Abstract

This research emphasized on failure analysis method that used in the process of analyzing 3 failures such as unbalance, bearing defect, and mechanical looseness based on domain frequency of vibration signal. Diagnosing failures by vibration signal that obtain by specific frequency that is showing the failure or defect followed by analyzing using failure analysis method. The final result that obtained after experiment is failure analysis method can determine one failure mode in each data that has been taken. Unbalance failure that indicated because of the highest peak of amplitude is appear on 1x rpm (31,25 Hz), bearing defect amplitude peak on 1x BSF frequency (49,82 Hz), and mechanical looseness on 0,5x, 1x, 2x, 3x rpm.

Abstract

Analysis of the Effect of Different Operating Hours on The Quality of Tellus 32 Lubricants On The Headstock of DoALL LT 13 Lathes is required to determine the interval of lubricant replacement time and to determine the effect of operating hours on the quality of Tellus 32 lubricants on the headstock of doall lt 13 lathes. Lubricant is a material (usually liquid) that serves to reduce wear between two surfaces of moving objects that rub against each other. The more hours of operation, the viscosity will also increase. This is due to the shifting force of the lubricant while the machine is operating. From the results of research and analysis of linear regression for lubricant replacement is based on viscosity . This for longer lubricant replacement if, compared to the manual book lathe DoALL LT13.

Abstract

Bangka Belitong is one of the largest tin islands in Indonesia. Indonesia’s tin mininng is nearly 300,000 tons a year, but unfortunately 95% of these products are exported overseas because of the scarce products used in the country. The research aims to design the layout of spin casting casting casts and to get a refined product with optimum rotation. The benefit of this study is to help umkm (small medium-size microendeavor) Kebajig Lure to acquire the most subcutaneous product's surface roughness. The method used in this study, using experimental research methods to sift data derived from crusty testing of the surface and simulated results. The result of this research is that 3 variant layout design was woven layout design variant 1, with a runner's position at tail Angle of 135, The most generous variant. The first of the three rounds, the one with rpm (round per minute) 350, is optimal with a rough surface value of 1.41 µm And for a turn which produces the most subtly roughness of the surface with 450 that has a cohesive surface value of 1.19 µm.

Abstract

Pepper trees grow vines up to a height of 4 meters supported by other trees or using a pole called an arbor. The current problem is that during the pepper harvesting process, farmers generally pick by hand. In 2020, D3 students made a pepper picker design tool using a remote to control its movement, this tool cannot move automatically, from this problem a convolutional neural network (CNN) based pepper fruit detection system was created. This system uses the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method. CNN implementation uses Tensorflow tools with Python programming language. The number of datasets is 100 images of pepper and 100 images of non pepper. Based on the test results, the prediction precision level is 95%, accuracy is 89%, and recall is 90%, so it can be concluded that the detection system using a webcam can predict pepper fruit well.

Abstract

Grinding is done to remove the remnants of the uneven machining process to produce a flat, smooth surface and get the desired accuracy. The research that has been conducted aims to determine the effect of variations in depth of cut and variations in dromus mixture on the surface roughness of AISI 1045 steel material after quenching and a good dromus mixture for flat grinding processes. The method in this research is experimental. The depth of cut variations given are 0.015mm, 0.020mm, 0.025mm and the mixed dromus variations are 1:10, 1:15 and 1:20. The results of this study with a depth of cut of 0.015mm with a mixture of dromus 1:10, 1:15, 1:20 get the results of 0.228µm, 0.151µm, and 0.107µm. A depth of cut of 0.020mm with a mixture of 1:10, 1:15, 1:20 dromus resulted in 0.220µm, 0.205µm, and 0.155µm. A depth of cut of 0.025mm with a mixture of 1:10, 1:15, 1:20 dromus yields 0.268µm, 0.214µm, and 0.155µm. The roughness value obtained increased with increasing the depth of the cuts made, but decreased if the dromus mixture was getting dilute.

