Menara Tebuireng (Jurnal Studi Islam) adalah publikasi ilmiah yang berusaha memfasilitasi artikel akademis dan tulisan ilmiah dari sejumlah studi penelitian empiris dalam bidang Studi Islam. Menara Tebuireng terbuka bagi akademisi, mahasiswa, peneliti, dan praktisi yang berminat untuk berkontribusi dengan pemikiran mereka, terutama dalam bidang Studi Islam. Abstract

Caring for the environment can create good conditions for schools to become a comfortable place of learning and awareness of the school community, so that in the future these school members can take responsibility for efforts to save the environment for Indonesia. The focus of this research and development includes: 1) The role of school principals in fostering awareness in SMPN 5 Jombang, 2) Knowing the characteristics of environmental care in SMPN 5 Jombang, 3) Knowing the constraints and solutions for environmental care in SMPN 5 Jombang. The research uses descriptive qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. For data analysis techniques using: data reduction, data display, data verification. To check the validity of the data by: (1) credibility: a. extension of participation, b. perseverance of observation, c. triangulation, d. Negative Case Analysis, e. Using reference material, f. using member check, (2) transferability, (3) dependability, (4) confirmability. The results showed that: (1) Principal leadership is very important because it is a driving force for school resources, especially teachers and school employees, (2) characteristics in the form of environmental care activities that can make the character of students who care about the environment, (3) obstacles and solutions in growing environmental care, namely: In schools there are students who have not complied with adiwiyata school regulations, new students who are not familiar with environmental culture due to differences in family background, narrow land, and the solution is that school residents must work together same to remind teachers especially to students, policing through environmental regulations in the form of prohibitions and penalties

Abstract

Improving the quality of learning in schools depends on several factors. A very important factor is the application of school culture towards quality improvement. School culture that must be maintained is one of disciplinary problems, including the discipline of teachers in attendance in class in the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study was to improve teacher discipline in the presence of teaching in the classroom through the application of Reward and Punishment measures in SMA Negeri Bareng, Jombang. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results of the study in the first cycle of discipline in the presence of teachers in teaching in late classes less than 10 minutes was 24.3%, which means that the results have not met the predetermined indicator of success of 75%. In the second cycle the discipline of the presence of teachers in teaching in late class less than 10 minutes was 78.4%, it shows that in the second cycle, the discipline of teacher attendance in the classroom in the learning process increased and fulfilled the set indicators of 75%. Based on the results of the research obtained it can be concluded that to improve the discipline of teacher attendance in the classroom in learning activities can be done by applying Reward and Punishment to the teacher

Abstract

The seminary is the oldest Islamic institution in Indonesia. So in this case there needs to be development and renewal, in order that the boarding school was not outdated. In an effort to improve the quality and characteristics of comprehensive description is from the field or service that shows in the ability to satisfy the needs of the expected or implied. In the context of education, the notion of quality includes input, process, and output of education. The motion of national development or challenge nowadays has been on a "modern" era. The era was marked by advances in science and technology as well as in its utilization. This triggered the birth of the implementation of strategic management in quality improvement efforts on education in boarding schools are increasingly demanding for expertise and specificities in the handle it, and puts this era as the era of human resources. To that end, enhance the quality of the institution required human resources that have skills that are relevant to the needs of education planning. Agency boarding schools are bound by the values and norms of the institutional mission. These values are derived from the values that are in the education institutions boarding schools to increase professionalism in the improved quality of education

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the economic thinking of Abu Al-Rayhan Muhammad bin Ahmad Al-Biruni (later Al-Biruni) and its relevance in the world of contemporary economics. This research is a character study through library research (penelitian kepustakaan) using qualitative methods with inductive data analysis techniques. The analysis of Al-Biruni's economic thinking is based on written references either by the book Al-Biruni itself or writing that discusses economic thinking. This study found that Al-Biruni's economic thinking was in four (4) themes. First, Human Resources (HR). Second, the urgency of cooperation. Third, handicraft and industrial activities, and fourth, money. The results found in this study are that of the four themes of thought, it is quite relevant to the world of contemporary economics as a solution in solving the economic crisis that occurred

