisoko and Pusaka 1 East Jakarta. Data Data collection by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The results of the research shows that Sig = 0.000 and Fcount= 84,147, while Ftable= 4,013. Because the valeu of Sig < 0,05 and Fcount>Ftable so H0 rejected, which means that the regression coefficient is significant. This research conclude that there is a significant influence on independent variables, inter-personal communication skills (X1) and motivation-to teach (X2), on teacher performance (Y).

Abstract

Learning achievement is a baseline of success in education. In an effort to educate students, then the competence of school counselors is an important thing to have. Competent school counselors will be able to make students motivated in learning. These competencies include pedagogical, personality, social and professional competence. This also applies not only to subject teachers but also to school counselors. School counselors who have high competence have a great influence on the achievement of student learning, because with guidance and counseling services are optimal, a student is able to encourage himself to achieve learning achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and self-esteem with the student procrastination behavior Madrasah Aliyah in Malang Raya. This study uses measures in a quantitative approach that is research correlation multiple regression. Data analysis were performed with SPSS 23.0 for Windows. The results showed that the relationship between self-efficacy and self-esteem has a significant relationship with p =, 000. Relationships between variables included in the criteria being the value of R =,432. Self-efficacy and self-esteem accounted for 18.7% influence on the behavior of procrastination. Partial calculation showed that the relationship between self-efficacy with procrastination have a very significant with p = .015. Their relationship into low criteria with r = -2.443. While between self-esteem with procrastination have a very significant relationship with p=, 000. Relationships are both included in the high criteria with a value of r = -8.056.

Abstract

This study aims to investigated correlation between guidance and counseling teacher role with student learning motivation. Research method that used were quantitative with survey approach. Data and data resources in this research from students of XI SMK Muhammadiyah 9 Jakarta amounting 254 students. Sample in this research amount 35 students from students of XI Administrasi Perkantoran with purposive sampling technque. Instrument in this research is questionnaire. Data were analyzed by product moment correlation. The result of this research show that guidance and counseling teacher role with student learning motivation is was low. It is known through the analysis and processing of questionnaire data obtained correlation coefficient into the low category that is equal to 0.260.