Abstract

The result of a large material removal rate is the desired goal in the CNC MORI SEIKI MV40-m process, the right settings for the MORI SEIKI MV40-m CNC process must be adjusted so that a large workpiece Material Removal Rate response is obtained. The research that has been conducted aims to determine which parameters contribute greatly to the Material Removal Rate and to determine the effect of variations on each parameter. The parameters of the machining process that were varied were the cutting speed and the infeed depth. The experimental design is based on the Taguchi method and is in the form of an L9 (32) orthogonal matrix. The analytical method used is Taguchi. The experiment was carried out randomly 3 times in order to produce more optimal results and prevent disturbances that occurred during the machining process. The results showed that the parameter that contributed greatly to the Material Removal Rate was cutting speed, which was 7.2%. To obtain a large workpiece Material Removal Rate, the cutting speed is set at 180m / min and the infeed depth is set at 0.26 mm.

Abstract

Trolley is a means of moving from one area to another. A very helpful manual tool for moving goods, in order to facilitate the movement of an item to the destination. However, these activities will be hampered if the luggage is a lot and heavy. So the trolley will be made slightly different from the general trolley, namely in the form of a trolley that can be paired as a bicycle holder. This tool has a main frame that can be called for a load, the frame itself uses low carbon steel material in the form of a hollow box, namely St37 steel with a length of 188 mm, width 15x15 mm and thickness of 1.3 mm. In this study, to complete the analysis of frame strength using Solidworks Software, using a static simulation feature so that the stress value that occurs can be known. Solidworks is able to improve and validate performance and reduce the need for prototypes or costly design changes at a later date. The results of this study indicate that the trolley using low carbon steel material with a predetermined size is able to withstand the load of 30 kg.

Abstract

The result of minimal surface roughness is the desired result in the machining process of the JAINNHER Cylindrical Grinding Machine type JHU-3506H No.3506H006, because the cylindrical grinding machining process is included in the advanced machining process in the field of finishing. This study aims to obtain the smallest roughness value and what percentage of the influence of each parameter on the surface roughness of the cylindrical grinding machining process. The machining process parameters that were varied were the workpiece rotation speed with parameters 66 rpm, 100 rpm, and 158 rpm to the depth of cutting with parameters 0.015 mm, 0.020 mm, and 0.025 mm. The optimization method used is Taguchi. The experimental design was determined based on the Taguchi method and was in the form of an orthogonal matrix L9 (3^2). The experiment was carried out randomly with 1 replication to overcome the disturbance factor that occurred during the machining process. From the research that has been done, the results obtained show that to obtain a minimum surface roughness of the workpiece, the rotation speed of the workpiece is set at 66 rpm with a feeding depth of 0.015 mm. And to reduce the variation of the response simultaneously, the rotational speed of the workpiece has a contribution of 12.0625% and the depth of cutting has the largest contribution, which is 83.8622%.

Abstract

The welding procedure looks very simple but in practice there are many problems that must be overcome where in repairing it requires various kinds of knowledge, electric arc current and welding defects greatly affect the strength of the weld joint. he conducted a study to determine the effect of electric arc current on low carbon steel St 37 on impact strength. The test method was carried out by the charpy method using five (5) variations of amperemeter 160,180,200,220,240 with plate dimensions: 200mm×100mm×10mm and using a single V seam, with a welding position of 1G (groove). GMAW welding method. specimen dimensions 55mm,×10mm,×10mm,. So it can be concluded that the lower the electric arc current, the higher the impact price, and vice versa, the higher the arc current, the lower the impact value. The results of the highest impact value on an electric arc current of 160 from the Capping weld with a value of 0.92778 (Joule/mm²), and the smallest value is found in the result of the Root Pass weld on an electric arc current of 240 with a value of 0.09875 (Joule/mm²) .

Abstract

Indonesia as a tropical country has the potential to develop and utilize solar energy as one of the many solar energy conversion systems, this solar energy conversion system can be applied to overcome the depletion of existing conventional fuel reserves. The main objective of this final project is to determine the effect of solar tracker angle on solar panel power on 1 axis and 2 axis solar tracker. The angle of the solar tracker affects the performance of the solar panel, namely the closer it is perpendicular to the arrival of the solar light, the greater the voltage and current. Solar cells that use a tracker are able to absorb solar energy more optimally than those without a tracker. The power absorbed by the 2 axis solar tracker is very large, so this tool has a greater power efficiency than previous technologies.
