Jurnal Gizi Ilmiah : Jurnal Ilmiah Ilmu Gizi Klinik, Kesehatan Masyarakat dan Pangan merupakan jurnal ilmiah nasional yang mempublikasikan artikel penelitian (research article) dari disiplin ilmu gizi. JGI terbit sejak tahun 2014 oleh LPPM STIKes Karya Kesehatan dengan pISSN 2407-5515 dan eISSN 2749-990X. Frekuensi terbit JGI adalah tiga kali dalam setahun yaitu April, Agustus dan Desember. Artikel-artikel yang dimuat di Jurnal Gizi Ilmiah adalah artikel yang telah melalui proses penelaahan oleh mitra bestari (peer reviewers). Abstract

Diet is one of the efforts made to lose a person's weight. Many teenagers are dissatisfied with their appearance, especially regarding body image or perception of their body which includes body shape and size. This study aims to determine the relationship between body image and the diet of young women in SMA Negeri 1 Kulisusu Utara, North Buton Regency. This research is a descriptive analytic study with a cross sectional study design and has been carried out on 17-22 July. The population was all students of class X and XI of SMA Negeri 1 Kulisusu Utara, North Buton Regency as many as 180 people and a sample of 124 people obtained using the proportional stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that from 124 samples, most of them were 55 people (44.4%) with negative body image, unhealthy diet and 30 people (24.2%) with positive body image, healthy diet, then 21 people (16.9). %) with positive body image, unhealthy diet and 18 people (14.5%) with negative body image, had a healthy diet. The results of the chi-square test obtained p value of 0.001. The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between body image and the diet of young women in SMA Negeri 1 Kulisusu Utara, Buton Regency. Suggestions in this study are for SMA Negeri 1 Kulisusu to provide counseling or socialization about nutritional status and a healthy diet, especially for young women. For young women to apply healthy dietary behavior and understand the condition of their nutritional status, which in general have normal nutritional status, so there is no need to do the wrong diet. For further researchers, in order to be able to examine other factors that cause the wrong diet in young women of SMA Negeri 1 Kulisusu.

Abstract

Personal hygiene is a clean attitude and behavior of food organizers so that food is not contaminated. Some things that must be considered include health checks, hand washing, nose, mouth, teeth and ear hygiene, clothing hygiene and good living habits. and disease in humans. Hygiene and sanitation are important in determining the quality of food. This study uses a descriptive study design with a qualitative approach. The instruments used in this study were interview guidelines and observation checklist sheets. The results of the study in general the application of hygiene and sanitation in food processing has been carried out in accordance with applicable theories and standards. However, there are still discrepancies in the application of hygiene and sanitation in food processing. The conclusion in this study is that food processing is in accordance with the principles of food administration and applies the principles of hygiene and sanitation in food handling. Abstract

Socio-Economic and Parenting is an indirect factor causing malnutrition in children under five. Based on the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia nationally, the prevalence of nutritional status of children under five according to the combined indicators of TB/U and BB/TB in Indonesia in 2013 was short thin 2.5%, short-normal 27.4%, short fat 6.8%, normal-thin 9.6%, normal-normal 48.6%, and normal-fat 5.1% (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2013). This study aims to determine the relationship between socio-economic and parenting patterns with the nutritional status of children under five in the Dapu-dapura sub-district, the working area of ​​the Benu-benua health center. This type of research is descriptive analytic with the design (design) using a cross sectional study. This research was carried out June 17-10 July 2017. The population in the study amounted to 359 pregnant women. The sample in this study was 78 pregnant women who were taken by simple random sampling. Collecting data using a questionnaire. This study was analyzed using the Chi Square test with the results showing that there is a socio-economic relationship with the nutritional status of children under five, p value = 0.001. There is a relationship between parenting style and nutritional status of children under five, p value = 0.000. The results of the study can be concluded that it is necessary to educate health workers about the dangers of under-five malnutrition and how to prevent it so that mothers and families can better understand and behave about nutritional status in under-fives.

