The extracts of the two bananas are used as the main ingredient of the moisturizer. The antioxidant activity of the two banana extracts was tested using the DPPH method. Based on the results of community service, skin moisturizers have an IC50 antioxidant activity of 10.52 (Kepok banana) and 14.00 (Awak banana). It could be concluded that both Sale Kepok Banana extract and Awak Banana extract have a strong antioxidant activity and could be used as a good moisturizer.

This community service activity used a survey method and direct outreach. The survey consisted of determining the location and the group, while the outreach consisted of preparing materials and tools, processing, and organoleptic testing (scoring test). The components of the organoleptic test consisted of taste, odor, shape, color, and savory. Panelists who gave organoleptic test assessments included village apparatus, lecturers, and the community with a total of 25 panelists. Questionnaires were used to see the level of success of the activity. The observation results of the activity, it is known that this activity can improve the knowledge of women in family welfare empowerment group (Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga/PKK) in processing milkfish into onion crackers. Also, the added value of milkfish can increase especially when the harvest is abundant. Organoleptic test results showed that color score 5(Yellow-brown), odor 4,3 (the scent of milkfish), texture 5 (crunchy), salty taste 5 (salty ideal), savory taste 4,6 (tasty).

Abstract

Alue Naga Village in Banda Aceh City is a village that has a river and is directly adjacent to the sea, so this village has the potential to produce oysters. Oyster shell waste is usually dumped on the banks of the river, into the river, or thrown back into the oyster farm. This results in land and water pollution. This pollution can cause rivers to become shallow; if this continues, it can result in natural disasters such as floods. Therefore, Therefore, this service aims to provide education and training related to oyster shell waste into something more valuable. This activity also involved CV. Natural Aceh Food is a forum for the community to market its products. The production process required ±5 minutes to grind 8 kilos of oyster shells and produce 7.7 kilos of oyster shell powder. Overall, the specific target achieved from this service activity is the packaged oyster shell powder to reduce oyster waste and empower the female oyster farmers in Alue Naga Village to earn additional income.

Abstract

The livestock fattening business carried out by the partner group in Cot Karieng Village Blang Bintang Sub-District, Aceh Besar is a part-time business with a traditional pattern. Provision of feed only relies on efforts to find field grass every day. Meanwhile, the availability of forage is very fluctuating wherein during the rainy season, fresh forage is abundantly available, while during the dry season, it is very scarce. The purpose of this activity was to increase the knowledge and skills of partner groups in procuring animal feed, especially for the dry season. The solution offered was the use of hydroponic forage cultivation technology (hydroponic fodder). The seed of the fodder plant used was corn seed. The program implementation method was carried out through a participatory approach (partners were involved and worked together) starting from the initial stage to the final stage. In the first stage, coordination meetings were held so that all involved parties understood the scope of activities. In the second stage, training was carried out on hydroponic fodder cultivation methods, while assembling and applying technology which included making fodder houses (green-houses), installing green-house water networks and the process of cultivating hydroponic fodder plants was conducted in in the third stage. The stages of the cultivation process included washing and disinfecting the corn seeds by immersing them in a 1% chlorine solution for 15 minutes, then the seeds were spread out on trays. Seed moisture was always maintained by an aeroponic system every 1-2 hours for 10 minutes. After 14 days of cultivation, 1 kg of corn seed produced 6 kg of corn fodder. After washing and air-drying the corn fodder was ready to be given to livestock. The results achieved from all the implementation of this activity are the availability of facilities for the production of fodder hydroponic fodder system and the partner groups already have the skills of cultivating fodder using hydroponic fodder system.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to introduce and provide training on the use of Autodesk Inventor software to produce Computer-aided Design (CAD) based technical drawings according to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The method is carried out through theory, practice, and discussion, as well as completing machine design tasks independently and in groups. The training materials include working drawings, basic introduction to CAD, two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) drawing modeling, assembly, and presentation of 3D models. Evaluation of activities assessed refers to the readiness to complete the design task and the suitability of the drawings according to ISO standards. Based on the results of the basic level CAD training, there were achievements where participants had completed the technical drawing briefing material and completed the given design task. The design project task given requires mastery in terms of making 3D models from 2D sketch images, making layout drawings, making working drawings, and presenting them in a moving model presentation format. Successful completion of the task indicates that the participants understand and can operate the Autodesk Inventor software. In conclusion, this basic ability can be used as a provision for participants' self-development in the development and mastery of advanced CAD. This activity contributes based on the high interest in participating in training to the end and completing assignments and also has an indirect impact on the preparation of skilled CAD workers in the industry in Aceh.

Abstract

Family dental and oral health care is an effective approach to improving dental health. Family dental care with a pick-up strategy motivates the willingness or will to carry out activities toward positive family dental health actions. Community service aims to empower family independence through dental care innovations in improving dental hygiene status in Banda Aceh City. This community service is carried out with a descriptive method, with the target of children and their mothers as respondents. Data analysis used univariate analysis. The intervention provided was in the form of problem-based counseling, measuring the dental hygiene status of children, and demonstration of dental procedures. The result of community service is that there is an increase in knowledge, attitudes, and practices of mothers (pre-test, post-test I, post-test II) in maintaining oral and dental health with the application of dental care. There is a change towards a better dental and oral hygiene status of children with the application of dental care from pre-test, post-test I, and post-test II. It is recommended the public health services make a UKGM program using a dental nursing care pattern with home visit services in improving the dental and oral health of the family.