Abstract

Sufism and social education cannot be separated because Sufism itself is the knowledge of all forms of behavior of the human soul, both praiseworthy and despicable, then how to rid oneself of despicable deeds and decorate it with the praiseworthy, how to travel the way to Allah and run as fast as possible towards Allah SWT. Human interaction with other parties does not come out of three types of relationships. The focus of this research consists of: 1) What is the value of social education in Al-Hikam?, 2) How is the implementation of the value of social education in Al-Hikam?. To discuss the above research, the literary method is used, this research is a philosophical approach that plays a role in opening up thinking to realize the phenomena behind something that appears and also using another approach, namely the biographical approach that aims to describe the thoughts or views of figures, religious figures, politicians, or historian. The data source is taken from the work of Taj Al-Din Abu Al-Fadl Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Abdul Karim bin Abdul Al-Rahman bin Abdulullah bin Isa bin Al-Husein bin Atha'illah with the title Al-Hikam. In this study, the following results were obtained: 1) Al-Hikam discussed a lot about Sufi Uluhiyah and Insaniyah. Tasawuf insaniyah discusses human nature related to human nature in the world and the hereafter. There is a maqamat that needs to be done to understand about relations with humans; tajrid maqam and asbab maqam. In this station, there needs to be an initial fortification in the form of a strong and straight mental self (riyadlah). And attitudes that can be learned in the book of Al-Hikam by Ibn Atha'illah are sincere, enterprising, tawadlu', friendship, respect for others, fair, and help each other. 2) The implementation of the value of social education in the book Al-Hikam is called suluk education which has two stages in its application, marhalah ta'sis (the phase of strengthening and planting) and marhalah nuwuww (the phase of distribution and development) which at each stage will be given suggestions and provision to make a good characteristic and nature of social education. Both phases will have an impact in critical thinking on the meaning of the relationship to Allah and the relationship to humans

Abstract

Educational institutions are an institution or organization engaged in the field of education as a place or place for the process of planning, managing and supervising education that aims to help and develop the intelligence of students and the components involved in it. In educational institutions there are various kinds of elements that form a unity and influence each other, such as from curriculum, human resources, financial institutions, and leadership from a school principal or madrasa. In relation to the research being conducted, the focus of the research is on: 1) The background underlying the establishment of Madrasah Muallimin Hasyim Asy'ari Tebuireng Jombang, 2) Efforts to restore the Salaf curriculum, 3) The process of developing the Salaf curriculum. This research is included in qualitative research. This research model uses the Snowball technique which is one of the research processes. Observations and interviews are the subject of research because the source of data from researchers, uses interviews that are accompanied by observations in the field to obtain data that is valid and in accordance with reality. By involving the founders of the madrasa, the head of the madrasa, the deputy head of the curriculum and the deputy head of the student field as the research resource. This research was conducted at the Madrasah Muallimin Hasyim Asy'ari Tebuireng Jombang. Madrasah Muallimin is the answer from the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School which is considered to have lost the Salaf curriculum material, so researchers are interested in what is the background and the history of Muallimin School. the establishment that was nurtured by KH Hasyim Asy'ari. In the results of this study, it is known several things related to the focus of research; first, the purpose of the establishment of the Madrasah Muallimin Tebuireng; second, in the effort to return the Salaf curriculum, it is known the process of returning the Salaf curriculum, the implementation of the Salaf curriculum, the Salaf curriculum management and the Salaf curriculum component; third, in the process of developing the Salaf curriculum, it is known that the Salaf Islamic Boarding School education system, the role of education staff, the management of the headmaster in the development of the Salaf curriculum, and the foundation of the quality of the Salaf curriculum. In the discussion it was concluded that the efforts of educational institutions in returning the Salaf curriculum at Madrasah Muallimin Tebuireng aimed to restore the Salaf curriculum which had been lost due to the existence of a general curriculum. Efforts were made, namely by gathering senior alumni and senior kyai to form an educational unit to continue the struggle of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari. As for the process of developing the Salaf curriculum, it uses a system approach model and a comprehensive approach model

Abstract

Educational supervision is all assistance from the headmaster of madrasa aimed at the development of teachers and other school personnel in achieving educational goals, it is in the form of encouragement, guidance, and opportunities for the growth of the skills and abilities of teachers. Based on this, this study aims to determine the implementation of educational supervision in improving the quality of learning in MAN 3 Kediri. The method used in data collection is observation, interview and documentation, while the data analysis technique uses a descriptive qualitative research approach, which is interpreted through descriptive explanations as a conclusion about supervision in improving the quality of learning. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that: (1) Implementation of educational supervision is carried out by compiling a program involving all citizens and overall, conducting upgrading through class visits, class observations, MGMP with mutual visits, training/workshops, evaluation and follow-up; (2). Improving the quality of learning through collaboration with teachers in strengthening the curriculum and developing learning tools, providing learning resources, tools and various teaching and learning facilities; (3) Implementation of educational supervision in improving the quality of learning through guidance and curriculum development, improving teaching and learning processes, and efforts to enhance the quality of teachers through coaching and up grading; (4) Obstacles to the Implementation of educational supervision in improving the quality of learning, namely: some teachers have not been able to deliver the material well, impromptu activities, facilities and infrastructure are damaged, coaching is often done on holidays. While the supporting factors are as follows: guidance on the content and concepts of curriculum thinking, internet facilities, madrasa books, socialization, certified teachers, adequate facilities and infrastructure in carrying out the teaching and learning process