Abstract

Breakfast is food eaten in the morning before activity, which consists of staple food and side dishes or snacks. Breakfast time starts from 06.00 am to 10.00 am. Among the benefits of breakfast is increasing physical endurance, work productivity and concentration power. This study aims to determine the relationship of meeting the needs of macronutrients at breakfast with the concentration power of nursing students of STIKES Karya Kesehatan Kendari. This research is a descriptive analytic study, with a cross sectional study design and was conducted on August 14-18 at STIKES Karya Kesehatan Kendari. The population is students of the nursing science study program STIKES Karya Kesehatan Kendari batch 2014-2016 as many as 146 people and a sample of 109 people. Data were obtained using a questionnaire and using the chi-square test. The results of this study showed that out of 109 people, there were 33 people (69.2%) who had their carbohydrate needs met and 74 people (30.8%) who didn't. in the sample whose carbohydrate needs were not met. Furthermore, there were 36 people (33.6%) who had their protein needs met and 71 people (66.4%) who were not met, then most (38.3%) had poor concentration. found in samples whose protein requirements were not met. Furthermore, there were 101 people (94.4%) whose fat needs were not met and only 6 people (5.6%) were met, then most (39.3%) who had poor concentration power were found in samples whose fat needs were not met. fulfilled. Abstract

Ages 6 - 12 years (school age children) have a lot to do with their eating habits. Breakfast is highly recommended for school children so that when they receive lessons (1-2 hours after eating) blood sugar rises and can be used as a source of brain energy. One of the efforts to improve health is improving nutrition, especially at school age, especially aged 6-10 years. Breakfast or breakfast is an activity to eat food that contains balanced nutrition and fulfills 20% - 25% of total energy needs in the day before learning activities at school. This research is a descriptive analytic study with a cross sectional study approach. This research was conducted on 27 July – 1 August 2015 at SDN 1 Lelamo, North Buton Regency. The sample used in this study were 60 people. Breakfast habits of students by way of recall for 1 week, Determination of student achievement by looking at report cards (Indonesian, Science and Mathematics), and Nutritional Status by weighing and measuring height. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, while the test used is the Fisher's Exact Test. This study shows that most of the 95% of respondents' nutritional status is in the normal category, 91.7% of respondents' breakfast habits are in the unusual category, 78, 3% learning achievement is in the good category. There is no relationship between breakfast habits with learning achievement and there is no relationship between nutritional status and learning achievement. This study suggests that schools can provide nutrition education to students through mulok subjects so that students can know the importance of breakfast

Abstract

Breastfeeding is still constrained by the lack of knowledge of mothers about the benefits of breastfeeding and the correct way of breastfeeding, the lack of lactation counseling services from health workers, the leave period is too short for working mothers, socio-cultural perceptions and the addition of formula milk, the aggressiveness of formula milk producers in promoting their products to consumers. community and health workers. To achieve successful breastfeeding, knowledge of correct breastfeeding techniques is required. This study aims to determine the effect of counseling using leaflets in an effort to increase knowledge and attitudes of mothers about the correct way of breastfeeding at the UPTD Puskesmas Tongauna. This research is a Quasi Experimental research. The population in this study were all pregnant women in the third trimester at the UPTD Puskesmas Tongauna, Konawe Regency totaling 60 people and a sample of 60 people (30 cases and 30 controls) taken by total sampling. Data was collected by means of interviews using questionnaires and data analysis to determine the effect of counseling on mothers' knowledge and attitudes about breastfeeding using the paired sample t-test. The study showed that 53.3% of the sample had poor knowledge before counseling, 66.7% of the sample had sufficient knowledge after counseling, 60% of the sample had a bad attitude before counseling and 63.3% of the sample had a good attitude after counseling. counseling. There was an effect of counseling on mother's knowledge and attitude about the correct way of breastfeeding (p=0.000).

