Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the influence of the mind mapping model on science learning. This type of research is a meta-analysis study. The data source came from an analysis of 11 national and international journals. Research inclusion criteria are research must be indexed Science and Technology Index (SINTA), DOAJ, Scopus and Web of Science (WOS), Research published in 2017-2023, research must be experimental methods, Research has a relationship between mind mapping models in science learning, Research must be in the form of international journals or proceedings, Journals must use Indonesian and English, and publications obtained by the Google Scholar database base, Frontiers journal, ERIC, ProQuest and Wiley. Data analysis by calculating the effeck size of the entire study, heterogeneity test, analyzing publication bias and p-value test to test the hypothesis with JSAP application. The results concluded that the average value of summary effect size was 0.67 medium criteria. This finding explains that the mind mapping model has a relatively moderate positive effect on science learning. The moderator's analysis showed more effective mind mapping models at the educational level and sample size

Abstract

This study investigates the multifaceted influence of digital learning analytics on student achievement within educational settings. The rapid integration of technology in education has given rise to the widespread utilization of digital learning analytics, which has the potential to transform how educational assessment strategies are designed and implemented. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, gathering quantitative data through surveys from various educators, students, and administrators while conducting qualitative interviews to provide deeper context. The findings indicate a significant adoption rate of digital learning analytics, with approximately 75% of surveyed institutions incorporating these tools into their assessment practices. Furthermore, most educators, administrators, and students perceive the positive impact of digital learning analytics on student achievement. However, the study reveals the nuanced effectiveness of various analytics tools and highlights pedagogical and ethical considerations associated with their use. The results underscore the need for tailored approaches to digital tool implementation and suggest the importance of balancing technological innovation with a holistic view of education. This research contributes to the ongoing dialogue on technology's role in education. It serves as a foundational step in understanding how digital learning analytics can enhance educational assessment and ultimately improve student achievement in the digital age.

Abstract

The landscape of higher education is undergoing a profound transformation driven by the omnipresence of digital technology. This research delves into the multifaceted dimensions of digital transformation in Indonesian higher education, focusing on technological adoption, pedagogical shifts, and socioeconomic implications. Our findings, derived from a diverse group of stakeholders within the sector, illuminate a complex tableau of opportunities and challenges. The research reveals that approximately 78% of respondents affirm integrating digital tools and platforms in their academic institutions, marking a substantial technological adoption. This adoption encompasses a remarkable 65% of respondents reporting the presence of Learning Management Systems (LMS), reflecting the centrality of technology in content delivery and student engagement. Pedagogical shifts emerge as a significant theme, with 72% of respondents acknowledging changes in their teaching methods. A noteworthy 61% employ blended learning strategies, ushering in a shift from traditional lecture-based pedagogies to interactive, student-centered models. These transformations underscore the commitment to enhancing the student learning experience and fostering critical thinking. Socioeconomic implications cast a dynamic shadow, with 58% of respondents recognizing the potential of digital education to bridge socioeconomic gaps. However, concerns expressed by 42% regarding the digital divide highlight the challenges in ensuring equitable access to educational opportunities. As higher education in Indonesia continues to navigate the digital terrain, this research underscores the need for a nuanced approach that leverages technological opportunities while addressing the challenges of equitable access and pedagogical innovation.

Abstract

The State Christian Institute of Ambon is a Christian religious higher education institution with lecturers, employees, and students of various faiths. Religious differences are often a point of conflict, but there has never been a conflict within the Institut Agama Kristen Negeri Ambon (IAKN Ambon) environment, despite different religious beliefs. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to know the portrait of religious diversity, the understanding of students, staff, and lecturers about religious harmony, the values of religious harmony, and the efforts made to build religious harmony at IAKN Ambon. This research uses a qualitative method for data collection, such as in interviews, participant observation, and document reviews, which would then be analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. This study's informants included Christian, Muslim, and Catholic lecturers, staff, and students. According to the results, there were three religious communities in IAKN Ambon: Islam, Christianity, and Catholicism. Relations among religious communities are excellent. This harmony can be seen in mutual respect, freedom of worship, and cooperation. This harmony has been built through several efforts, such as 1) providing understanding and awareness of the importance of harmony; 2) providing freedom of worship; 3) providing worship facilities; and 4) creating a common space.

Abstract

The Indonesian education system has undergone a profound transformation during the reform era that began in the late 1990s. This period of democratic change, economic shifts, and societal developments has reshaped the educational landscape in Indonesia. In this research, we explore the intricate evolution of the Indonesian education system during the reform era and emphasize the paramount importance of quality education. We argue that empowering teachers is instrumental in achieving this goal, positioning them at the core of meaningful educational reform. The shift from a centralized, rigid education system to a decentralized, adaptable one marked a seismic change in the Indonesian education system. The introduction of a competency-based curriculum aimed to equip students with essential skills, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities to prepare them for a dynamic global economy. Our research underscores the central role of teachers in shaping the quality of education and their pivotal position within the Indonesian education system. Empowering teachers becomes a fundamental prerequisite for the successful implementation of educational reforms. By investing in teachers, Indonesia can unlock its potential to create a more vibrant and dynamic education system, fostering enhanced student learning, ongoing professional development, and inclusivity.

Abstract

In our comprehensive study, "Analyzing the Socio-Political Dynamics and Curriculum Challenges in Indonesian Islamic Schools," we delved into the intricate world of Madrasah education in Indonesia. Our research aimed to understand the complex relationship between these institutions' socio-political dynamics and curriculum challenges. With their historical significance in Indonesia's education system, Madrasahs provide religious and secular knowledge. However, their sustainability in a rapidly changing world hinged on addressing critical issues, particularly the balance between religious and secular content and the impact of socio-political factors. Our research objectives encompassed a thorough analysis of curriculum challenges, examining socio-political influences, and identifying strategies for sustainable development. We employed various research methods, including surveys, interviews, and document analysis, strictly adhering to ethical considerations. Our study's results, presented entirely in the past tense, unveiled the intricate challenges faced by Madrasahs, including curriculum content, pedagogical methods, and resource limitations, significantly affecting student learning outcomes and the alignment of Madrasah curricula with national educational goals. Socio-political dynamics were found to play a central role in shaping Madrasah education, influencing autonomy, cohesion, and cultural preservation. Moreover, our study identified key strategies, including curriculum reform, teacher training, and community engagement, offering a roadmap for the sustainable development of Madrasah education in Indonesia. Our insights can guide policymakers, educators, and communities to ensure Madrasah education's continued relevance and inclusivity in a dynamic educational landscape.