Abstract

This Sorogan method system is considered a very difficult phase of the entire boarding school teaching system, because it demands patience, diligence, obedience and discipline of the students themselves, with this system I require students to actively learn in teaching and learning activities. This study aims to find out about the implementation of the sorogan method in improving the understanding of the santri about the yellow book at Al-Anwar Pacul Gowang Diwek Islamic Boarding School, Jombang. There are three problems in this research, namely: (1) How to increase students 'understanding of the yellow book through the sorogan system in understanding the mabadi' fiqih book; (2) How are the efforts to improve students' understanding of the yellow book through the sorogan method; (3) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors in increasing students' understanding of the yellow book through the sorogan method system. This type of research is a qualitative field, with a descriptive approach because this research only reveals and describes the data as it is based on facts that arise or occur at the time the research was carried out. The presence of researchers as non-participants because they are only observers. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use domain analysis. Checking the validity of data, persistence of observations, triangulation, referential adequacy and member checks. The results of the research on the implementation of the sorogan method system in improving students' understanding of the yellow book at Al-Anwar Islamic Boarding School. In their daily life, the students learn about the yellow book. In its delivery the teachers or ustadz are different methods used. One of them is the Sorogan method system. In this case the system of views is very positive. In this case the students said there were many benefits from the sorogan method. The sorogan method system is implemented inside the classroom and outside the classroom, especially in the Al-Anwar male Islamic boarding school. Constraints that occur during the method system include: their sense of ego in expressing opinions, lack of availability of reference books

Abstract

There is a degradation of students' morality and morality which is increasing over time in society, which in turn forms habits that are not in line with religious guidance. In addition, the low religious mentality of children is also a driving force for the increasing moral degradation of students, so religious mental fostering is very necessary, especially in educational institutions. Both in Islamic educational institutions, as well as in general education institutions. The focus of this research is divided into three, namely how to develop the mental religion of children in SMP Negeri 1 Kudu Jombang, how to preserve Islamic religious values ​​and what are the inhibiting factors or obstacles in the mental religious development of children at SMP Negeri 1 Kudu Jombang. The purpose of this study was to identify, describe, and analyze the Religious Mental Development of Children through the Preservation of Islamic Religious Values ​​Case Studies at SMP Negeri 1 Kudu Jombang. This type of research is a qualitative field, with a descriptive approach because this research only reveals and describes the data as it is based on facts that arise or occur at the time the research was carried out. The presence of researchers as non-participants. Data collection techniques by means of observation, documentation, and interviews. In this case the researcher will collect data about the Religious Mental Development of Children through the Preservation of Islamic Religious Values ​​Case Study at SMP Negeri 1 Kudu Jombang. Data analysis techniques use domain analysis. Checking the validity of the data through extension of observations, persistence of observations, referential adequacy and member checks. For the research results of the title Religious Mental Development of Children through Preservation of Islamic Religious Values ​​Case Study of SMP Negeri 1 Kudu Jombang is trying to foster and shape the mental religion of children through the preservation of Islamic religious values, namely Rahman value, Rahim value, piety value, and obedience. What is grown through the habituation of tawadhu to the teacher, accustomed to praying dhuha and praying five times a day, and accustomed to reading the Al-Qur'an

Abstract

Leadership is a person's way of making a road map to win as a team and organization. In good leadership there will be reliable management skills so as to be able to guide people to be effective efficiently. Likewise, the leadership in the pesantren or commonly referred to as kiai, kiai creates and regulates all activities in the pesantren both in the field of religion and activities that support the talents and interests of the students. The focus of this research and development includes: 1) Leadership of Kiai in Pondok Pesantren Fathul 'Ulum Jombang, 2) Leadership of Kiai in Efforts to Improve the Spirit of Entrepreneur Santri. The research uses descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. For data analysis techniques using: data reduction, display data, data verification. To check the validity of the data by: 1) credibility: a. participation extension, b. persistence of observation, c. triangulation, d. Negative Case Analysis, e. Using reference materials, f. using member check, 2) transferability, 3) dependability, 4) confirmability. The results showed that: (1) The leadership of the Kiai in Pondok Pesantren Fathul 'Ulum Jombang has a characteristic in a kiai that can make the students and pesantren residents obey the kiai, (2) Kiai's leadership in improving the entrepreneurial spirit of the students using a leadership style that is taken from the verses of the Qur'an which can foster a spirit of awareness and facilitate the interest and talent of students in entrepreneurship, and apply several entrepreneurial curricula in Pondok Pesantren to provide students with provisions when struggling in society not only with religious knowledge, but also life skills in themselves in order to support the economy.