Abstract

The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding has not yet reached the target, this is caused by several factors including the low knowledge of mothers about the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding for the growth and development of babies, so they do not give a good attitude towards the implementation of exclusive breastfeeding. This study aims to determine the effect of exclusive breastfeeding counseling on the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women in the working area of ​​Mowewe Health Center, East Kolaka Regency. This type of research is a quasi-experimental where the design form used is a one group pre-test-post test design, which was carried out in April 2017 at the Mowewe Health Center Work Area, East Kolaka Regency. The research sample used total sampling from the existing population, which amounted to 30 people. Data were analyzed using statistical t-test at the 95% confidence level (α 0.05). There was an increase in the average knowledge of respondents after counseling with a value of 0.8666. Statistical test using The t-test at the 95% confidence level (α=0.05) showed a value of 0.000. There was an increase in the average attitude of respondents after counseling with a value of 1.1000. Statistical test using t-test at the 95% confidence level (α=0.05) showed a value of 0.000. There was an effect of exclusive breastfeeding counseling on knowledge of pregnant women (p value = 0.000). Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic systemic inflammatory disease with the main manifestation of progressive polyarthritis and involving all organs of the body. Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is caused by factors such as physical exercise and diet. This study aims to determine the relationship between physical exercise and diet with the incidence of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) in the elderly. This research is a descriptive analytic study with a Cross Sectional Study design and was carried out on March 29 - April 4 at the Tresna Werdah Social Home, Minaula Kendari 2017. The sampling technique with a total sampling of 55 elderly respondents suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), the instrument research using a questionnaire. The research analysis used the Kolmogorov Smirnov test statistical test. The results showed that 9 people (16.4%) elderly with light physical exercise experienced severe rheumatoid arthritis and a small proportion, namely 5 people (9.1%) elderly who did heavy physical exercise, experienced mild rheumatoid arthritis, mostly 8 people (5 ,5%) elderly have adequate diet, experience severe rheumatoid arthritis and a small proportion of elderly with good diet experience mild rheumatoid arthritis incidence, namely 5 (9.1%). The conclusion is that the p value (0.04) < (0.05), which means that the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected, so that there is a relationship between physical exercise and the incidence of Rheumatoid Arthritis, the p value (0.03) < ( 0.05), which means that the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected, so there is a relationship between diet and the incidence of rheumatoid arthritis. Suggestions in this study are expected for the orphanage to establish policies in optimizing prevention and treatment programs to minimize rheumatoid arthritis from mild to severe, as well as different types of food between elderly people with rheumatoid arthritis to avoid foods that trigger the worsening of rheumatoid arthritis.

Abstract

The incidence of menstrual pain in the world is very large. On average, more than 50 percent of women in each country experience it. Based on data on the number of students of SMU Negeri 1 Lohia in 2014, there were 62 Class I students, 55 Class II students and 57 Class III students, so the total number of teenage girls was 174 and 96 experienced menstrual pain, including 15 years old to the age of 15. 17 years. This study aims to determine the effect of warm compresses on reducing pain scale in adolescent girls who experience dysmenorrhea at SMU Negeri 1 Lohia, Muna Regency. This research method uses the Experimental (Pre Experiment) method with a one group pre-post test design. This design only uses one group of subjects, measurements are made before and after treatment. The population is all students or young women of SMU Negeri 1 Lohia who experienced menstrual pain in 2014 with a total of 96 students. The sample consists of 32 cases. The results showed that there was an effect of warm compresses on the menstrual pain scale in SMAN 1 Lohia students with a t value > t table (17,537 > 2,262) or a significant value of p > = 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). The conclusion is that there is an effect of warm compresses on the menstrual pain scale in SMAN 1 Lohia students in 2014. Suggestions to overcome dysmenorrhea pain is better given a warm compress in giving a warm compress and must pay attention to the correct way of compressing

Abstract

Antenatal care (pregnancy check-ups) is very important for pregnant women to know because it can help reduce maternal and infant mortality. Another advantage is to keep them healthy during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum and to make sure that babies are born healthy, while Pure K1 is the number of first contacts. pregnant women with health workers at gestational age 12 weeks. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and family support with low pure K I antenatal care visits at Puskesmas Lembo Kab. North Konawe. This type of research is an analytic survey with a cross sectional study design, where the population is pregnant women in the working area of ​​the Lembo Health Center, Kab. North Konawe in 2015 as many as 51 people. Sampling using simple random sampling technique, obtained 45 respondents randomly. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. The data that has been collected is then processed and analyzed using statistics (SPSS) version 17.0. Data analysis includes univariate analysis by looking for the frequency distribution, bivariate analysis by using chis square test. The results of statistical test analysis showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and low antenatal care visits. x2Hit = 18,687 > x2Tab = 3.841 with p value = 0.000, there was a relationship between attitude and low antenatal care visits. Pure KI value x2Hit = 25.527 > x2Tab = 3.841 with p value = 0.000 there is a relationship between family support and low KI antenatal care visits. The value of x2 Hit = 16,703 > x2Tab = 3.841 with p value = 0.000. So there is a need for pure K1 antenatal care socialization for pregnant women
