Abstract

Motivation plays a critical role in the performance, job satisfaction, and overall well-being of health workers. Understanding the factors that influence their motivation is essential for creating a supportive work environment and enhancing the quality of care provided. This is a cross sectional study consisted of 30 health profesionals who work at public health center of Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi in 2019. The results showed that all respondents were female and mostly aged 31-41 years (63.3%). Bivariat analysis showed that there was a significant relationship  between high education and recent length of service towards high motivation of health workers with the p value of 0.029 and 0.024, respectovely. After multivariat analysis, the OR (95% confidence interval) of these variables were 8.94 (1.11:71.89) and 9.38 (1.29:68.23), respectively. To conclude, eduction and length of service may contribute to the motivation of health professionals. Implementing strategies that promote continuing education opportunities, professional development programs, and career advancement prospects can contribute to enhancing the motivation levels of healthcare professionals.

Abstract

Banana stem (BS) waste is obtained in large quantities in banana production. In this work, microwave extraction (MAE) from BS was used, and the solvent concentration parameters were 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 96% (v/v) ethanol, and 5% HCl with a sample weight of 10 g each. The influence of solvent, time, temperature, and solid: the liquid ratio was evaluated on the extraction results. Total phenolic content (TPC) and its functional performance against Fusarium oxysporum. The effect of a high ethanol concentration on BS extraction was observed because the higher ethanol solvent concentration resulted in higher extraction results and TPC. Optimal MAE conditions were determined at 200 watts for 20 minutes, with 80% ethanol showing better TPC results than other ethanol concentrations, namely 0.7171 mg g-1. The results of chemical content analysis using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS) of BS extract of 80% ethanol obtained phenolic compounds, carboxylic acids, aldehydes, esters, ketones, and furans. BS extract of 80% ethanol showed antifungal activity of Fusarium oxysporum with an apparent zone diameter of 9.7 mm (moderate category). It can be concluded that MAE is an efficient technique for releasing bioactive molecules from BS with TPC and antifungal applications in the agricultural industry.

Abstract

Background: The rapid development of information technology in various sectors has become a common phenomenon in today's digital era. RME is a health information sub-system that is increasingly being adopted in Indonesia and is becoming a global trend in managing documents using computer/electronic based systems in the health sector. One form of progress in information technology in the health sector is the Electronic Medical Record (RME). Research method: The research method uses a literature review design, namely research that has been published. Strategy: using secondary data from the results of research that has been conducted by previous researchers. The source of the data obtained is in the form of articles or journals that are relevant to the topic of readiness to implement electronic medical records. The results of the study: the readiness to implement electronic medical records is still unprepared and some are quite ready. Based on the aspect of human resources it is not quite ready, based on the organizational work culture aspect it is quite ready, based on governance and leadership it is quite ready, and based on infrastructure it is not quite ready.

Abstract

Abstract: In this study, we synthesized photobilized TiO2 on a Ti plate and tested its photoelectrocatalytic activity towards Congo Red. The background of this research is to develop an effective and environmentally friendly water treatment method. The main method used was the sol-gel synthesis of TiO2 prepared from titanium tetra isopropoxide as a complexing agent, followed by photobilization on a Ti plate. Material characterization was conducted using XRD technique, portable Potentiostat (e-DAQ), and UV-Vis DRS (Diffuse Reflectance Spectrophotometric) spectroscopy. The results of this research showed that the TiO2 synthesis produced Anatase crystal structure with particle size of 13–16 nm and a band gap of 3.20 eV. Furthermore, the photoelectrocatalysis test demonstrated that TiO2/Ti exhibited activity in degrading Congo Red. The main conclusion of this study is that the synthesis of TiO2/Ti using the Sol-Gel method and immobilization on a Ti plate can enhance the photodegradation efficiency towards Congo Red. This finding has significant implications in the development of more effective and environmentally friendly water treatment technologies.

Abstract

Every year, the global industrial sector continues to experience rapid development, contributing to economic growth rates, especially in the textile industry. This has led to an increase in the amount of textile dye waste being distributed into the environment. One solution to address the issue of textile dye waste is by modifying clay with TiO2 (TiO2/clay) using degradation-adsorption techniques. In recent decades, the modification of clay minerals has become crucial due to their diverse potential as catalysts, adsorption media, and ion exchange agents. TiO2 serves as a medium for ion insertion (intercalation), which enhances pore and surface area. This study explains the properties of clay, the photocatalytic properties of TiO2, surface characteristics, and the photocatalytic/adsorption method on the TiO2/clay composite. Various types of minerals have been inserted, such as rectorite, montmorillonite, kaolinite, vermiculite, and halloysite, between the layers of clay minerals through different methods and applications.
