Abstract

Antenatal care is a crucial activity that should be done periodically in all pregnant women. The goal of antenatal care is to monitor the growth and development of the fetus and to prepare the women to successfully deliver healthy baby. Monitoring fetal growth is important to detect fetal growth restriction condition promptly and make any intervention needed as soon as possible to avoid further complications. The measurement can be done conventionally by measuring the fundal height.   On the other hand, ultrasound scanning to measure fetal biometry is more accurate to do so. A community serviced activity has been performed to monitor fetal growth at Kelurahan Ciangsana to 24 pregnant women, which showed a quite good result.

Nutritional problems can occur in any phase of life, starting from the time the child is in the mother's womb until entering old age. One of the nutritional problems that is being hotly discussed is stunting. Stunting is one of the chronic nutritional health problems that is still widespread in Indonesia. One solution to overcome the problem of stunting is to make additional food from marungg powder or moringa leaves where Marungga or moringa has many good benefits for body health, especially in the context of preventing stunting in toddlers. The purpose of this activity is to reduce the increasing number of stunting problems in children in Pledo village by providing additional food in the form of cassava porridge marungga powder. The method used in the process of implementing this activity is to conduct interviews to find out the problems that exist at the location, socialization in the form of stunting crackdowns, making additional food and distributing additional food in the form of cassava porridge marungga powder. The implementation of this service program has obtained very good results for stunting mitigation by providing additional food for Bubur Singkonkong, in addition to making additional food in the form of Cassava Porridge Marungga Powder which is expected to be given or served to children. After this activity, it is hoped that Pledo villagers can use moringa in their daily lives to reduce stunting problems in Pledo village.

Abstract

Domestic waste is a global problem that is growing along with population growth and changes in consumption patterns. Domestic waste, if not handled properly, can cause environmental and health problems. Pineapple peel as a type of domestic waste has the potential to be used as an alternative pharmaceutical product because it still contains compounds in it, such as enzymes and bioactive compounds. Utilizing this waste not only reduces negative impacts on the environment, but also creates high-value products that are beneficial to society. Utilizing pineapple peel waste as a dishwashing soap product is the focus of our community service. The use of fruit peel waste represents a progressive step towards sustainability, small-scale home industry innovation and waste reduction which are increasingly important in efforts to preserve the environment and create products that are more beneficial to humans.

Abstract

President Joko Widodo in 2085 dreams of Indonesia's human resources having superior intelligence compared to other countries. In the medical field, life expectancy has increased, quality of life has improved and the health system has become better. The 2022 Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey shows that 7.7% of children under five are thin, 17.1% underweight, 3.5% overweight and 21.6% short. The prevalence of stunted children under five in Indonesia is number 4 globally and 2 in Southeast Asia. The prevalence of stunted toddlers at the national level is equivalent to 6 million Indonesian children with the potential to lose an Intelligence Quotient (IQ) of 10 to 15, and to improve nutrition for stunted children it is estimated that it will require 300-400 trillion. Research by Tassew Woldehanna, et al in 2018 in Ethiopia explained that children who experienced stunting had scored 16.1% lower on vocabulary tests and 48.8% lower on quantitative assessment tests. The general objective is to improve the status of the target family subject to assistance. While the specific objectives include: a). Increasing mothers' knowledge of the subject of the target family for assistance b). Improving the nutritional status of children under five with stunting, wasting, and obesity, c. Improving clean and healthy living behavior in target families for assistance The families of the mentoring participants consisted of fathers aged ≥30 years, 71.4%, all with high school education, 28.6% were self-employed. Meanwhile, 28.6% of mothers aged <30 years were housewives and 85.7% had graduated from high school. After mentoring, there was a significant increase in nutrition and health knowledge (p=0.032) of 25.9 points. There were significant changes in knowledge and actions before and after mentoring However, there was no increase in the child's weight after the assistance was provided.
