Abstract

Background: Several obstacles to pronunciation have been proposed and urged students to practice pronunciation deliberately. Regardless of these problematic, mobile applications can be a great assistant in pronunciation training. However, considering that Google Play is the most prominent android app store with 227,970 instructional devices, it is challenging to find and select pronunciation and phonetics applications. Students should be conscious of their needs by recognizing the proper mobile application for pronunciation learning. This study explores the pronunciation applications utilized by students for pronunciation learning in and out of the classroom. Methodology: This study administered the data with paper reports and interviews accompanying students. This study involved 41 students who were taking a pronunciation and phonetics course at the University of Kutai Kartanegara Tenggarong. Findings: Nine such applications, as reviewed in this study, are divided into two categories: English pronunciation special purpose (EPSP) application and English dictionary assisted pronunciation (EDAP) application. Noteworthy findings were not all of the applications fulfill the content and design approaches such the suprasegmental features, audio playback, and video camera recorder. Conclusion: This study endeavors to have a critical look at four applications recommended after concerning the term of Mobile Assisted Pronunciation Training (MAPT). They are AV Phonetic, English Phonetic Pronunciation, Listening Practice, English Pronunciation developed by Kepham, and U-Dictionary to assist pronunciation learning in and out of the classroom. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain the relationship between ecological intelligence and naturalist intelligence and environmental care attitudes. At one of the senior high schools, this study was conducted in 2022. This research uses descriptive and quantitative data. Pupils in senior high school made up the study's population, and a sample of those pupils was selected at random. In order to collect data, a questionnaire instrument is used to assess ecological intelligence, naturalist intelligence, and environmental concern attitudes. Data analysis used multiple linear regression and was tested using SPSS. The findings demonstrated a significant relationship between ecological intelligence and naturalist intelligence and their impact on environmental care attitudes. The results of the F test demonstrate that ecological and naturalist intelligence combination have a favorable and significant impact on attitudes toward environmental care.

Abstract

This study used a quantitative methodology. Experimental research is used, with a post-test-only control design as the study design. There were 100 students in the study's population, and students from classes A (the experimental type) and C (the control class) made up the sample. This study uses assemblers as a learning medium applied to those classes. Two variables are used in this study: the independent variable (the augmented reality feature in the assembler application) and the dependent variable (the ability to write descriptive texts for class students). Data collection techniques used are interview techniques, documentation, and observation. The application used to process research data is SPSS. This study's results show an influence between using augmented reality features and students' writing abilities. This is evident from the average value of the experimental class and control class.

Abstract

The lack of variety in the digital teaching resources that teachers utilize to facilitate learning in the digital era is what inspired this research. It is essential to create instructional resources that are relevant to students' daily lives. In addition, instructional materials that help improve students' mathematical skills are required. This study aims to provide digital teaching resources based on RME learning that can help students improve their mathematics communication abilities. The ASSURE model (Analyze Learners; State Objectives; Choose approach, Media, and Materials; Utilize Materials; Require Learners' Responses; Evaluate and Revise) was utilized in this study along with the R&D approach. This teaching material was tested on class junior high school students at a private school with a total of 30 students. The research results show that teaching materials meet the high suitability criteria in terms of content suitability, language, presentation, design, RME approach, mathematical communication, and evaluation. The teaching materials received a positive response from students, which met the appropriate criteria. After employing instructional materials, students scored an average of 76 on their ability to communicate mathematically. As a result, these teaching tools are deemed appropriate for use by teachers as extra learning resources.
